The Future is Now

Alex's POV:
After Sophie fell asleep i called my cousin Lyn and invited her and her boyfriend Ethan to go paintballing, of course she said yes. Shes always been the sportiest of all of my cousins. The next day i took the twins to school and i got a text on my way out of the school, it was Jack giving me the info on the paintballing. I picked up Lyn and Ethan at 12 and we went to meet everyone. When we got there we were the last to arrive.

"Hey" i said

"Alex!" Jack said

"Jack!" i laughed

"Sweet you brought people!, i brought Melinda, Rian brought his sister and cousin Max, and Zack brought Ashlees brother Kevin and his friend Tyler!" he said

"Nice!, i brought my cousin Lyn and her boyfriend Ethan. You remember Lyn right?, the girl who beat you up when we were 14 for looking down her shirt" i said

"Oh yeah" he said

"Hi Jack" Lyn said

"Shes gonna get you dude!" Rian laughed

"Shut up!" Jack said

"Alright enought girls, lets do this!" i said

We got our guns and masks and went out to the field. Right away Lyn went after Jack, it was pretty funny watching him get chased by a girl. I just shot at whoever i saw and missed most people. Halfway through i had successfully avoided getting hit, which was pretty amazing i think. Just when i thought i was invincible i got shot in the foot and fell.

"I got him!" Melinda said shooting at me again

"Damnit! oww" i said

"Get up dont be a girl its just paint" she said

"Haha Alex finally got shot! hah-" Jack said running past me and i shot him in the leg

"Hah!" i said getting up

"Now your gonna be limping, hah!" Melinda said

"Shut up" i said and shot at her as i limped away

"Nice messed up foot" Zack said sitting behing a wall

"Protect me, im injured!" i said sitting with him

"No hidding!" Lyn said and shot us

"Ow" i said and shot her in the chest

"Owww my boob" she said and Tyler came by and shot us

"Im like a target now, damnit" i said

"Yeah to bad" Tyler said

"Im making a run for it, come on Zack!" i said and we got up and ran across the field and got shot at from every direction

"Wrong move" Rian said and shot me and i fell again

"Man down!, quit falling dude!" Zack said laughing

"How are you wearing shorts?!" i said to Rian, he was the only one not wearing jeans. Crazy

"I dont no, i just am!" Rian said and shot me

"Your on your own" Zack said leaving me behind and i whinned

"Zack!, you know the saying. No man left behind!" i said sitting up

"To bad dude" he said running and Rian shot me and i shot him in the legs

"Owww! dude!" Rian said

We continued for a hour and then left. I made Lyn drive home since my foot hurt, and plus i just didnt wanna drive. We ended up in traffic which was horrible, it was like a dead stop. When we finally got home i was exhausted. We all sat on the back deck and i called my mom, i wanted her to pick up Casey and Micah. After the phone wrang she answered.

"Hello?" she said

"Mommy?" i said like a child

"Whats going on Alex" she said

"I need you to pick up the twins, please?" i said

"Why cant you" she said

"I went paintballing, im hurt" i whinned

"Alex why would you go and do somthing stupid like that!?" she yelled at me

"Because it was fun. Plus it was Jacks idea" i said

"That explains it. Yeah i'll get them" she said

"Thanks" i said and hung up

We went back inside and watched tv, i laid on the floor staring at the ceiling. Im never going paintballing again its to painful. While i was lying there the door opened, my mom and the twins walked in. My mom glared at me and had the twins go play, i knew she was gonna lecture me or somthing. She always hated when i did things that injured me.

"How you guys feeling?" she asked

"Good" Lyn and Ethan said

"Owwie?" i said

"Wheres it hurt the most" my mom said kneeling down

"Here" i said pointing to my stomach

"Aww poor baby" she said and pushed her thumb on the area

"Oww!" i said

"Lets see the damage shall we, i swear Alexander you do the stupid-...woah" she said lifting my shirt

"Hmmm?" i said

"Nice giant bruise" she said

"Damn" i said looking at my stomach

"I think thats from when Zack fell on you" Lyn said and my mom glared at me again

"Alex!, you need to be carfull!. Your lucky nothings broken" she said

"Mhm" i said

A little while later my mom left and took Lyn and Ethan home, leaving me with Micah and Casey. Lucky for me they just sat and watched tv so they wernt bothering me. I got a text from Jack saying we needed to make paintball a weekly thing, i internally whinned and texted back no. Later at around 6 Sophie came home.

"Hey babe" she said sitting on the couch

"Hi" i said

"Did you have fun today?" she asked

"Yep" i said lifting my shirt

"What happened!?" she said

"Zack fell on me" i said

"Damn, any other injurys?" she asked

"Not really. But when it ended it ended because Jack broke his nose" i said

"Woah, so you guys all were out for blood i guess, am i right?" she laughed

"Mhm" i said
