Thirty days before the end of the world, the first zombie appears on the side of a motorway somewhere in north England, hitch-hiking a ride to nowhere. Less than a month later, three quarters of the world's population have been maimed and massacred, and many of them continue to walk the earth as brain-thirsty living dead.

In a world where survival is improbable and hinges on little more than quick wits and pure luck, there are four friends living in a basement in New Jersey, just trying to get through the end of the world. This is their story.
