Battle A Dragon

I walked with Hermione to the champion’s tent to see Harry before the tasks began.

“Psst!” Hermione whispered, I nodded at her confirming it was Harry as I could sense his presence behind the fabric. “Harry…” I spoke,
“Yeah.” Harry replied,
“How are you feeling? Okay?” Hermione asked, “The key is to concentrate. After that, you just have to--” Hermione spoke,
“Battle a dragon.” Harry spoke.

Hermione jumped and hugged Harry strongly as a quick flash happened.

Rita Skeeter stood there with her cameraman.

“Young love.” She smirked and walked in, “How… stirring.” Rita smirked as her flying pen noted. “If everything goes unfortunately today you two may even make the front page.” Rita smirked,
“You have no business here. This tend if for champions and friends.” Krum spoke,
“No matter. We’ve got what we wanted.” Rita smirked as her camera man taken another picture.

I stood by Harry and taken his hand as he smiled at me, another flash appeared and Rita looked between Harry, Hermione and myself as she walked out.

“Good day, champions. Gather round, please.” Dumbledore walked in with others, I stood next to Harry as Hermione stood next to me, “Now, you’ve waited, you’ve wondered, and at last the moment has arrived. A moment only four of you can fully appreciate.” Dumbledore looked at both Hermione and me, “What are you two doing here?” Dumbledore asked half shocked,
“Sorry, we’ll just go,” Hermione apologized as she pulled me out, I let Harry’s hand go at the last minute as we walked out the tent.

“Three of our champions have now faced their dragons and so each one of them will proceed to the next task. And now our fourth and final contestant.” Dumbledore called.

Everybody was cheering for Harry as we saw him appear.

We all fell silent, we could see the Dragon, though Harry could not.

As Harry moved the dragon swung its tail down. We all flinched in horror as Harry moved quickly out of the way. Another swing, Harry fell down. The dragon blew fire towards Harry who quickly moved out of harms reach.

The dragon flew in the air and smacked its tail down, Harry rolled out of the way he got pushed back as the dragon roared.

Once again the dragon blew fire.

“Your wand, Harry! Your wand!” Hermione yelled. We saw Harry move after casting a spell to behind a rock, I heard something fast and small heading our way.

Harry’s broom flew over us, in one swift movement Harry jumped on his broom and flew off. We cheered for him as he flew around and then out of the arena just missing the egg.

“Mei…” Hermione looked at me.

I closed my eyes and followed Harry’s presence. Hermione and Ron were looking at me closely.

I could hear Harry’s scream.

“He’s been knocked off his broom, but he’s holding on.” I spoke with my eyes closed, trying to find him again as he fell, “He’s back on his broom, and the dragon is following,” I spoke, a few people were listening to me.

We heard a loud roar, I could hear Harry’s scream.

“They’ve both fallen…” I spoke, Hermione looked at me in horror, “Wait… he’s… still alive,” I spoke, just then Harry popped up over the hill still flying.

Harry came back and grabbed the egg.

We all cheered as Harry lifted the egg up into the air.

“Yes, Harry!” Fred called as the twins lifted him up,
“Knew you wouldn’t die. Lose a leg.” George spoke,
“Or an arm.” Fred spoke,
“Pack it in altogether?” George asked,
“Never!” They both cheered as the egg got passed around.

Seamus kissed the egg as I handed it to him.

“Shush!” Seamus yelled and held the egg up to Harry, “Go on, Harry. What’s the clue?” Seamus asked,
“Who wants me to open it?” Harry asked,
“Yes!” we all yelled,
“Do you want me to open it?” Harry asked with a smile,
“Yes!” we all cheered louder then before.

Harry grabbed the top of the egg and turned it, a loud scream filled our ears. My head was pounding as I fell on my knees. Harry closed it quickly as I looked up at him, Harry looked at me in shock.

“What the bloody hell was that?” Ron spoke, we all looked back at him as Harry helped me up.

“All right, everyone! Go back to your knitting. This is gonna be uncomfortable enough without all you nosy sods listening in.” George spoke, I smiled at Harry as I went and sat next to Hermione.

We watched the boys talk.

“I reckon you have to be barking mad to put your own name in the Goblet of Fire.” Ron spoke,
“Caught on, have you? Took you long enough.” Harry spoke,
“I wasn’t the only one who thought you’d done it. Everyone was saying it behind your back.” Ron explained,
“Brilliant. That makes me feel loads better.” Harry spoke.
“Least I warned you about the dragons.” Ron spoke,
“Hagrid warned me about the dragons.” Harry said,
“No, no, no, I did. No, don’t you remember? I told Hermione to tell you that Seamus told me that Parvati told Dean that Hagrid was looking for you. Seamus never actually told me anything, so it was really me all along. I thought we’d be all right, you know after you’d figured that out.” Ron spoke,
“Who--? Who could possible figure that out? That’s completely mental.” Harry shook his head,
“Yeah. Isn’t it? I suppose I was a bit distraught.” Ron spoke.

“Boys.” Hermione shook her head and looked at me. I nodded in agreement.
