Annaliese's POV

I watched Sam's face carefully as my pack retired to different positions. Randy leaned against the pool table while Christian stood in the doorway. Adian sat down on my left and put his arm around my shoulders. I saw something flash in Jacob's eyes but I shrugged it off.
'Do you remember Mr. Carter?' I asked.

Sam frowned, ‘Wasn’t he a teacher at the preschool?'

I nodded, 'He's my dad.'

'Oh,' Sam said, 'where is he?'

I tensed up as I remembered that day. Adian held me a little closer and Randy growled. I swallowed, 'He died eight years ago.'

Everyone in Sam's pack shoulders slumped. 'I'm sorry.' Sam apologised. 'I shouldn't have asked.'

I shook it off, 'You couldn't possibly know. It's okay.'

'You said eight years ago,' Jacob spoke,' that would make you.....'

'16.' I finished looking at his beautiful dark brown eyes. 'I should start from the beginning.'

They got comfortable. Adian only loosened his grip on me and shot daggers at Jacob.

'I am Quileute. Pure Quileute. My mother died a few hours after giving birth to me leaving my father with me. I lived in La Push until I was 2 years old when my father moved up here. I knew about that he was a werewolf and became one myself when I turned 6.' I heard a few gasps.

I smirked, 'Yeah, youngest person to phase ever. My dad and I protected the Makah Res until I was eight. Dad died in a vampire attack. I was alone until Adian joined.' I looked up at Adian and he looked down at me smiling.

'I knew Annaliese since she was 3 and I was 8. I phased when I was 12 and Annaliese showed me the ropes. We protected the Makah Res until Axel joined then Christian then Randy joined.' Adian replied with his Scottish accent.

'6?' Sam asked in disbelief. 'You went through that pain at 6 years old?'

I nodded, 'Yeah. I've been a wolf for 10 years now.' Out of the corner of my eye, I saw that Jacob was trying to control his shaking arms. 'It didn't hurt really.'

Jacob's POV

Calm down Jacob. I repeated in my head. Quil and Embry put their hand on either of my shoulders. I took a deep breath and the shaking stopped.

I looked at Annaliese. I remembered the pain I went through when I first phased. How my skin felt as if it was being ripped from my body. How my bones bend I ways I didn't think it was possible. The screams to make it stop. Annaliese went through that at just 6? No wonder she was the Alpha. Annaliese smiled weakly in my direction.

'So.....' Sam said, 'how are things up on the Makah Res?'

'Pretty quiet I guess.' Annaliese shrugged. 'Few months ago when the horde of newborns came was the most fun we've had in months.'

'Hear hear!!!!!!!' Her pack shouted.

'Newborn army?' Quil asked. 'We handled one too.'

'These were the reinforcements.' Randy answered. 'The red head had them made to back her up if the one you guys took down failed her.'

'You should be thanking us,' Adian said finally moving his arm from around my imprint's shoulders, ‘we saved your asses.'

'Thank you.' Sam said. He was totally out of his element. Normally was the one in charged and here was a 16 year old girl clearly superior to him.

'And think twice when you decide to chase a vampire on our side.' Axel said entering the room. 'I swear, that was a big shock.'

Sam glanced at the clock on the wall, 'We've got head back. We'll keep in touch.' Sam stood up.

I whined. I didn't want to leave. When will I see Annaliese again? I stood up reluctantly.

'Jacob.' I turned my head to see Annaliese beckoning for me to follow her. I happily followed her to the back porch.

'Annaliese.' I said softly. I looked down. What am I supposed to do? Do I tell her that I imprinted on her?

She nervously played with the ends of her dark brown hair, 'Can I have your number?'

I grinned. And handed her my phone while I took hers. I put my number in and handed her back. 'Guess I'll be seeing you around.' I mumbled. Now I really don't want to leave.

'I'll be coming down to La Push more often.' Annaliese said happily. 'Just look out for a black bike or a black Mercedes.'

I raised an eyebrow,' Mercedes?'

Annaliese laughed, 'I spend wisely.'

'Jacob!!!' Sam called. I rolled my eyes. I took Annaliese's small hand in mine and led her to the front porch. Once Randy and Adian saw her hand in mine they growled.

Annaliese blushed and gently took her hand out, 'See ya!!!'

I stole one last look at her before phasing. My mind was filled with Annaliese as we ran back.

Annaliese's POV

I sighed as I saw the last of the La Push pack leave. I wanted to see Jacob again. I reluctantly followed Axel back into the house.

'Annaliese imprinted!!!!!!!!!!!!' Axel shouted as he slung me over his shoulder.

Adian groaned, 'I was hoping not.' I smiled as I heard the better side of Adian come out.

Randy smiled just for me to see, 'I don't like the look of that guy. What's his name?'

'Jacob.' I answered immediately.

Christian chuckled, 'Annaliese got it bad. I'm happy for you.'

'So happy that you'll tell Axel to PUT ME DOWN!!!!!!!!' I playfully pounded his back.

Axel put me on the couch, 'Anything for the first to imprint. I think it's a good thing that you imprinted.'

'Why?' I asked lying down and turning on the flat screen.

'You never had a chance to experience love.' Axel replied.

'Yeah, you're always busy looking after us.' Adian added.

'But what's going to happen to us?' I asked looking up at them. 'I imprinted. Jacob is my soul mate. And more than likely I would move back to La Push. Who's going to be in charge?'

Adian rubbed his chin while he thought, 'How about we join their pack?' Randy grimaced.

I laughed quietly. Randy and Paul in 5 metres of each other is not going to work out at all. 'That's the future. Let me focus on how am I going to tell him.'

'You're on your own there sis.' Axel ruffled my hair.

I threw a pillow at him. 'Is lunch ready?'

Axel nodded, 'Steak and pasta. Go get it.'

'Get it for me.' I focused on the show on the T.V.

'Get it yourself.' Axel countered.
'No.'
'Yes.'
'No.'
'Yes.'

'Annaliese!!!' They shouted.

I sat up annoyed, 'Fine!!!' We laughed.
