Never Say Never

"I got my ass kicked last night," Randy said as we sat on the couch with Sarah

"At least you're still WWE Champion!" I said with a smile

"Sunday, I was in 2 championship matches, then last night Shawn Michaels returned and kicked my ass. By the way, why wasn't I informed he was returning?"

"Well, I was told not to tell you. Ya know, wanted you to be genuinely surprised."

"Thanks, babe," Randy rolled his eyes

After John was injured on Raw, we had the No Mercy pay-per-view the following week. In the beginning of the show, the WWE Championship was awarded to Randy. Then Randy lost the title to dad, who then went on to defeat Umaga. At the end of the night, Randy evoked his rematch clause and got the title back from dad. Then last night on Raw, Vince was going to make the whole roster shake Randy's hand, starting with dad. But, surprise, surprise, Shawn Michaels made his return after being 'put out' by Randy

"Well, at least we have a few days off. What do you wanna do?" I asked

"Well.. my moms been asking about having us over for dinner," Randy said

"Why? Why not just invite you and Sarah? I know it, you know it, your whole family knows it... the woman does not like me,"

"And I'm gonna talk to her about that,"

"Fine, but can we go tomorrow night or something?"

"Sure, babe," Randy agreed, "Sarah, no!"

I looked at her and she had Randy's phone in her hand and it was heading for her mouth, "No, Sarah," She looked at me and I could of sworn she gave me a smirk, "Sarah!"

She threw his phone across the room and laughed, I looked at Randy and he just closed his eyes. I went to pick it up and put the pieces back together

"Oh, kid," Randy said, "Why don't you ever mess with your mothers stuff, huh?" he asked as he held her in the air, making her laugh

"Because its more fun to mess with her daddy's stuff," I told him

"Yeah, yeah. How about you make me some lunch?" Randy asked

I laughed at him, "I have a better idea, how about you buy me lunch?"

"Fine, you win," Randy said, "Hey wanna go to the zoo?"

"Yeah," I said, "Sarah will love that. I'm gonna get myself ready then I'll get Sarah dressed,"

"Okay, don't take forever, babe," Randy said as I gave him a kiss before going upstairs

I showered quickly and went in our bedroom to pick out an outfit for today. It's the beginning of October but it was pretty sunny out. Not too could either, I started getting dressed and my cell phone went off,

"Hello," I answered, it was Kayla

"Hey, how are you? How's the fam?" She asked

"I'm good. Randy and Sarah are good. Where are you?"

"I'm at John's house, taking care of him and stuff."

"That's good. How's he doing?"

"Pretty good. He started his rehab, it's going pretty good,"

"Good, good. We're gonna come visit next time we're off."

"Cool. What are you guys doing today?"

"We're taking Sarah to the zoo," I said, "Then tomorrow night, dinner at the Orton's,"

"Haha, good luck,"

I talked to Kayla a little while longer before taking Sarah to get dressed. I brought her downstairs and got her diaper bag ready while Randy was showering. The door bell rang, and I went to answer it.

"Cody, Bailey, what are you guys doing here?" I asked as I invited them in with hugs, "Together, might I add."

"Well, Bailey called me, bored. Don't ask why, I don't know. Mentioned she hadn't seen you in a while. So I figured we'd come to see you," Cody said as he took Sarah and held her

"Surprised?" Bailey asked

"Well, yeah," I laughed

"Oh great," Randy said as he entered the living room, "Really? What is she doing here?"

"Nice to see you too, Orton," Bailey said, "Always a pleasure,"

Randy gave her one of those 'whatever' looks and gave Cody a bro hug, "No really, what are you doing here?"

"Visiting," Cody said

"Spending the night?"

"Of course!" Cody said, "I didn't come here for just one day,"

"Okay," Randy said, "We were just on our way out, going to the zoo. Coming?"

"Yeah," Cody and Bailey agreed

We got ready to leave and headed to get something to eat first. It really is nice to see Bailey even though her and Randy hate each other. After eating some lunch, we head to the zoo with Sarah. We were looking at the Monkeys, they seemed to be Sarah's favorite. Randy and Cody were walking ahead of us with her, Me and Bailey walked a little behind to talk

"Ya know, for being a pathetic human being, Randy sure is a good father," Bailey said

"Wow, what a bitch you are," I laughed, "But yeah, Randy's great with her. Surprised me actually," I told her

"Really?"

"Yeah. Didn't it surprise you? He never really seemed like the father type. But, I have a tiny problem,"

"What?"

"Dinner, tomorrow night with Randy's family,"

"And the future mother in-law who's making it well known that she doesn't like you,"

"Exactly. Help me, Bales. What do I do?"

"I have an idea,"

After we spent the day at the zoo, we headed home. Sarah was exhausted so we put her to bed. Cody ordered pizza for everyone.

"So, new plans for tomorrow night's dinner," I said to Randy as I sat on the couch next to him, handing him a drink

"You're not getting out of it," Randy said

"Oh, I'm not trying to," I said, "We're gonna have it here,"

"WHAT?!"

I laughed, "I'm hosting dinner here. We have guests in town, so I would like to have your family over for dinner here instead. And you're going to tell your parents that,"

"What are you getting at?" Randy asked, curious

"I'm gonna impress your mother. I'm gonna be so great, she'll regret ever not liking me in the first place,"

"This will be interesting," Randy said, "So dinner here tomorrow night?"

"Make the call," I nodded
