My Oh So Ordinary Life

I started walking through the forest. It was dark, but it held that dark beauty that's hard to find. I started having nightmares earlier so I decided to take a walk through the forest. Suddenly a man jumped in front of me. I screamed and jumped back three feet. I put a hand on my chest.

"Jesus man, calm down. You look like you thought I was a Sasquatch o something." I rolled my eyes and kept walking.

"Hey where are you going?" He called after me.

"On a walk, duh." I said turning around and raising an eyebrow. By me turning around I was able to really take in this man's appearance. He was a large brute looking man with golden eyes, and brown hair. He wore some nice jeans with a nice looking shirt. He looked as if he might've come home from work, though he appeared to be my age.

"At this time of night?"

"Well why are you out here?" I continued, wanting to avoid the question.

"My girlfriend ran out of the house with my house and car keys." he said rolling his eyes.

"And she ran into the forest with them?"

"No, she threw them in here."

"Why'd she do that?"

She thought it would be funny." he shrugged.

"Well, I hope you find your keys." I said walking out of the forest, towards home.

"Wait! What's your name?" he called.

"Kat you?"

"Emmett Cullen." he answered, I smiled and kept walking.

"Bye Kat!" he called after me.

"Goodbye Emmett Cullen." I said over my shoulder.

*Emmett's P.O.V.*

I wtched until Kat was all the way out of the forest before running home.

"Ok, so there was a girl out in the forest, but don't worry I took care of it." I said with a triumphant smile.

"Emmett..." Rose sighed.

"I didn't do anything to her." I said, chuckling. She breathed a sigh of relief and I rolled my eyes.

"I just told her my totally HOT girlfriend threw my keys into the forest, and sent her on her merry way. Oh, and she almost met the wolves." I said giving them a thumbs up. Esme and Carlisle appeared in the kitchen with Rose and I.

"Emmett... what do you mean she almost met the wolves." I guess they couldn't fathom the idea of a human being anywhere near the wolves.

"Well she smelled wierd. Not like a normal human." I said thoughtfully.

Holy shit, he's thinking." Edward said sarcstically as he walked past the group. I flipped him off and his laughter was hearad through the house.

"It's fine, I was just trying to find something to eat, it's probably nothing." I said and shrugged.

*Kat's P.O.V.*

I sighed and lookd at the sight in front of me. Forks High. Milo walked up next to me. I looked up at him, Milo looked down at my and gave me a lazy smile. I laughed at how stupid he looked and walked into the office. A redheaded woman sat at the front desk. She looked up at me annoyed. I gave her a charming smile.

"Hi, I'm Kat Alexanders, and this is my brother Milo. We're new here and we're here to pick up our schedules." I said, keeping up my smile. She gave me a kert nod and turned around and started typing on her computer. I heard the printer start up. She handed me our schedules and I gave her another bright smile. She rolled her eyes and turned back to her computer. I giggled and gave Milo a lopsided grin. He shook his head with a slight smile. I looped my arm with his and we walked to our first class. I looked down at our schedules. We only had first, third, fourth, and fifth period together. We had English, Spanish, Theatre, and Bio. The only two we didn't have together was Math and sixth period. I was in Pre-Calc for math while Milo was in Algebra 2 Trig. For sixth period I was in Choir and he was in Art. That was the only difference between us. I loved singing and he loved to paint, sculpt, and sketch. And he was awesome at it. I looked at all of the people in the halls and smiled. It was going to be a good year.
