Love and Other Lies

We got back in her car and she said she had to stop back off at her house. Informing me that i would need to stay in the car again. I said ok. Her house was nothing like I thought it would be, It was small. You could tell that it was falling apart but it was cute. Almost cottage like, a bay window took up about half of the small house front. the door next to it and the open carport. A large wood pile was in the side yard and a path beside the house and the garage that was also falling apart. When she opened the door a small wood stove peaked out, what looked like the living room close to it and the opening to the Kitchen. I watched her go down the hall, the short hall. She rushed back out and closed the door.... not locking it. She ran to a fridge under the carport and grabbed two sodas. Hopping back into the car she handed me one of them. I took one and smiled. Orange soda was my favorite.

"Thanks" I said not knowing what to say.

"No problem" She smiled, the smile falling off of her face at an approaching car. "ok, lay down in your seat and look like you are in pain. now" She said rolling up to the car and rolling down her window. "Hey gram" She said pleasantly.

"what are you doing out of school?" The woman said back, upset.

"it's lunch, and my friend had a stomach ache, I took him down to the house to grab some tums." She said patting my arm. I looked up and towards the lady's voice, trying to look pained.

"he looks constipated, maybe you should have gotten him laxative." The lady said not as upset.

"yea... i may do that after school" She replied. "I better get back before we are late"

"ok, see you when you get home Anna" The woman said in a cheery voice

"ok, by gram!" Anna said happily.

"feel better kid" She said rolling up her window and driving into her drive way.

"so close" Anna muttered driving off. "you can get up now" She said, getting no response. "Dimitri?" She asked, her answer was a snore. "of course" She sighed, pulling into the school parking lot and grabbing a sticky note.

*Dimitri. you fell asleep... door is locked but you can unlock it with the manual unlock thingy, just lock my car back up. oh and the thing that happened... didn't happen... hope you had a nice nap :)

"Shit" I muttered looking at the note that was stuck up to the window. I looked at the time, 1:04. ok, so i can make it to the last two periods of the day. Walking into the halls into his next class. There she sat, she looked up and gave me a sad smile, looking back down at her paper. What's the matter? Does she have a boyfriend? was he just that bad? A voice broke him out of his wondering.

"Mr. Dimitri? I'm glad you are feeling better, please have a seat" The teacher smiled. Pointing me towards the back. I knew Anna covered for me, but why? I hurt her some how and she still covered for me? Who is she? I guess i have time to find out.
