Colour Me Slytherin -Draco Malfoy Story #11-

You stepped into the light, your eyes shimmered with the light silver makeup you had on. Your heels clicked on the ground as you advanced on Draco, a small smile on your face.

Draco could only stare at you, the green dress with silver detailing looked like it was made just for you. 'Right, gotta say something nice.' he thought, as you came to a stop in front of him. "Well.... you clean up good." he smirked at you.

'What is wrong with you, you idiot?!'

'Smooth move...'

'Geezus, we're doomed.'

You smirked at Draco, "you too..... Oh, I have something for you." you added, gently placing the silver flower in the chest poket of his dress robes.

Draco stared at the flower for a moment, before pulling out a similar flower out from behind his back. He stretched the band slightly, and put it around your wrist.

You grinned, looking at the similar flowers. "Are we ready?"

Lily and Tom nodded at you, before taking the lead out of the common room.

Draco held out his arm for you, and you took it. This was it, the ball everybody was waiting for since you and Malfoy had won the tournament.

You watched as Lily and Tom entered the great hall. Turning your attention to Professor MaGonagall, you took in the details of what was about to happen. One by one, the house champions were going to enter with their dates. You and Draco being the victors were going to enter last.

Draco stood behind Hariet Catwright, not really paying attention to her, and her date. She was obviously trying to make him jealous. 'Geez, just because I had her once doesn't mean she has to get all obssesive...' he thought to himself, watching as she looked over her shoulder at him, as she descended into the great hall.

You saw the way Hariet was staring at Draco, but you tried your best to ignore it. Taking in a deep breath, you gripped Draco's arm, as the two of you began your walk into the great hall. You could hear gasps as your fellow students watched the two of you enter together.

Draco couldn't help but smirk, he noticed almost the whole male population of the school glare at him. He was at the ball, in Slytherin house honour, with the most attractive school in girl.

You held your head high with pride, as you slowed to a stop with Draco, in the middle of the dance floor. You couldn't help but feel like you were glowing. Here you were, with the hottest guy in school, in a fabulous dress that made you feel like royalty, at a ball held in your houses honour. Things couldn't be more perfect.

'They'd be better if Seth wasn't being a b*tch'

'You just have to ruin the moment, don't you...'

'It's pretty well my job.'

You shoved the thoughts to the back of your head. Now was definatly not the time to be thinking about Seth.

"Now, we will let our champions have the first dance." Dumbledore's voice rang through the massive hall, as the music began its slow hum.

Draco snaked his arm around your waist, and grabbed your other hand. He could feel his heart pounding as the two of you got closer together, to share the first dance of champions. 'I wonder if this is what it's going to be like when we get married...' he thought to himself, before mentally slapping himself. There was no need to think like that, the two of you weren't even dating.

You swayed slowly with Draco. It was as if you were walking on air, like nothing mattered anymore, as long as you were with him. 'Is this what it's gonna be like when we get married?' you thought, mentally kicking yourself. 'Now Alice, don't be getting ahead of yourself...'

As the music slowed, signaling the end of the song, other students began to make their way from their seats, and towards the dancefloor.

Lily and Tom both approached you and Draco. Tapping you on the shoulder, "can I have this dance?" Tom asked, as Lily walked over to Draco, asking the same question.

You shot a look at Draco, who stared back at you, as if saying he didn't like the idea, but you could do whatever you wanted. You shrugged, "sure." smiling, you wrapped your arms around Tom's neck, you spun in circles, and every chance you got, you watched Lily and Draco, making sure she wasn't trying to jump him.

Draco felt anxious while he was dancing with Lily. Sure she was an attractive girl, and it surprised him when she snuggled into his chest while they danced. Just, dancing with her, instead of you felt so wrong. He kept a watchful eye on you and Tom, as he twirled you around and around.

The song came to an end, and you pulled away from Tom, eager to get back to your date. You felt another tap on your shoulder, and turned to see Taylor grinning at you. "Oh, you too?" you asked, mocking him and Tom. "I suppose I could dance with you too." you rolled your eyes in fake exhasperation.

Draco found himself tracked down by Becca, he looked towards you, to see Taylor talking to you. 'Alright, I guess I can do this dance too...' he thought to himself grimly, yet again keeping a watchful eye on you.

You laughed as you and Taylor danced to something a little more upbeat than the two previous songs.

Taylor grinned at you, trying to catch his breath at the end of the song. "I better go find Becca." he grinned, disappearing into the crowd.

You looked around, trying to find the platnium blonde hair. As you searched, you felt arms slip around your waist from behind. Grinning to yourself, you didn't turn around, you could already smell Draco's light cologne.

"There you are Drakie!" a voice screeched from behind. "What are you doing with that sl*t. Come dance with me."

You turned, "Oh Pansy, didn't you know, I'm his date for the ball." you hissed, taking in the horrendus sight before you. Pansy's dress was ripped in 'strategic' places, as she tried to show off as much as possible without getting in trouble.

She sneered at you, "at least I wouldn't have had to use magic to get him to ask me.... Isn't that right Drakie?" she turned back to him, leaning towards him, trying to be suductive.

You scoffed, "Pansy, even magic wouldn't make him ask you out. Now why don't you run along. I'm sure there are many toys in your room of the vibrating variety that you could be playing with right now, instead of wasting our time here."

Draco laughed, then shuddered at the mental picture. Pulling you to him, he began dancing with you, spinning you out, and wrapping you back into his arms.

You let yourself get pulled back into Draco's arms, as the song changed from upbeat, to mellow. Glad for a break, you wrapped your arms around his neck, and stared up into his eyes. You could feel butterflies flutter in your stomach, as the slow music seemed to drift off into the background.

Draco gazed into your eyes, not paying any attention to the rest of the crowd around him. Slowly, Draco lowered his lips towards yours. It was almost an automatic response, the mood, lighting... Everything about the situation was perfect.

You let your eyes drift close, and leaned up slowly, feeling yourself melt into his body.

Draco practically cursed as he felt the heat of a spot light on the two of you. He turned his attention to Dumbledore, as he was just starting to make an announcement.

"It's time to start the Kareoke. And as such, the two Slytherin champions should be the first to go." Dumbledore looked over his rimmed glasses at you and Draco.

Grudgingly, you pulled yourself up onto the stage behind Draco. Death glaring Dumbledore for ruining the moment.

Draco flipped through the pages not really finding anything. Giving the book to you, "you pick." he muttered, clearly just as annoyed as you were about the interruption.

You flipped through the pages, almost immediately finding the right song. It described Draco's personality so well. You smirked pointing at the song, watching him nod in agreement, and shrugging.

The both of you grabbed a microphone, and Draco took a step forward as the beat started throughout the hall.

"Nice legs, Daisy Dukes,
Makes a man go (whistles)
That's the way they all come through like (whistles)
Low-cut, see-through shirts that make ya (whistles)
That's the way she come through like (whistles)" he half sang, half talked.

You took a step forward, not overdoing yourself, you chimed in right on cue. " Cause I just set them up
Just set them up
Just set them up to knock them down
just set them up
Just set them up
Just set them up to knock them down"

You both smirked out into the crowd before joining forces in the song, singing out at the same time, "I think I should know how to make love to something innocent without leaving my fingerprints oh
Now, L-o-v-e is just another word I never learned to pronounce
How do I say I'm sorry cause the word is just never gonna come out
Now, L-o-v-e is just another word I never learned to pronounce."

Draco was starting to enjoy himself, "Tight jeans, double d's makin ' me go (whistles)
All the people on the street know (whistles)
Iced out, lit-up make the kids go (whistles)
All the people on the street know (whistles"

Taking another step forward, you couldn't help but smile, taking on the pre chorus again. "Cause I just set them up
Just set them up
Just set them up to knock them down
just set them up
Just set them up
Just set them up to knock them down."

Draco and yourself starting to circle each other for the chorus "I think I should know how to make love to something innocent without leaving my fingerprints oh
Now, L-o-v-e is just another word I never learned to pronounce
How do I say I'm sorry cause the word is just never gonna come out
Now, L-o-v-e is just another word I never learned to pronounce."

You took a bold step forward as you began your piece, "You know that type of sh*t just don`t work on me [whistles]
Whistling, and trying to flirt with me (whistles)

Don`t take it personally [whistles]
Cause we were never in love [whistles whistles]

It doesn`t really matter, who you say you are [whistles]
Sing it out the windows, of your car [whistles]
Find another girl across the bar [whistles]
Cause L-O-V-E`s not what this was [whistles whistles)"

"I think I should know, how, to make love to something innocent without leaving my fingerprints out, now
L-O-V-E is just another word I never learned to pronounce
How, do I say I'm sorry cause the word is never gonna come out, now
L-O-V-E is just another word I never learned to pronounce." (Song - Starstrukk by 3oh3 ft. Katy Perry) Both you and Draco belted out the lyrics, taking a bold stance at the edge of the stage when you finished the song.

The hall was silent for a moment, as everybody began to cheer.

Following Draco off the stage, you watched bemused as others got up to sing too.

Taking a seat across from Draco at a small table, you fiddled with the napkin, trying to avoid eye contact. What if that whole thing on the dance floor had been a complete misunderstanding?

"Alice..." Draco began, tilting your chin up a little so he could look you in the eyes.
