There was a change in the atmosphere. Every creature, everything or one could feel it.

The normally meek wind had drawn strength and swirled swiftly amongst the trees as if it were whispering, gossiping among friends. Animals paused in their food-gathering attempts as their ears perked and twitched, their nostrils pointed upwards, trying to discover the change.

The Air felt lighter, flippantly traced with a new kind-of innocence that the land had not felt in a millennia.

Something had changed. Something was happening. Every creature, everyone and everything could feel it with every single fiber of their being.

For those who were delighted or full of dread and disdain, no difference did it make that this change was happening—for they had been waiting.
