We walked out onto the field the next day, and Blaise laid out on the grass, his hands behind his head, with Danni feeding him pieces of food at random times, whilst I laughed, throwing sweets at him, and him trying to catch them in his mouth after he’d sat up like a dog. Danni joined in the laughter, and as I threw him another sweet, Jason came over to me
“Oh boy” I muttered, laughing and throwing Blaise another tiny sweet that went up his nose. He blew it out again, and me and Danni went ew.
“Hi” Jason said, sitting down next to me
“Hey” I said, throwing Blaise another sweet
“Uh, what happened between you and Liam?”
“We broke up.” I said simply
“Yeah but why?”
“What, are you some kind of press? We had our reasons alright?!” I said, snapping at him, and he looked helplessly at Danni
“They… had a rough time” she said, looking down
“Oh. Ok… Listen. I know you… are upset and all-” he started, but I cut in
“I’m not upset. Who said I was upset. I didn’t say I was upset” I said in super speed. He looked taken aback
“Right. So… I heard Draco and Lisa broke up huh?” he said, trying to get past the awkward silence. I snorted. Ha! Served that slut right! No wonder she seemed down lately.
“So, uh… do you maybe wanna go out with me?”

I thought about it for a moment. A distraction. That was what I needed. Sorry Jason, but you’ll have to be my temporary fling.
“Sure” I said, smiling at him, and he nodded, and then slipped his arm around my waist, walking into potions with me.
“You always bounce back up above the water no matter how many times someone drowns you” Danni whispered, smiling at me, and I laughed, before sitting next to Jason.
“Alright Lisa?” I asked, turning round, and seeing Pansy had swapped places with Draco, but Lisa had stayed put. She scowled at me, and I grinned before turning back to face Jason.
“Uh, I have Quidditch practice this afternoon, so I can’t stay with you at lunch babe” he said, and my face fell, but I looked up at his handsome face, smiled, and then nodded. I still had Danni and Blaise.

At lunch, me and Danni hung out, and Blaise asked me if I had broken up with Jason already. I threw another sweet at him, hitting his nose, on purpose, and then laughed.
“No you douche bag! He had Quidditch practice!” I said, smiling at him, and his face dropped, and he widened his eyes, his mouth open “What? Its not like it’s a crime to go to Quidditch practice” I said laughing
“Oh shit! It’s not that! It’s just that I signed up this term, and I was supposed to go to try outs today! Fuck! I gotta run! See you round!” he said, and ran off, without even kissing Danni goodbye. She just sighed, and looked over at the Slytherin common room. Girls were allowed there when the boys had gone to Quidditch practice, and I got off my belly, then we both walked over to the common room
“Yo! Parvati! Lavender! Cho!” I yelled as I walked in, and they smiled at me, and I sat down next to them
“Ugh! What she doing here?!” I asked, looking disgustedly at Hermione. She scowled at me.
“Don’t be mean! She’s allowed here as much as we are! We’re not even in your house!” Cho said. Me and Danni had rowed with the teachers until they allowed people from other houses to come and sit in the Slytherin common room with us. They finally gave in, after we wore them down for a week.
“Whatever. So… watcha ladies up to?” I asked, looking down at them.
“Gossip” Parvati said, giggling with Lavender, and then looking at me.
“About who?” I said, my eyes in narrow slits, and they stopped laughing, and looked scared
“N-No-one” they said, and I read their minds.
“Oh you little slags! Get out!” I said quietly and coldly, and they speed walked out of the room, looking terrified.
“What were they talking about?” Danni asked me
“What Liam did to make me break up with him”
“Ugh! Sluts!” she said disgusted. The bell for end of lunch rang, and we waved goodbye to Cho, before giggling about Hermione being sad.
