Lust for Knowledge

Harry pulled out the Felix Felicis and quickly drank it.

“Well, how do you feel?” Hermione asked,
“Excellent. Really excellent.” Harry stood up we stood with him.

“Remember Slughorn usually eats early takes a walk and then returns to his office.” Hermione explained,
“I’m going down to Hagrid’s.” Harry spoke,
“What?” I asked confused,
“No, Harry, you’ve got to go and speak to Slughorn.” Hermione spoke as we followed him walk to the portrait, “We have a plan.” She added,
“I know but I’ve got a good feeling about Hagrid’s. I feel it’s the place to be tonight. Do you know what I mean?” Harry explained,
“No.” We all spoke,
“Well, trust me, I know what I’m doing. Or Felix does.” Harry went to leave but stopped then came back to me and kissed me passionately for a second then left, the portrait opened, “Hi!” Harry beamed at the people who walked in, I was still in shock from the kiss as I looked at Ron and Hermione,
“I think we should trust him and let him go along with it.” I spoke as I watched the portrait close, Hermione and Ron thought I was a bit of an idiot, “Oh, forget it. You’ll see.” I spoke and sat down on the sofa and pulled out my divination book.



Harry came back to the common room and told me what happened and what he saw in the memory,
“A Horcrux?” I spoke as Harry nodded, “So, the ring was one, and the book that you destroyed on the year we met was two. You said Dumbledore said he might have found another.” I spoke Harry nodded again,
“He wants me to meet him tomorrow night at the astronomy tower.” Harry explained I looked at him with my face full of worry.

I leaned back and sighed,
“Please… be careful when you go with him.” I looked at Harry, “Promise me, you’ll come back.” I taken his hand, Harry nodded as I smiled,
“I’ll be fine. It’s Dumbledore we’re talking about.” Harry spoke; I smiled and nodded as Harry pulled me close to him.

I had my head resting on Harry’s shoulder as I stared at the fire, I felt Harry’s head resting on mine as his arm wrapped around me. I soon felt very soft breathing pattern from Harry. I glanced up and saw Harry was asleep.



I heard a loud thunder outside, above I saw the Dark Mark. I ran out the common room quickly.

McGonagall and myself were the first to see.

Dumbledore’s body was on the floor. Tears appeared in my eyes as McGonagall put her arm around me.

More people arrived at the scene.

So did Harry.

He knelt down by Dumbledore as I crouched behind him and hugged him, Harry wrapped his arms around me as I rested my head on his.

Everybody slowly lifted their wands in the air blocking out the Dark Mark in the sky.
