Emiliana Monroe has not had an easy life. From the time that she was a toddler, she has seen more than enough trauma and tragedy that would likely drive anyone to the brink of insanity. But Emiliana is known for being strong, and she has her very supportive and loving friends to thank for that.

Emiliana and her three best friends - Tori, Erin, and Gia - have just graduated high school. They will all be attending the same college in January, and have decided to use their six months of freedom to go on a road trip to Los Angeles and temporarily live there - courtesy of Gia's parents, who are loaded.

By a chance of fate, and a spill of water, the four girls will meet their matches. But what always gets in the way of love? Life.
