Call Me Hopeless, But Not Romantic.

Anything for you.

I had ordered a necklace for her that I figured she would really like and it should be in by now. Yes, I know, I was what Lee described.

I went into the jewelry story glancing over everything as I went to the desk. I told the guy what I was there for and as he walked away I looked at the jewelry in front of me which was a case of rings.

I couldn't help but wonder what would happen if I got her one of those instead. I completely froze after the thought passed through my head. What was I thinking?

The guy came back with the necklace and he noticed what I was looking at.

"Change of heart?" He asked and I found it hard to speak.

"Um, hold on." I said grabbing for my phone and dialing Oli's number.

"Ello?" He said calmly and I began to pace the floor, "Oli, I need yeh ta tell meh no."

"Um, why mate?"

"Cause, I went ta tha jewelry store ta pick up that necklace I told yeh I got..."

"Yeah...."

"And, I, fuck..." I groaned tugging on my hair.

" uh...is it the wrong one?" He asked sounding as confused as I felt.

"No." I whined.

"Mate, I can't read yeh bloody mind. Tell meh!"

"And while he was gettinl it I was lookin' at otha jewlery and I honestly fought bout askin' her ta marry meh. Like that was an actual, legit fought, Oli!" I said panicking.

He then started laughing hysterically, "reallah mate? Reallah?! That's tha whole dilemma?!"

"Yeah! It's not funny I'm sweatin' and shit! What do I do?!"

He chuckled, "Oh man this is epic. Dude, if yeh wanna bloody marry her, marry her. Why is it a big deal?"

I groaned, "ugh I need ta call Lee."

"Yeah, he'll have yeh breakin' up wif her in an houa. Mate if yeh love her and yeh don't wanna live wifout her then what's that matta? Ask her."

"We've neva even talked bout it..." mumbled.

"Well, buy it. Talk bout it. If not, return it." He said calmly. If only I had half of that.

I breathed in deeply, "Ok. Yeh right. I will."

"Fank god yeh called meh and not Lee."

"Whateva bye." I grumbled before hanging up. I took a deep breath and stepped back to the counter.

"Yeah I want both." I said calmly and the guy chuckled.

Hopefully I wasn't being simply irrational.

Once I got home thankfully she was still asleep so I had time to hide the jewelry. I was nervous now. Anxious, nervous, and feeling a bit sick from all of this.

"What's wrong?" She spoke, startling me. I quit pacing and looked over at her as she looked at me from the bed sleepily.

I smiled, "nuffin love. Juss finkin."

"About?"

I walked over to her and sat own, "yeh." I whispered brushing her hair from her face.

She closed her eyes as I ran my fingers over her cheek, "Macy..."

"Mhm?"

"When yeh fink bout tha future am I in it?" I asked and her eyes opened again.

"Yes." She said seriously.

"I don't mean like next month, or a year from now, I mean like 5 or ten years from now do yeh fink of meh when yeh fink of that?" I asked and she nodded as she pulled me down.

"Yeah. I do. Really." She said as my nose touched hers. I sighed and closed my eyes, "Ok. Juss wonderin'."

"What's wrong?" She asked and I wrapped my arms around her, "nuffin my lil bird. I swear."

That wasn't a lie. I was in fact ok now. Nothing was wrong and I was actually, crazily going to ask her to marry me.

I swore Oli to secrecy, that way one of those idiots didn't find out and ruin everything.

I know it was cheesy, but I decided to ask her on Christmas. She would be with me, and I knew she would be in an amazing mood. Nothing would go wrong I'd make sure of it.

Christmas morning I made sure I was up before her. I made some hot chocolate as the nerves grew in my stomach. I sat the ring next to that stupid santa thing and before I could wake her she walked out of the room.

"Merry Christmas my love." I said kissing her lips as I handed her a mug of hot chocolate.

"Thanks." She said and I chuckled as I pulled her to the couch.

"I kind of, well, got yeh a lot." I said kissing her a few times.

"Matty..."

"Sorrah! I couldn't help it. Well I'm sure I could, but yeh my bird dammit can I not buy yeh shit?!" I asked causing her to laugh.

I smiled and cupped her face, "I love yeh."

After we exchanged a few small things I grew more nervous then I thought possible.

"Ok, so...don't kill me." I said as I sat the jewlery box in her lap.

"Matty..." she said so serious that a grin hit my lips. She slowly opened the box and her hand covered her mouth.

"Do yeh like it?" I asked happily and she nodded causing me to laugh once more.

"I love it. It's so pretty. Matt, you really shouldn't have."

I rolled my eyes, "Nonsense. Yeh deserve it. Yeh amazin'." I said as I pulled the necklace from the box and she pulled her hair up so I could put it on her.

"Thank you." She said as she dropped her hair.

"Anyfing for yeh love." I said kissing her lips softly, "hey maybeh yeh should go turn that stupid singin' santa on. I'm kind of in tha mood for it."

She laughed as she got up and I quietly followed behind her. As she went to turn it on she gasped and I knew she had seen the ring I had opened and strategically placed so she couldn't miss it.

She quickly spun around and I grabbed her hands, "Tha otha day I went in ta get yeh necklace and I came upon some rings and it just hit me. I couldn't imagine not spendin' foreva wif yeh. In fact, tha first fought I had was, what if I got her this instead? Macy, I love yeh. Will yeh marry meh? Because there is nuffin I'd want more than ta be wif yeh foreva and be able to have a decorated house for every bloody holiday." I said with a grin and she laughed as tears fell from her eyes.

"I love yeh Macy. I have from tha moment I laid eyes on yeh and I plan to foreva." I added brushing her cheek softly.

"So what do yeh say?" I asked growing a bit nervous from her being so quiet. she quickly nodded and threw her arms around my neck.

"Is that a yes?" I asked chuckling.

"Yes." She said kissing me quickly, "can I put it on?"

"Well I bloody hope so." I said laughing as I reached over for the ring. I gently grabbed her hand and slid the ring on her finger.

"Yeh sure?" I asked and she laughed, "Yes Matt. I love you."

I scooped her up and kissed her, "guess that happily eva afta I told yeh ta have will be wif meh afta all, my lil bird."

She smiled, "let's go to Oli's!"

I chuckled, "why yeh wanna do that?"

"So I can tell everyone!" She said excitedly.

I laughed and pressed my lips to hers, "what eva yeh want lil bird, but yeh migh wanna change."

"Why? Dont like my candy cane shorts?"

I chuckled, "well, yeh know I like yeh in anyfing."

She grinned and kissed me once more. I couldn't help but laugh at her cuteness. Asking her to marry me was definitely the right thing to do.

We got dressed and loaded the car with presents. It was very weird doing this all with her, yet I couldn't have been happier.

I kissed her hand as we drove to Oli's and she rambled about being able to see Nick again.

"I swear my bird bought too much." I grumbled as Oli held the door open for me and her. I dropped the presents on the couch.

"Did not." She said elbowing me and I gave her a grin.

Oliver eyed me as if waiting for me to tell him if I did it or not and before I could even nod Katie gasped, "what is on your hand?!" She said pointing at Macy and she instantly began to blush. She hated attention, even I knew that. I grin spread across my face as Katie grabbed her hand up.

"Good goin' mate." Oli said with a smile as he patted my shoulder.

"So is this what I think it is?" Katie asked and I shrugged giving Macy an amused look, "I dunno, what do yeh fink it is?"

"I think it's an engagement ring!"

"Maybeh it is Katie bug." I said with a smile I couldn't erase.

"It is." Macy said chuckling as Katie glared at me.

"Awe, Matty, I can't believe you asked someone to marry you. You hate everyone." She joked and I rolled my eyes, "do not."

"There's my baby." Macy said as Lexi came downstairs with Nick.

I watched her scoop him up quickly and talk to him like he was going to talk back.

"Is that gonna be what yeh future looks like?" Tom asked and I shot him a look, "we aren't even married yet. Settle down."

"Stop scarying him." Katie said smacking Tom's arm lightly.

A grin hit my lips as I watched her kiss his forehead and cuddle him to her. It was proper cute if I say so myself.

She walked over and sat in my lap, the baby in hers.

"Hey lil Nick." I said grabbing his hand up and a smile hit his lips. He was a happy kid. It was hard not to like him.

"I want to keep him." She said with a frown.

I chuckled, "don't fink Lexi would agree wif that."

"Too bad."

I chuckled and kissed her shoulder, "Plus, if he's cute imagine how cute ours will be." I whispered pressing my lips to her neck.

She looked at me and I gave her a grin, "gonna let him get his present?" I asked and she leaned in to kiss me.

"What was that for?" I asked with a smile.

"Because, I love you."

"I love yeh too." I said before she got of my lap and sat Nick in the floor.

I just watched everyone from where I was sitting. For once everyone was happy and things were good. I couldn't help, but take it all in. The future was seeming oddly bright and for once, it excited me.

Macy looked over at me a grin on her lips, which I quickly returned.

It was all because of her. Who would have guessed...

The enddd.

thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who commented/read this story. :) I loved writing it.

One question. I plan to do spin offs (of course) but I can't decide if I should do Lee or Jona first. (Both will be done eventually though) so which would you prefer?

My John O'Callaghan story should make an appearance some time next week so keep a look out for it. :3
