Never Gonna Let You Go

JACKS POV

It was finally Thursday which meant we had the off, and that I was finally going to take Nicole out for out first dat. After 9 years this is finally happening. We were in NYC tonight and were staying in a hotel room for tonight and tomorrow so I was getting ready in the room while Alex was on his computer and talking to me.

“What are you even doing tonight with Nicole? You haven’t even told me dude” Alex said with his eyes still on the computer.

“I’m gonna take her to that restaurant she always talks about by central park and then I figure we can just walk around the park after” I said while towel drying my hair.

“Nice. Just don’t fuck anything up with her. She’s our best friend too so don’t fuck up” he said with a smirk.

I wasn’t going to fuck anything up. Nicole meant too much to me to screw anything up. I’ve been waiting for this night and I was planning on making it special for her. She had a douche of a boyfriend previously so I have to show her that I’m better.

“Dude, come on you know I’m not. Now do I look like an ass with this outfit or is it okay?” I asked wearing black skinny jeans, a dark blue v neck shirt, my leather jacket, and my black and gold Nikes.

“As good as you’ll get” he said sarcastic. “I’m kidding, you look fine. Now get the fuck out of here and go get her before you’re late”

“Alright man, I’ll see you later. Don’t wait up you little pussy ,PEACE” I said as I laughed and headed towards the door. Her room was a floor above mine so I took the stairs. As I got closer to the door I starting becoming more nervous. My hands started getting sweaty and my heart started beating faster.

Her room number was 436. I knocked on her door and waited for her to answer. At this point I was a mess. Why was I so damn nervous when I just saw her this morning? I need to pull my shit together. She finally opened the door and my jaw dropped. She looked stunning. I’ve seen her dressed up plenty of times, but tonight she looked flawless.

“Wow, you look beautiful” I said amazed.

“You don’t look to bad yourself Jacko” Nicole said with a smile. “So where are we going tonight?” she said as we started walking towards the stairs to get to the main lobby of the hotel.

“Well I wanted to take you to that sushi place you always talk about, Aji 71” I said still staring at her.

“Are you serious? Oh my gosh! Yay!” she said with excitement.

“Haha yeah and then I figured we could get ice cream or something and walk around the park since it’s so nice tonight” I said as I opened the door to the streets of the city for her.

We started walking to the restaurant and it only took about 10 minutes to get there. I made an 8 o’clock dinner reservation. When I opened the door to the restraint, I was shocked about how nice it was.

“Damn. This place is fucking fancy” I said amused.

“I know haha. You didn’t have to pick this place to eat just cause I wanted to come here” Nicole said looking around the restaurant as we waited for our table.

“Well I wanted too” I said as I smiled and gave her a kiss on her check.

“Jack, table for two” the waiter said and we made out way to our table. It was really nice too. Usually nice restaurants give you really small tables and you feel uncomfortable but this was a decent size space.

I ordered us a bottle of wine and we started looking at the menu. I had no fucking clue what any of this stuff was; I’m not too big on sushi. Nicole could tell I was having some issues with the menu so she helped me.

“You need some help there?” she asked as she laughed.

“Uhh kinda I have no clue what any of this is” I said.

“Haha I’ll just order a bunch of different sushi rolls and we can share, okay?” Nicole said with confidence looking at her menu.

“Sounds good to me” I said as took a sip of my wine.

Nicole ordered some weird sushi rolls that I cant even pronounce, but I had to admit they were pretty good. The date was going really well.

“OH MY GOD! What the fuck did I just put in my mouth. It’s burning like fucking crazy” I yelled and then started drinking as much water as I could.

All Nicole was doing was laughing hysterically. I’m glad she thought this was funny; sarcasm.

“That’s wasabi, Jack! That stuff is really hot and spicy, you’re only suppose to use a little” She said still laughing.

We finished our dinner and I paid for the check, even though Nicole fought for the bill.

“What should we do now?” Nicole asked.

“Now, we go take a little stroll in the park my lady” I said and grabbed her hand.
