A Pirate's Life for Her

Prologue

Hector Barbossa, stumbled through the doors of the Faithful Bride and as soon as he entered the pub, a drunk sailor vomited on his shoes. “Ya bastarrd” groaned Hector and took out his pistol. With one shot, the man was dead on his face.
He smiled to himself, oh how he missed this place. All the beer, whiskey, wine, fighting, drunk women…
He threw himself through the crowded drunk pirates, towards the bar. “Fetch me some beer mate will ya” he shouted.
“Hector! Haven’t seen ya ‘ere for a while, eh, where’ve ya been?” asked a man. He turned to look at him on his left. Ah… from Sparrow’s ship, what was his name …
“Got rid of Sparrow, fought a few sea battles and here i am. Mİssed the smell of Tortuga; pig, women, beer !” said Barbossa and the man roared with laughter.
Barbossa sighed and looked around the place. “Ya comin’ back to the Pearl tonight with meh?” he asked, looking at the man he was talking to.
“Hector… gotta be honest mate, i’m not sailin’ with ya, Jack was the cap’n and i don’t know any other.”
Barbossa’s hand went to his pistol in anger. “You were the first to join the mutiny, remember John?” . Suddenly he had remembered his name.
“Well yes, Hector, but im afraid this is it, Jack is the only cap’n of The Pearl.” Mumbled John and spit in his own beer.
This place needed some action, and John needed a new face to live with. Barbossa hit him in the face hard and they both fell on the floor, fighting.
After “giving him a new face”, Barbossa kicked his motionless body under a table and sighed.
HE was the captain of the pearl. Jack was useless. The Pearl deserved him as a captain. John should’ve obeyed. That drunk pig…
“Hey mate, yah seen those women over there, i’ll buy one form y ship, have fun with ‘er and then throw her to da sharks , eh ? “ shouted a bearded man to Barbossa.
“Women on deck is bad luck.” He shouted back.
The truth was that, Barbossa never liked treating women badly. He didn’t show, but he was in favour of being nice to them. Also, women meant bad luck on deck.
Anyway he couldn’t help but looking where the man pointed at. Ten or more women were standing in a line, they were dressed nicely but they looked messy and tired.
One of them, captured Barbossa’s attention at the very moment. She had dirty reddish blond hair flowing down to her back, pale blue eyes with long lashes and a skinny body with large breasts. Her expression was sure of herself and brave. Still, Barbossa could tell she was tired and scared.
Her dress was long, scarlet and ripped. The man, selling them pushed her forward and slapped her in the back. Barbossa rised immediently, and walked towards the women.
“Ya like ‘herr?” asked the man and played with the girl’s hair.
“I’m buying her.” Heard Barbossa himself saying. What was he doing ?
“NO! I’M NOT SOME… SOME.. YOU CAN’T JUST SELL ME !” yelled the woman and swung her legs , in attempt to kick someone.
Barbossa grabbed one of her legs, pulled her to himself and burried his face in her hair, then whispered slowly ; “I’m not going to hurt you. Just stop screaming, will ya?”
Suddenly she stopped. “Fine, how much?” said Barbossa and moved away from her.
“10 pounds.”
Barbossa threw some Money in a bag to the man.
He grabbed the girl’s hand and walked away from the crowd and mess. They sat down at a table in the back.
“No thank you?” asked Barbossa silently.
“Thank you…” murmured the girl.
“You’re name?”
“Linette.”
Linette… Beautiful name, though Barbossa. “I’m Captain Barbossa, Hector Barbossa.” He said.
Linette looked up at him with her beautiful pale eyes and smiled, “You’re a captain? A pirate, am i right?” she asked.
“Yes, i am a pirate.”
Linette yawned and put her head on the table. “That must be great, sailing the seas, having those adventures…
Hector… I really need some place to sleep. I really do, i can’t think straight anymore, i think i might be a little drunk…” she moaned.
She looked so desperate, so tired and so fragile that Barbossa couldn’t help but wanting to help her. “Alright, Linette, let’s go.” He said and took her by the hand.

“I know a room here in the Faithfull Bride, it’s upstairs. It’ll be a place for you to sleep for one night.” He said as they walked upstairs, pushing drunk, fighting men aside.
They entered the messy dark room; there was a bed and a lot of empty bottles on the floor. Barbossa closed the door behind them. Linette lay down as soon as they got in.
“I will lock the door so no one will get in, but in the mornin’ ya’re going to leave from the window and get away from this island, promise? “said Barbossa.
“Yes, promise, thank you Hector.” She murmured.
Hector locked the door and moved towards the window. It was time for him to leave now, back to the Pearl.
“Before you go…” he heard Linette say behind his back.
Barbossa turned to look at her. “Don’t forget me, will you? Thank you, truly.” She whispered.
Barbossa couldn’t help himself any longer and kissed her lips, passion bursting from his mouth.
They kissed; Barbossa ran his hands over her body slowly. He was so afraid of hurting this fragile beauty. The way Linette touched him and the way their bodies were moving together, just was enough to make him think, maybe he could stay here a bit more, The Pearl could wait.
