Lust for Life

Terrible Things

We met at Hagrid’s house on the night and walked around the forest together.

“Now, I remember-- I remember when I first met you all. Mei you came into the picture a bit later but fit perfectly in. Biggest bunch of misfits I ever set eyes on. Suppose you remind me of meself a little. And here we all are, four years later.” Hagrid smiled,
“3 for me though,” I cheered, walking with Ron and Hermione,
“We’re still a bunch of misfits.” Ron joked,
“Well, maybe, but we’ve all got each other. And Harry, of course. Soon to be the youngest Triwizard champion there’s ever been! Hooray!” Hagrid cheered.

Hogwarts, Hogwarts Hoggy Warty Hogwarts. Teach us something, please.” we all sang until I felt a deathly presence in the air.

I ran over to Harry and we both saw Crouch on the floor.

Dead.

* * *

I waited in the common room for Harry.

The door opened and he walked inside.

“Nice walk?” I asked,
“The Minister for Magic was there when I arrived at Dumbledore’s office,” Harry spoke,
“Really?” I asked, Harry nodded,
“I… I also found out something…” Harry spoke,
“What?” I asked as Harry sat next to me,
“The man I’ve been seeing in my dreams, was Mr. Crouch’s son,” Harry spoke,
“Really?” I shuffled in the chair as Harry nodded once again.

I looked back at the fire.

“Well… for now, just forget about these dreams, you’ve got the next task coming up soon,” I smiled, Harry nodded, my right eyebrow raised, “Can you only nod tonight? Has the cat got your tongue?” I smirked Harry smiled,
“No.” he shook his head with a smile.

“You seem troubled.” I spoke,
“Wouldn’t you be if you had to fight a dragon, and then go in the Black Lake?” Harry asked, I shrugged,
“Never been in that situation so I can’t say. But I would be on the ball all the time. Then again I am anyway.” I explained, “Plus, if I was in your situation I would have many advantages because of my vampire abilities remember?” I spoke,
“True.” Harry nodded.

I opened my book to find my current page. The room was silent for a good while.

“How long have you been singing?” Harry asked, I looked at him,
“Not long really… why?” I asked,
“You have a good voice, and I think you could be a singer when you get older.” Harry spoke, I laughed,
“I don’t have the confidence to live in that sort of world… it’s a cut throat industry music is. I would rather live a peaceful life, working at the ministry trying to encourage vampires and wizards to work together.” I explained, Harry smiled as I sighed, “Vampires aren’t all bad… plus if both of our kinds started working together then we could learn from each other and help each other grow.” I added, “Though the line would be struck where the vampires would drink human blood…” I sighed, “Which more or less every single vampire would hate that… just like my family…” I frowned and taken a deep breath.

Harry looked confused,
“What is wrong with your family?” Harry asked,
“Well, my mother’s side, her parents are dead but her sister is alive. I’ve met her once because my mother’s sister hates her because of the fact she is a witch and my auntie is not. My mother like I told you once before, is a Muggle-born witch.” I explained closing my book and putting in on the table so I could face Harry.

“My father on the other hand, as we know, is a vampire. My great, great, great, grandparents are still looking about forty-five. My fathers family have more or less disowned him because he married my mother and created me. ‘A curse and a horrible monster that shouldn’t be on this planet.’ That’s what they call me at least, sometimes I agree with them.” I bowed my head down a little.

“I don’t think you’re a curse, or horrible… you’re definitely not horrible.” Harry spoke, “I’ve told you before last year, you’re an amazing person, because of who you are.” Harry added, I smiled and closed my eyes.

“Thank you, again.” I spoke.
