Draco Malfoy Said He Loved Me...

I woke up the next morning with a slight headache, and reached out to my bedside table for a glass of water. After I was halfway through the water, my headache stopped, and I groaned and got out of bed. I thought about what to do to make things ok. I didn’t deserve Danni. She was so good to me. I had to call her and tell her I was sorry for snapping at her. No, I have to do this in person. I though, and hopped into the shower before putting on a tight shirt that ended just above my belly button, and a pair of black jeans.
“Father, I’m going to see Danni” I said as I had a quick breakfast
“Oh. I thought she wished to no longer see you?
“Turns out it was a misunderstanding. It’s a long story. I’ll see you later”
“Kelly? Was Draco lying about Daniela’s detention?”
“No. I told you father, it’s a long story” I said impatiently, and apparated outside Danni’s house. I took a deep breath, and knocked on the door
“Oh. It’s you dear” Danni’s mother Kayla said.
“Do I look that bad?” I joked as if she felt sorry for me because I looked like a mess
“It wasn’t my decision for her to stop seeing you. It was her father’s. The father did all of the decisions, Blaise and Draco as well” she said, smiling at me and guiding me inside “She’s in her room. She seems upset, so be aware, she may explode” she said, and I nodded before quietly going upstairs. I didn’t knock on the door, I knew she didn’t want to see me, so I just walked in and started talking. If I could say everything before she got a chance to tell me to get out, it might be alright
“Danni, look I’m sorry for snapping at you last night ok? I feel so bad about Dr-” I started, but stopped when I saw she had company. It was Blaise and Draco “Uh… sorry” I said, and turned to leave, but Draco spoke
“Stay” he said, and I turned back round
“Come on Kelly, it’s the least you can do after…” Blaise started, but Danni glared at him.
“Ok” I said, and sat down gingerly next to Danni “So” I said after a while
“Look, we were both insensitive towards each other ok? And I’m sorry and I know you are too. I should have never told you about Draco. He should have got the chance to tell you himself”
“Well, I’m not sure he would have got a chance to anyways” I said
“I didn’t want to get in between you two” Draco said
“And it’s up to me if you do” I stated
“What do you mean?” Danni asked me. I looked down then sighed
“I think Blade is going to ask me to marry him on new years at your party” I said in a small voice, and Draco turned paper white, whilst Danni’s mouth hung open
“What… what are you going to say?” she asked
“I told him that I was really tired and that I needed to think about it” I said, avoiding looking at Draco
“Ok, let’s get some basics here. You think that he’s the one, and if so, go for him. Draco we can’t go round saying everything in private ok? You have to face up to it” Danni said, taking control.
“I don’t know…” I said, looking down
“Look, man, I don’t mean to disrespect you” Blaise said to Draco “But Kelly, if you really like him, then say yes” he finished, trying to avoid Draco’s eyes like everyone was. I could feel that he was looking at me, like he was lazering my head, but I ignored it.
“I need to talk to Danii alone” I said
“Sure, we’ll be in the next room” Blaise said, and walked outside, literally carrying Draco who had now lost the ability to walk. When they had gone, Danni started whispering to me, though it was no use, because we all knew that Blaise and Draco were listening
“See, I told you he’s crazy about you!”
“Look, Danni. Perhaps, me and Draco could have gotten together, if he didn’t rip out my heart by telling my father in front of me that he and you two never wanted to see me again. It hurt too much Danni. I can’t. I didn’t get together with Blade to hurt Draco. I’m not that low. I just can’t be with him. Please understand.” I said, tears leaking down my eyes, and Danni sighed
“Ok. I understand. It’s a girl thing” she said, smiling at me. I nodded, and then hugged her, both of us spluttering with laughter.
“Ugh, you two ok?” Blaise asked, looking at us as if we passed a happy slapping test
“Yeah. It’s a girl thing” I said, grinning at Danni
“Right. Well uh, me and Draco are gonna go now” he said, and my grin faded. He was leaving without saying goodbye to me. I suppose after what I did to him, it was a miracle he didn’t jump of a bridge. I nodded, then turned back to Danni
“Uh, Bye Danni, Bye Kelly” someone said, and I turned round to see Draco, and realised his skin had gone back to its normal ghostly colour. I got up, strode over towards him and hugged him
“Bye” I said, and we both knew that we were not simply saying goodbye. We were saying goodbye to our chance to be together, because I was going to give Blade my decision today. Draco hugged me hard
“I’ll kill Blade if he doesn’t treat you right” He said, finally pulling away and grinning at me
“You always take care of me don’t you?” I said, both of us thinking about the Hogwarts end of term Christmas party where that guy spiked my drink and Draco beat him up
“I’ll wait for you. Always.” he whispered into my ear after hugging me one last time, then apparated back to his house. Tears leaked down my eyes, and I stared at the spot Draco had been.
“Bye Kelly” Blaise said again, before apparating to his house. I turned round to face Danni
“Kelly? What did he say?” Danni asked as I prepared to apparate
“I think he loves me” I said, tears falling down my eyes before I apparated to my house
“What’s wrong Mistress? Is Danni not nice to mistress?” Spoink, my house elf asked me
“No, it’s Draco Spoink”
“Spoink is very angry with master Draco for making you upset”
“It’s… complicated. It’s not even his fault”
“Spoink is sorry for being mean to master Draco. Spoink will punish herself” she said, and started hitting her head with a frying pan
“Spoink, really, you don’t have to do that” I said, taking the dented frying pan and tossing it in the bin
“Spoink ruined mistress’s frying pan”
“It’s fine” I said sighing
“Spoink will make chocolate chip brownies to make mistress feel better” she said, conjuring up a batch of brownies
“Thanks” I said, munching through the brownies happily
“You are too nice to it” my father said, walking into the kitchen
“She has a name” I said, offering my father a brownie. He refused. Duh!
“What are you going to say to Zambian?”
“Oh, Blade? I don’t know” I said. I had been trying to push thoughts of him out of my head
“Well, are you not to go and see him, or he to pick you up in 15 minutes?” my father asked, looking through a batch of papers
“WHAT?” I yelled, looking at my watch, and then rushed upstairs to pick get changed. I hadn’t even decided what the hell I was going to wear, or more importantly, what I was going to say.
I got ready in super speed, and was applying a dab of lip-gloss to finish it off when the doorbell rang “I’ll get it!” I yelled, and rushed downstairs, then opened the door. “Hi” I said as Blade looked at me smiling
“Hi, you look beautiful ready to go?” he asked me kissing me as I hooked my hand into his
“Uh. My friend Danni… well, she’s having a party, and I thought maybe we could go to that?” I asked. He nodded, and then we apparated to Danni’s house. She welcomed us in, and I smiled at her, hugged her and then walked in with Blade. After we danced, and it was 9pm, I pulled Blade to a corner “Blade, if you’re… gonna ask me an important question, I want it to be before we countdown” I said, smiling at him. He looked confused, but nodded. I told him I had to and speak to Danni, and ran over to her. Blaise and Draco were with her, but this was no time for privacy “I think he’s gonna do it” I said, and she nodded.
“When?” she asked
“I asked him to do it before we countdown to the New Year” I said, and she looked at me confused, and then nodded
“Do you know what you’re gonna say?” I took a deep breath, smiled then nodded. Draco avoided my eyes, and I thought I saw the sparkle of a tear form in his eye. I said goodbye before going to dance with Blade
