I'm Coming Out!

The next morning Jane drove me home and I quietly opened the door.
Last night was amazing and that last thing I wanted was the third degree from Andy or my dad.
I headed up stairs and took a quick shower before getting dressed and heading down stairs.
“Where were you last night?” my dad asked as I entered the kitchen.
“With Kate, I meant to call, but we fell asleep,” I lied.
“Okay, so how was your girlfriend’s birthday?”
“Excuse me?” I asked quickly opening the fridge.
“Don’t play dumb, Nevaeh. I know…”
“Who told?”
“No one, I over heard phone conversations and I saw you two kissing when she dropped you off this morning.”
“Oh… I was meaning to tell you I just didn’t know how too…”
“It’s fine…At least I don’t have to worry about anyone getting you pregnant.”
I laughed as my dad hugged me and kissed my hair. “I love you.”
“I love you too dad,” I said hugging him back.

Later that evening Jane was over my house returning the favor from last night. Afterwards my dad, his wife and Andy came home and Jane had dinner with us, as my girlfriend.
It was nice to finally be completely out of the closet.
