Have You Seen This Girl?

Our Time Ran Out

*Anna's POV-

We were caught.

In front of me, stood my mom, my much older boyfriend, and his much
older friends. My mother had her hands on her hips, and her eyes were
squinted at me. I look at my feet, and bite my lip. My heart was
pounding, what was I going to do?

"Anna, do you care to explain yourself?" My mom hissed.

"Not really." I whispered, just loud enough for her to hear.

"Excuse me?" My mom shouts. "Anna, you are in so much trouble."

"She shouldn't be in trouble. This is all-" Jack starts, but my mom
quickly firebacks. "Who are you boys? Anna who are they, and why are
they here?"

"Um, they are... Uh, friends?" It came out as a question.

"Friends really, Anna? You know there are _never_ any boys allowed in
the house. Especially when no one else is home." My moms voice becomes
loud and harsh.

"I know, I'm sorry." I beg, but she wasn't buying it.

"Ohh, when your dad finds out."

"Can't we just forgive and forget? Let's just move on?" Jack pleaded.

"Out." My mom demanded "Get out now." She dragged the line of boys,
bringing them to the front door. She flung the door open; she placed
her hand on her hips, and waited for them to leave. Jordan stepped out
the door, followed by Alex. Right before Jack went out the door, he
glanced back at me. "I'm so sorry, Anna-" He said, but was cut off by
my mom, of course. "Don't apologize, just go."

Jack watched me, with concern in his eyes. He looked down, then finally
left my house. My mon slammed the door shut, and turned back to us. Her
eyes were filled with rage. I bit my lip, trying to stop myself from
crying. The room fell silent, no one said a word. It was extremely
awkward.

Then my mom starts, "Anna-" But I didn't want to hear it. I took off
for the stairs. I hopped up each one, and ran to my room. Once I was
inside, I slammed the door shut. Then I crashed on to my bed, and let
my face sink in to the pillow. Eventually, I gave in and cried. My
emotions were everywhere.

I was upset, angry, sad, depressed, scared, and confused.

Following my meltdown, Cara and Paula barge in. "Hey, are you okay?"
Cara asks, leaning on my bed.

"No." I managed to get out.

"It will okay, Anna." Paula try's to reassure me.

I sat up, and wiped away my tears. "No it won't. I'll never be able to
see Jack again... I'll never be able to leave this house again. My life
is going to suck."

"You will see Jack again. Don't worry about it." Cara says, giving me a
hug. But I still wasn't convinced.

"Jack has been talking to you for awhile. And he knows you're
underaged, but that hasn't stopped him. If he likes you as much as he
seems to, this isn't going to stop him either." Paula states.

"But my mom... And dear god, my dad. I'm dead, that's it I'm dead." I
whine, falling down on my bed.

My bedroom door opens, and standing there is my mom. Dammit, I wish I
was allowed to have a lock on my door.

"Cara, Paula, you two need to go home now." My mom commands. And of
course they listen. They know better than to not listen to my mom when
she's pissed.

"See ya, Anna." Cara whispers.

"I doubt that." My mom snaps. "I told your mothers about the little
incident today."

Paula gasps, her and Cara exchange terrified looks.

"Oh dear." Paula choked out, before she leaves my room.

I sat up on my bed, as my mom sat down across from me. Then she breaks
the silence, "Your dad will be home in an hour."

Great.

"I told him what happened. And he not very pleased, either am I. Anna
what were you thinking? Really, please enlighten me." My mom rants.

"I guess I wasn't." I breathe. "We weren't doing anything wrong. We all
were just talking."

"How do you know those boys?" She asks.

Well, you see I went my favorite bands concert. After the show I met
them; we went out to breakfast. And I ended up dating the guitar
player. That's how I know them.

I definitely could not say that.

"Um... I know them from, uh... We met them at work." I nod, as if I was
trying to convince myself that my lie was true.

"Work." My mom snickered. "You met them at work?"

"Yeah, they come in a lot. And we all kind of became friends."

"How old are they?"

I gulp. "Um, just a little bit older than me."

"How much is a little bit?" My mom questioned.

"Like one, two years older." Lie.

"You had older boys over. And probaly in your room." My mom stood up,
and began pacing the floor. "Oh lord, where did I go wrong with you?"

"We didn't do anything wrong." I started to get worked up. And began to
raise my voice. "Nothing happened. I swear."

"Well, I guess we'll never know." My mom said calmly. I rolled my eyes,
and shook my head.

"Better get ready for your father." She said, then left my room.

I hid my face in my palms. How could she not believe me? I have never
done anything wrong. Sure this is kind of a big deal, but I wasn't
lying.

Nothing happened.

Around an hour later, my dad arrived home. I stayed up in my room,
scared to go downstairs. Until my mom called my name, telling me to
come downstairs.

I stood at the top of the stairs, and took a deep breath. Finally, I
took the 'walk of shame' down to the living room.
There on the couch sat my mom and dad, with disappointed expressions
painted on their faces.

"Take a seat." My dad simply stated; motioning to the chair in front of
him.

I sat down, and stared at my hands.

"Talk." My dad commanded.

And I began to explain the situation that went down today.

This can only end... Terrible.
