They Say True Love Would Never Leave...

I lay in my bed, tossing and turning. I couldn’t sleep. What had Gerard apologized for? It was really frustrating. I heard a light knock on my door and I sat up abruptly. The door cracked open a bit.

“Allie?” whispered the voice of Mikey. “You awake?”

“Yeah,” I whispered back. I heard footsteps and then heard my door close. I heard more footsteps and then felt my bed sink a little as Mikey climbed in next to me. I laid back down.

“You ok?” he whispered.

“Yeah,” I said. “Just having trouble sleeping.”

“Don’t lie to me,” said Mikey.

“I’m not,” I said. Ok, I kind of was. “I was only thinking. Anyways, why aren’t you sleeping?”

“I’m not that tired,” he said. “I slept most of the way here.”

I laughed quietly.

“So, what were you thinking about?” he asked.

“Nothing important,” I said. “Don’t worry about it, ok?”

“Ok,” he said. We lay there together for a little while in silence before I finally fell asleep.
