Have You Seen This Girl?

Never Felt Right Calling This Just Friends.

Anna's POV-

"Talk." Demanded my dad.

I sat in front of my two, very dissatisfied parents. I was
contemplating what to say. I knew no matter what I said, they would be
angry with me.

I'm such a disappointment

"Well." My dad repeated.

"I had a couple friends over." I started, nervously. "Cara, Paula, and
three people we met at my work."

"Who are those three friends." My father asks.

"Jack, Alex, and Jordan."

"And they are older boys, right?"

"Yeah, but only by a couple years."

"Anna, they could of raped you!" My father shouted.

"They would not have of!" I yelled back. "I know them, they are not bad
guys." I was getting defensive, because he was being out of line.

He let's out a deep sigh. "Anna, we have no choice, but to ground you."

"I know I made a mistake." I began to plead. "But I have never done
anything wrong, before this."

"It doesn't matter. The bad outweighs the good." My mom chimed in.

"You are grounded for, five months." My dad announces.

My jaw dropped and so did my heart.
Five months is a fucking long time.

"No friends, no phones, no wifi, and no concerts." My dad says,
standing up. "Only time you can go out is for school, and work. But Im
letting you can keep your iPod."

Thank God, I can keep my iPod. I would seriously just jump off a bridge
without it.

No Paula, and Cara; how am I suppose to survive? They keep me sane.
I'll go crazy in this house.

Overall this means, No Jack.

I cant text him. I can't even email him. He's going to get bored with
this, with me. And move on. He'll fine some older girl, who's allowed
to date, and go out. While I'm locked away in my stupid house.

Forever Alone.

"Why don't you go upstairs, and do your homework, or something." My mom
suggests.

I nodded, and slowly stood up. I walked over to the stairs, and up to
my room. I collapse on my bed, and begin to cry my eyes out. I just
kept crying. I cried till I couldn't breathe.

I wipe my damp eyes with my sleeve. And grab my iPod off my night
stand. I check if I still have my wifi, and I did. I quickly update
Cara and Paula on what just happened. Cara's parents yelled at her, but
didn't really care. Paula's mom was mad, just because she didn't know
the boys were there.

They felt bad for me, because I was in so much trouble. I told them to
contact Jack, and tell him Im sorry. And let him know I'm under lock
and key until March.

I just wanted needed, to talk to him. I had to find away. He's only
in town for one more day.

I told Paula to text Alex. And have tell him, to get the guys and meet
us at the diner (where I work) tomorrow.

She said, "Okay." And after that my wifi was gone. I closed my eye. I
felt so alone.

This will be the longest five months of my life.

I put my earbuds in my ears, and put on All Time Low. -Of course.- I
laid in my bed, and closed my eyes. Eventually, I fell asleep to Alex's
voice.

My ship went down in a sea of sound. When I woke up alone I had
everything. A hand full of moments, I wished I could change. And a
tounge like a nightmare, that cut like a blade.

I woke up a little later then normal. My iPod still playing, in my
ears. So, I quickly got dressed and hopped down the stairs. My mom was
at the table, sipping her coffee. I quietly step in, and grab a muffin.
I could feel my moms eyes burn into me. I turn around, to face her.
"Morning." I whisper, my voice shook.

She didn't say anything; she just nodded. I sighed and went out the
back door. I began to walk down the street, well faster than walk. I
was going to be late, so I started to jog. Damn, I need a car.

Once I got to work, I bursted through the door. I was so out of breath.
I got to the time clock, and punched in. Then just to brighten my day
further, my boss walks in.

"Anna, you're one minute late." My boss, Megan scolds.

"I know, I'm really sorry." I plead. "I had to walk to work, and-"

"I dont care." Megan shakes her head. "Just get to work."

"Of course." I obeyed, and headed to the sink. I began to wash dozens
of dirty dishes, how lovely.

•••
Later on that day-

It was finally time for my break. I wash my hands, and take off my
apron. I walk out of the back, and sit at a booth by myself. I fiddle
with the napkins, and start to rip them apart. Until there was a bunch
of tiny little napkin pieces in front of me. I sighed, and rolled my
eyes, at the mess I had made. But my attention was drawn to the door
opening. In walked Cara, and Paula. They look around the room, and then
saw me. They walk over, and give me a hug.

"Anna, how are you?" Cara asks.

"Been better." I breathe.

"Poor thing." Paula says, with a sad smile. "I talked to Alex. He said
they would come, they really should be here any minute."

"That's great." I said, and for the first time in a while I was happy.

"Yeah, so you're grounded until March?" Paula questioned.

I nod.

"That's like forever." Paula breathes, and slumps back in her chair.

"We are going to come visit you at work, everyday." Cara proclaims.

"Please do, I'm going to be so miserable." I whine, and drop my face
into my hands.

I heard the bell of the door opening, and my head shot up.

I first saw Jordan, he waved over at Cara. Then Alex walked in,
followed by Jack. Looking good, I may add.

"Anna." Jack sang. "I've missed you." He said, hugging me.

"It's only been a day, not even." I laugh.

"Still." He says, sitting next to me. "It feels a lot longer."

I felt my cheeks get hot, and turn red.

"So, I hear you're grounded until March." Jack starts.

"Sadly." I whisper.

"Well, I think we can still make this thing work. If you are still
willing." Jack mentioned, swinging his arm around my shoulder.

"You still want to hang out with me?" I ask, lifting an eyebrow at him.

"Of course, why wouldn't I?"

"I won't have a phone, so I can't talk to you. And I'm not allowed to
leave my house, except for school and work."

Jack shrugged. "Well, I won't be able to see you for awhile, anyways.
We have to leave, to get ready for tour. So it kind of works out... And
I got you a little going away gift." Jack says reaching in his jacket
pocket. He pulls out a small, rectangular box, with a bow on it. "Here
you go." He says, handing me the box.

I take it out of his hand, and stare at it. I glance back up at him, he
nods for me go open it. So I take the bow off, and open the box. Inside
is a black cell phone. I pick it up, and flip it open. I peak up at
him, "A cell phone?"

"Yeah, so we can still talk." Jack smiles.

"That's so sweet." Cara cuts in.

Jack chuckles a but, then asks. "You like it?"

"Yeah, it's perfect. What would I do with out talking to you, for five
months?"

"I'm happy you like it." Jack smiles.

After some small talk, Jack leans over to me."Anna, can I talk to you,
alone?" Jacks voice whispers in my ear.

I nod, and slide out of the booth, and Jack follows. "We'll be right
back." Jack announces.

We walk out of the diner, and stand in front, by the door.
"So what do you want to talk about, Jack?" I ask, smiling up at him.

"Well, it's kind of serious... I haven't done this in a long time. Like
since, freshmen year." Jack explains.

I begin to get nervous, I could already feel my cheeks turn red.

"I never officially asked you; it kind of just happened by itself...
But I still want to officially ask you." Jack pauses and takes deep
breath. "Will you be my girlfriend, Anna?"

My eyes grew huge, and the biggest smile spreads across my face. I
probably looked like a psycho. But I didn't care, I was so excited.

Jack just asked me to be his girlfriend. I've have dreamed of this moment a
thousand times. I just cannot believe it's actually happening.

The cutest, most perfect person in the world, is standing right in
front of me. He looked nervous; his eyebrows were bunched together, and
he was biting his lip. And oh god, he looked so good. He need to stop
looking at me with those big, brown eyes. I swear I felt like I was
going to die.

"Well?" Jack gulped.

I came back to reality, at the sound of his voice. I find it funny that
he really had to ask, like I would actually would be like, "No Jack, I
do not want to be your girlfriend." that would be fucking crazy talk.

I smile at him, and say, "Yeah, of course I want be your girlfriend."

Jack let's out a sigh of relief, and smiles. "That's awesome." Jack
wraps his arms around me, and pulls me close to him. "So, I'm
officially off the market." He laughs.
