Lust for Life

Transfiguration

Both Harry and myself were walking around trying to find Cedric, though my sense of smell helped as I followed it to the green in the centre of the castle.

“You cheat, Potter.” One person spoke,
“You stink, Potter.” Another person called.

Everybody was wearing ridiculously insulting badges laughing at Harry as we passed. We both tried to get through a small opening but three idiots stood in our way.

“Excuse me.” Harry spoke politely, they stood there laughing, I glared at them and hissed, they jumped back immediately as we walked passed.

We found Cedric on the bench with his mates messing around,
“Hey! Read the badge, Potter!” one of his mates said.

“Can I have a word?” Harry asked,
“All right.” Cedric nodded and followed us to the side.

“Dragons. That’s the first task. They’ve got one for each of us.” Harry explained Cedric looked worried.

“Come on, Ced!” One of Cedric’s friends called.

“Are you serious?” Cedric asked, Harry nodded, “And Fleur and Krum, do they--?” Cedric asked,
“Yes.” Harry answered.

“Come on, Ced, leav him.” Another of Cedric’s friends called. I looked back at them and glared sharply.

Everybody froze whenever I glared towards them. They all had the right idea of shutting up if they annoyed me.

“Right.” Cedric spoke, Harry and myself went to leave but Cedric quickly stopped Harry, “Hey, listen. About the badges. I’ve asked them not to wear them, but--” Cedric started,
“Don’t worry about it.” Harry spoke as we continued onwards.

I cringed when I saw Ron up ahead with Seamus, Harry was quick to notice also as he stormed up to him.

“You’re a right foul git, you know that?” Harry snapped, mentally I slapped my forehead, I had been trying to get these two to make up for the last few weeks, Hermione’s been trying to help also,
“You think so?” Ron asked,
“I know so.” Harry spoke,
“Anything else?” Ron asked,
“Yeah. Stay away from me.” Harry snapped,
“Fine.” Ron stormed passed with Seamus.

Harry looked at my frown,
“What?” Harry asked, I shook my head as I heard someone who was going to send Harry off to Angry-Land.

“Why so tense, Potter?” Draco called, Harry went to walk past but Draco’s bait was hanging easily,
“My father and I have a bet, you see. I don’t think you’re gonna last 10 minutes in this tournament.” Draco called, Harry stopped, I sighed as Draco taunted him more,
“He disagrees. He thinks you won’t last five.” Draco laughed with his friends.

Harry stormed over to Draco,
“I don’t give a damn what your father thinks, Malfoy.” Harry walked forward and pushed Draco, I ran to Harry’s side and grabbed his arm, “He’s vile and cruel. And you’re just pathetic.” Harry spoke as he turned and left with me.

“Pathetic?” Draco snapped.

“Oh, no, you don’t sonny!” Moody came out of nowhere. Suddenly Draco was a ferret!

“I’ll teach you to curse someone when their back is turned!” Moody stormed over and lifted Draco in the air up and down. “You stinking, cowardly, scummy…” Moody spoke. Harry and myself were laughing at Draco’s misfortune.

“Professor Moody!” McGonagall ran over,
“…back-shooting--” Moody continued,
“What are you doing?” McGonagall asked,
“Teaching.” Moody replied.

“Is that a--? Is that a student?” McGonagall asked,
“Technically, it’s a ferret.” Moody spoke as he put Draco down Crabbe’s pants, burst out laughing as Crabbe cried out. Moody looked back at us both and winked, when Draco reappeared McGonagall put him right again, Draco stood up and turned around quickly.

“My father will hear about this!” Draco snapped,
“Is that a threat?” Moody snapped,
“Professor Moody!” McGonagall snapped,
“Is that a threat?” Moody yelled, as he chased Draco around the tree,
“Professor.” McGonagall called,
“I could tell you stories about your father that would curl even your greasy hair!” Moody yelled,
“Alastor!” McGonagall spoke,
“It doesn’t end here!” Moody yelled.

“Alastor.” McGonagall spoke, “We never use transfiguration as a punishement! Surely Dumbledore told you that.” McGonagall spoke,
“He might’ve mentioned it.” Moody spoke,
“Well, you will do well to remember it.” McGonagall snapped, and walked off.

Moody pulled a face at her behind her back and then walked passed us.

“Harry. Come with me.” Moody spoke, Harry looked at me,
“I’ll be fine, just go.” I smiled Harry nodded and followed Moody.

Moody gave me an odd look as Harry walked away with him.
