Christmas
Roxy’s POV
It was finally Christmas and I am so excited to celebrate with Geno and his parents. Yesterday we had a Christmas Party at Consol and family skate. It was great seeing all that WAG’s and kids on the ice and in the arena. With not having to work the next day I stayed at his house last night. It is a tradition in my family that on Christmas Eve everyone gets new Christmas pajamas every year and we sleep in them. I gave Geno his last night and told him about my family’s tradition; he was so excited to be involved.
I woke up really early like usual on Christmas morning to see him passed out, half on top of me, and in pajamas with reindeer and elves all over them. He looked so adorable and young when he slept. I ran a hand through his hair and he pulled me even tighter to him before breathing deeply into my neck.
I kissed his forehead before whispering to him “Wake up, it’s Christmas”
He groaned and buried his face in my neck “No, too early” he said
“You don’t want breakfast or to see what I got you for Christmas?” I asked excited about his present.
That peaked his interest “What is it?” he asked and I could feel his lips move across my neck.
“Well I guess you have to get up and see for yourself” I said and felt him sigh before giving my neck a kiss and rolling over. He shuffled into the bathroom and I made my way downstairs after telling him where I would be.
After starting the coffee and getting the waffles started Vladimir and Natalia walked into the kitchen.
“Good morning” I said to them and Natalia came over and gave me a kiss on the cheek. “I’m making waffles, is that okay?”
“Da, very good” she said as she poured two cups of coffee. We had gotten close in the few days they have been here and she was like a second mother already. It made Christmas a little better, sharing it with some type of parental figures. I just finished the last waffle when Geno came in looking much more awake.
“Good morning and happy Christmas” he said with a huge smile.
“Merry Christmas” I said back before he gave me a kiss. “Okay, dig in everybody” I said as he got plates out.
After breakfast we made our way to the living room. We sorted out all the gifts and decided to go youngest to oldest. I grabbed a present but Geno took it out of my hands.
“That one last” he said
“Fine” I said before grabbing another and opening it to find a beautiful sweater from Natalia and Vladimir. “Thank you so much” I said “It’s beautiful”
“My turn” Geno said and grabbed one and tore it open, it was from his brother from back home and it was something Russian.
We went around until we only had one left each. I picked up a long flat box and gave him a curious look before ripping off the wrapping paper. I lifted the top to see a piece of folded paper; I took it out, unfolded it and read. I had instant tears in my eyes and cover my mouth to muffle a sob.
“Do you like it?” he asked and I launched myself into his lap.
“Yes, I love it and you” I said and looked back down at the printout of two tickets from Florida to Pittsburgh.
“What is it?” Natalia asked
“I got her parents to come out for classic” he said and I kissed his cheek one more time.
“Open yours” I said and watched him lift the lid to the box I had carried out a few minutes before. He stared into the box with his mouth open. “Do you like it?” I asked as I looked down at the little kitten inside.
“I love it” he said turning to me and giving me a kiss. He picked up the kitten and it looked tiny in his huge hands. “What is it?” he asked
“It’s a little girl” I said “What do you want to name her?” I asked and I had a flash of the future, us in the hospital with a tiny baby asking the same question.
“I always like name Dixie” he said with a small smile and the kitten meowed.
“I think she likes that name too” I said with a laugh “Dixie it is”
We all relaxed in the living room and watched Christmas movies for a while. In the middle of Home Alone Geno leaned over and whispered in my ear.
“I have one more for you, save for later” he said and I shivered from the breath on my ear.
“I have one more too” I said back and gave him a wink before turning my attention back to the movie.
By the end of the movie Geno had fallen asleep and Dixie was curled up on his chest, it was so cute that I took a picture of them and sent it to my mom and sister, saying he liked his present. I went to go make lunch to find Natalia already making something and shooing me out of the kitchen.
I returned to the couch to se Geno awake and petting Dixie with a smile on his face.
“Look who’s awake” I said as I sat down.
“Sorry” he said and I rested my head on his chest, flipping through the channels looking for something else. A Christmas Story was on and I stopped on it since it had just started.
“This is one of my favorites” I said “It’s a classic”

Geno’s POV
I watched her as she watched one of her favorite movies. I loved when she would laugh because her eyes would light up and her giggles would vibrate against me. I pulled her in more to my chest and kissed the top of her head causing her to look up at me with a confused look.
“I just love you” I said with a smile
“I love you too” she said back with a peck and snuggled back into my chest.
I was still wondering what else she would get me. I thought about my wish of her in bed naked but shook that away. She wouldn’t want to do that while my parents were in the house, would she?
“Lunch ready” my mom called from the kitchen. We walked into the kitchen to see that she made the lunch we would always have on Christmas in Russia growing up.
“Mama didn’t need to do this” I said but secretly loved it.
“What are we having?” Roxy asked from beside me
“Perogies and soup, tradition in Russia” I told her and she smiled.
“It smells delicious” she says as we sit down and dig in. “It also tastes delicious” she says after a few minutes of eating.
“Spasibo” my mom says back with a smile. Just as we finish lunch I hear Roxy’s phone ringing and grab it for her.
“Phone” I said as I hand it to her.
“Thanks” she says before answering the call. “Hi mom! Merry Christmas! Yes, we opened presents last night before I came over to Geno’s” she says with a huge smile. “I am so excited for you and dad to come up here in a week! I know I will have to show you the sights” she says before going quite and listening to her mom. “I know mom, I miss you guys too” she says and I can see the tears in her eyes from where I stand rinsing the dishes. “Yeah, I will tell him” she says and flicks her eyes over to me. “I will tell them too” she says with a smile. “I will, I love you both. Be careful tonight, bye mom” she says and hangs up the phone.
“That was my mom. She says thank you again for the tickets and that they can’t wait to get here, meet your parents, and see you again.” She says with a hug. “Have I told you today that I love you?” she asks
“Yes” I say with a smile
“Well I do love you and everything you do for me and my family” she says getting misty eyed again.
“In a heartbeat” I say and give her a kiss.

Getting ready for bed I get the box off the top shelf of my closet while she is in the bathroom. I heard the bathroom door open and walked out to meet her before she got into bed. When I walked out of the closet I stopped dead in my tracks. There she stood with a smirk on her face dressed in all red and looking sinful.
“I know I’m not naked” she said
“No this is better” I say as I walk up to her “Here” I say and hand her the present. She looks at me, then the box, then back at me.
I watch her to see her reaction as she rips off the paper and lifts the lid “Oh Evgeni” she says “How did you know?” she looks up at me.
“Little birdie” I say with a shrug “Do you like it?”
“No” she says and my heart drops “I love it” I give her a kiss and take the box from her hand.
“Let me put it on” I say taking it out of the box then securing it around her neck. I turn her around to see it lay perfectly on her chest. “Perfect” I say
“Yes you are” he says with a smile “I love you so much Evgeni”
“I love you too Roxanne” I say and touch her necklace “forever” I whisper.
“Forever” she says beck before we lose ourselves in each other.

Sorry this took so long but I didn't really have any motivation this past week and I had two tests to study for. I really hope you enjoyed this and I know I said there would be drama but I think that is happening in the next chapter. I am not sure where to go from here.Comment and let me know your ideas!!
