The Revenge.
It’s been thirteen years since I graduated high school. I eventually grew out of my nerd stage, appearance-wise, finished all the schooling I needed, and worked my way up to be a CEO of a pharmaceutical company that I work for.
Today I got a job application from an applicant by the name of ‘Melissa Higgins,’ and decided to personally call her myself.
She didn’t answer so I left her a voicemail.
“Hi, this is Megan Schuval,” I used my maiden name so she knew who it was “I’m calling about the application Melissa Higgins filled out. I’m sorry to say that we aren’t interested, thank you.” I hung up and leaned back in my chair.
‘Living well is the best revenge.’ I thought with a proud grin on my face.
