-3 weeks later-
Sophies POV:
Its 2 am and im awake and so is Alex, hes in the twins room trying to calm Micah down. For the past few nights every night Micahs been having nightmares ever since Alex let him watch halloween with him and Jack. After being gone for a while he came back and got in bed and his under the covers.
"Is he sleeping?" i said
"Mhmm" he mumbled
"Good, never gonna let him watch a horror movie ever again right?" i asked
"Nope" he said
"Good, i told you it was a bad idea. Looks like the moms always right" i said
"I dont care whose right im exhausted" he said
"Me to" i said and i pulled the blanket off him
"Hey" he whinned and i rolled my eyes at him
The next morning i got up and made breakfast, everyone was asleep and it was quiet. Just the way i like it in the morning. I was making myself a cup off coffee when all of a sudden Micah runs out to me freaking out.
"Mommy!" he said
"What?!" i said
"Theres a noise outside my window, someones trying to get in!" he said crying
"No hunny thats not true, it was probably a bird or somthing. Relax its fine" i said picking him up and hugging him
"Whats going on!?" Alex said walking in the room
"Hes scared, that movie like tramatized him" i said
"Ughhhhhhh" Alex groand and sat down at the table and dropped his head on it
"Jacks here!" i heard Jack say
"Hi?" i said confused
"Whats up?" he said walking in the kitchen
"Nothing, how'd you get in here?" Alex asked
"I no where the spare key is" he said
"Oooh" Alex said
"Yep, whats wrong Micah?" Jack asked
"Hes scared, hes afraid of the stupid movie" i said
"Oh" he said
"Yeah tell him its just a movie" i said
"But isnt it based on true facts?" Jack said
"What!?" Micah said
"No that wasnt halloween that was the texas chainsaw massacre" Jack said
"Mommy?" Micah said looking at me scared
"Way to go Jack" i said and he shrugged
"Sorry?" he said
"Uncle Jacks a liar, all scary movies are fake" i said
"Yeah and if you ever run into a monster just think, if it bleeds you can kill it" Jack said
"Okay how about we dont ever listen to uncle Jack okay?" i said
"Hey!" Jack said
Later that day i went to my moms to see her, i havnt really spent much time with her without the kids so that was the plan. I got to her house and walked in and she and my grandma were talking.
"Hi mom, grandma" i said
"Hi hunny where is the rest of the family" my mom said
"I needed to get away, home is stressful" i said
"What happened?" my mom asked
"Micahs been waking me and Alex up every night this week, Alex and Jack let him watch halloween with them and hes freaked out. Having nightmares and stuff" i said
"Bound to happen at some point, kids have over active imaginations. Its natural" she said
"Me and Alex are sick of it though!, how do we stop it?" i said
"Night light is how we got you to sleep peacefully" she said
"Worth a try" i said
After i left my moms house i went to target to get a night light, i really hope this works. Later that night when it was time for the twins to go to bed i went in after Alex put them to bed so i could set up the night light.
"Mommy can i sleep with you and daddy?" Micah asked me sitting up
"No you have to sleep in your own bed tonight baby, sorry" i said to him
"But mommy what about the monsters?" he said
"Their not real, besides this light will protect you guys from anything bad" i said
"Really?" he asked me
"Mhmm" i said
"Okay" he said laying down
That night was the first night that Micah didnt bother us at all. Im so glad i brought that night light, it totally worked!. The next morning i woke up and Alex was staring at the ceiling.
"Hey" i said
"Hey" he said and he kissed me
"How'd you sleep?" i asked him
"Perfect, you?" he said
"Good" i said
"I cant believe Micah didnt wake us" he said
"Yep" i said
"Mommy, daddy i did it!. I slept by myself" Micah said walking in our room
"I know you did good job" Alex said as Micah jumped on him
"The light worked right?" i asked him
"Yep" Micah said happily

Ahhhh sorry its so late haha, i was so distracted because the hurricane hit my area really hard. Not as hard as jersey but still like massive flooding. And i was living with other people for a while, then i was just distracted by my other storys after i finally got to come home. And yeah its just been stressful, but im back. And i got a macbook for christmas which works better then my other laptop. So i'll try to update more :). Sorry for the delay and the boringness of this chapter i have writers block hah!.
