The Kids from Yesterday
"So...let us begin, shall we?" smirked Gerard.
Paul looked very uneasy and I held his hand as I looked back and forth between my brothers.
"How old are you?" asked Mikey.
"21..."
"When you'd get your license?" questioned Gerard.
"16..."
"You have a job?"asked Mikey.
"Part time job at Starbucks in New York..."
"OHHHH Starbucks?!" exclaimed Mikey.
"Do you give sales?" questioned Gerard.
"Sometimes..." Paul looked confused.
"What you do with the rest of your time?" asked Mikey.
"I spend it with Kate..."
"Where you originally from?" questioned Gerard.
"Cali..."
"Have you two done it yet?" asked Mikey.
"MIKEY!!!" I yelled.
"What its a simple question..." laughed Mikey.
"Uh...yes..."
"Protection?" questioned Gerard.
"Yes...."
"Oh thank god!" exclaimed Mikey
I shook my head and looked down.
"Well give us a few minutes...we need to discuss..." smirked Gerard.
Paul looked at me nervous. All I could do was shrug. A couple minutes passed and they looked at us.
"Okay we have a verdict..." stated Mikey
"We like you Paul..." smiled Gerard
"And you better treat our sister good..." added Mikey
"Or else you will hear about it..." said Gerard
"And you wont get a good tip at work..." Mikey confirmed.
"COFFEE!!!" screamed Gerard
I shook my head and stood up.
"Is this lil pow wow of yours finished?"
They both nodded and shook Paul's hand.
"Welcome to the family..." smiled Mikey
Paul nodded. He looked like he didn't know what to say. Actually he looked more like he was going to vomit. I rubbed his back and took him back inside to sit down on the couch in the recording room. Frank was recording his part to one of the songs labeled, "Siren Song". Ray was behind the sound board nodding his head to the beat. I grabbed a water bottle for Paul and sat to watch them play. Mikey walked back in and smiled at Paul. He went over to Ray and said something low to him. Paul ended up laying down and falling asleep. He looked so precious as he slept. I smiled and kissed his cheek. I got up and grabbed a blanket and put it over him and me as I laid down to fall asleep in his arms.
