"You're gonna want to be up for this, 'cause I had an epiphany!" John sounded so excited; I couldn't help but sit back and look at him.

"An epiphany?"

He nodded and I noticed that he bore a huge grin.

"What exactly, might I ask, was the epiphany that was so great you had to wake me up?" I wasn't trying to be rude; I was just a slight bitch in the morning.

"I love you," he stated simply.
