Endless Love

It seemed like it took forever for us to get to Bella's house.

I think all of the nerves and excitement flowing through me is making the time pass slower.

I bounced my foot up and down and the guys started to laugh.

"Don't laugh at me!" I retorted.

That only made them laugh louder.

"You guys are jerks." I muttered.

A couple more minutes passed and we finally pulled up to a house.

"Is this it?" I asked.

Jacob nodded and I saw him swallow.

I grinned and jumped over the guys, trying to get out of the car.

The second my foot hit the ground, my face smashed up against a hard, hot chest.

I looked up and Jake was staring down at me.

"What the hell Jacob." I said.

I turned my head and I saw Embry and Quil both behind me.

"What the hell are you all doing?" I asked.

I looked between all of them and their eyes were narrowed, bodies stiff.

I turned around when I heard a door open and Jacob stiffened even more.

I saw a pale, brown haired girl walk out, a huge smile on her face.

She was really short and petite, I could only imagine how she looked standing next toacob's giant body.

It actually made me laugh.

Bella waved over at us, a huge smile on her face.

I started to smile too when I heard a low growl behind me.

I looked up and saw Jake's face turned down in the sneer.

I looked in the direction of where he was sneering and saw a tall, pale guy with his arms around Bella's waist.

She was leaning into him, her head resting on his chest.

So that is Bella's boyfriend.

The vampire.

He doesn't look scary at all.

But the growl rumbling in Jake's chest told me a different story.

He doesn't trust him.

"Jake." I said softly.

He looked down at me, his eyes hard.

And behind that, I could see the pain.

The pain of seeing the woman he loves, with another man.

And seeing that pain, made me think of how I would react if Paul were to be with anyone else but me.

And I felt Jacob's pain.

I squeezed his forearm and he looked down at me.

"Calm down. He's not gonna let you anywhere near her if you don't calm down." I told him.

His eyes seemed to darken a little and then he looked at Bella.

He seemed to calm down a lot and I smiled.

I grabbed his hand and started to pull him.

"Come on. Introduce me to your best friend." I grinned.

A smile went across his face when he looked at her and he nodded down at me.

"Alright let's do this." He said.

An excitement flowed through me as we started to walk closer to her.

He boyfriend was smiling as he looked at us but Bella's eyes were flickering from each of my shoulders.

I turned slightly and saw Embry and Quil right behind me, almost like they were guarding me.

I shook my head and tried not to laugh.

They were taking this 'protect Eliza' thing a little far.

We were close to the porch and I went forward to step up the stairs but a hand came down on my shoulder.

I looked at Embry and narrowed my eyes.

He moved his hand and I stepped up, outstretching my hand.

"Hi. I'm Eliza, Sam's cousin. You must be Bella." I smiled.

She grinned widely too and shook my hand.

"Hi Eliza. This is my boyfriend, Edward." She grinned.

I turned to Edward and stuck my hand out.

Before I even had a chance to shake his hand, I was snatched back.

The next thing I knew I was standing behind Embry and Quil, Jacob in front of them.

I peaked in front of them and saw Edward in the same stance, with Bella behind him.

Jacob was growling at Edward, who other than being in a protective stance, looked completely under control.

"Maybe this wasn't such a good idea." He said.

Jacob let out another growl.

I jumped from behind the guys and got in between Edward and Jacob.

I had to stand on the third step so that I could be in his face and come in eye contact with him.

"What in the hell are you doing, Jacob Black?" I asked him angrily.

I could hear Edward's shallow breathing behind me and more accelerated breathing.

Jacob didn't answer me.

"We didn't come here to fight. So you need to pull yourself together, or you can turn around and go back home, and I'll hang out with Bella." I said.

"He tried to touch you." Jacob hissed.

"He was going to shake my hand. Thats the polite thing to do. Now I'm not gonna tell you again. Calm the hell down." I said firmly.

Embry and Quil's eyebrows were both raised in surprise.

Probably because they weren't used to people talking to them like this.

Especially a girl.

But I'm not afraid to stand up to them.

Or tell them how it is.

I turned back around and smiled widely.

"I'm so sorry about that guys. They sometimes forget their manners." I said, stepping up one more step and sticking my hand out again.

"It's nice to meet you Edward." I said, shaking his hand.

A smile went across his face and he nodded politely.

"It's a pleasure to meet you as well, Eliza." He said, his voice soft.

He looked behind me quickly, probably looking over the guys.

I turned too and they were still standing stiffly at the bottom of the stairs.

"Oh you don't have to worry about them. They're gonna behave now. Aren't you boys?" I asked them.

They all nodded and I turned back to Edward and Bella.

She grinned and moved from behind Edward.

"We're gonna get along great." She grinned.

I smiled too and went in for a hug.

"I've always wanted a girlfriend." I said happily.

She smiled too and we instantly threw our arms around each other.

"Me too." She squealed.

I could hear the guys laughing behind me but I ignored them.

Me and Bella are going to be great friends.

I can tell.
