Take It Slow

I was 21 years old when I moved to England. It was supposed to be a year-long trip, intended by my University in the ‘States to “broaden my horizons” and make me more worldly, or something. Only a year traipsing around that grey little island, taking classes that wouldn’t matter in the long run and meeting people I wouldn’t remember ten years down the road. That’s all it was meant to be.

Of course, it didn’t happen that way. Nothing ever does, I guess.
