I Can Keep a Secret

Alexs POV:
The next day i got up and showered, it was super quiet probably because Jack sleeps late as hell. I decided to go hangout with Amberlyn at work since i had nothing to do today. I grabbed a banana and left Jack a note and went to see Amberlyn.

"Hey" i said walking in

"Hi" she said folding a shirt

"Whats up?" i asked

"Nothing just doing inventory, you?" she said

"Came to see you" i said

"Aww sweet, and i could use your height to my advantage!" she said, i am taller then her i'll admit. Shes like 5'2 in like 6ft

"Really?, how so?" i asked

"I need you to put these on that rack" she said handing me some shirts and pointing to high rack

"Dont you have a ladder or something?" i asked

"Nope, not yet we get that on friday" she said

"Oh, alright" i said and went and hung up the shirts for her

"Sweet your brothers friend is here, you think he'll clean that window?" a girl said walking out from the back

"I dont know, Alex wanna wash a window?" Amberlyn said pointing at the stain on a high area of the window outside

"Sure" i said

"Here. Im Layla by the way" the girl known as Layla said walking over and handing me a bottle and a squeegee

"Layla, right. Alex" i said and she nodded and walked away

"Thanks Gaskarth your the best" Amberlyn said

"Anytime little Barakat, by the way you should get someone tall to work here" i said

"Hmmm...nah, i got you" she said and i laughed and went outside to clean the window

After i cleaned the window Amberlyn had me do other jobs that required you to reach high. I guess she was saving those for when the ladder got in. After i finished everything i leaned on the counter.

"Done!" i said

"Good" she said

"That was alot of stuff!" i said

"I know right!?, thanks for hanging all those clothes" she said

"Of course anything for my lady" i said kissing her

"Oh damn you two are dating?!" Layla said

"Mhmm, Jack doesnt know though so shhh!" Amberlyn said

"Okay" she said

"Anything else i need to do for you?, im yours today" i said

"Sounds amazing, less work for us!. Uhmm...lets see...push those tables over there to the other side of the room. After those girls are done thought obviously" Amberlyn said

"Alright" i said

"Your seriously the best Alex!" she said writing stuff down

"Thank you!" i said

"Mhm" she said and i went and moved the tables for her

Those tables would have weighed like 500 pounds if they wernt on wheels, they were seriously so freaking heavy!. I got my exercise for the month just by pushing the damn things. After i moved the tables she had me stack boxes in her office, after i finished that i went back to the counter.

"I dont know how you two do it!" i said

"Its hard right!?" she said

"Totally, i can't feel my arms" i said

"Yeah well thats how i feel all the time" she said

"I could never do this!" i said

"Good thing you never have to" she said as Layla unpacked a box and handed her stuff

"I need like water or coffee or red bull. Im exhausted!" i said

"Yeah its tiring, your done today" she said

"Thank god!, who wants coffee im buying!" i said

"Nahhh" she said

"Well fine then i will go get some sugary goodness for myself" i said

"Fine. But Alex its like 90 degrees outside, go for the iced coffee" she said

"True. Mmm now im craving it i'll be back" i said

"You like a pregnant lady" Layla said making Amberlyn laugh and i flipped them off and left the store

I went next door to the dunkin donuts to get a iced coffee, those things are like liquified crack!. I sat outside on a bench and drank my lovely cofee and read some tweets from my phone, i think it counts as my break even though im done working. Later after i returned i was sitting on the counter spraying random perfumes and Jack walked in.

"Hey Alex" he said

"Hi" i said

"Finding your new scent?" he asked

"Nope just smelling them" i said

"Nice. So wheres my little sister?" he asked

"She went to the back to get some boxes" i said

"Oh" he said and i nodded and sprayed him with some perfume and he punched me in the leg

"Oopsies?" i said

"Thats terrible, that smells like flowered vomit" he said coughing, it did smell really weird

"Sorry" i said

"Damn Alex i leave you alone for like two minutes and you ruin stuff?" Amberlyn said walking back

"No. Just sprayed Jack with perfume" i said leaning down into the glass case where the perfumes are kept in the counter

"Ohhh, okay well whats up Jack?" she said

"I wanna know if i can set you up on a date?" he said and i slipped off the counter

"Ow" i said

"You alright there sunshine?" Amberlyn asked leaning over the counter

"Mhmm" i said getting up

"Okay" she said

"Sooo...?" Jack said trailing off

"I...no" she said

"Why not?!" he said

"Because im not interested in whoever he is" she said

"You might be!, give me a better reason!" he said

"Im taken" she said

"By who!?, i didnt know you were dating!" he said

"A guy, hes really sweet" she said

"Well i wanna meet him" he said

"But-" she started and he cut her off

"Invite him over tonight so we can all meet and or question him" he said

"Fine" she said

"Good. See you later, Alex no more counters for you" he said and left

"What are we gonna do?!" i said

"Well, i guess we'll just have to tell him or something" she said

"Damm, your totally right" i said
