Summer Vacation
Don’t ask me how it started. I’m not sure how it happened either, even though it’s my life that it happened to. I’ll start where I can remember my life was turned around.
“WE’RE MOVING!?!” My cousin screamed. She is only eleven, but she doesn’t know any other family members except my small family. Even though her parents abandoned her, I’m actually pretty happy that she is part of my family; it’s like having a little sister.
“I think you might like it there, Emily. We’re going to Cali,” My mom replied, keeping her cool. I love my mom. I want to show her that I’m a great daughter and that she can be proud of me. She’s also very beautiful like a model.
“We’re only going to be there for the summer then, we’ll come back in time for school.”
“Hmph! Fine, might as well have fun,” Emily replied, folding her arms and as she walked up the stairs to pack. I smile at Mom and she returns it with a nod. I walked upstairs and into my room where my clothes were sitting on the dresser; just waiting to be packed.
