Life is often full of twists and turns that lead us to places we never expected to end up.
Growing up together, Emmerald and Chelsea had no idea how their lives would turn out. Moving to Pittsburgh and falling in love were never on their agenda, until Jordan Staal and Sidney Crosby entered the picture. While love brought Emmerald and Sidney together, it only seemed to slowly tear apart Chelsea and Jordan.
Vancouver seemed to be the solution to all of Chelsea's problems and it inevitably became the place she ran to.
The distance between friends and lovers may change, but it doesn't always guarantee that feelings will disappear or things will get better.
This is a sequel and it might be a little easier to understand if you read through the first story. It's not necessary though.
