What Is Going on Here?

A few weeks had past and I began to realize how much I was falling for Brian. I loved him. He was everything I ever wanted, but something told me that it wasn’t right to be with him. Something told me that I should be with someone else, and I think I know who that someone is. Zacky. The way he has been looking at me and the way I’ve been looking at him these past couple weeks have been different. I really want to be with him, but I love Brian. Does that even make since? Why did this have to happen? I just hope I figure something out.
“Hey.” Zacky said walking over to me.
I smiled.
“Hey.”
“Why are you over here all by yourself?” He asked.
“I was thinking.”
“Oh, about that hunk Brian of yours?”
I laughed.
“Sort of.”
“Well we just finished up the meeting and were going out for drinks, Brian told me to come get you.”
“Ok. Let’s go.”
We left and went to a bar.
Brain took a sip of his beer and then looked at me and smiled.
I smiled back.
“What’s up with you today? You seem so distant.” He said.
“Just a lot on my mind.”
“Well let’s just drink so you can get your mind off things.”
“Let’s”
A couple hours later I was pretty drunk. Brian was talking to Johnny about something and Rebekah was with Matt so I was by myself. Zacky came walking toward me smiling.
“All alone again?” He said.
“Well that’s a shame. How could someone leave a pretty girl like yourself?”
I laughed.
“You’re drunk Zack.”
“Your point? You are too.”
“Yeah you’re right.”
“Oh so you don’t want to talk to me because I’m drunk.”
“No Its just… I don’t know. I just have had a lot of things on my mind lately. I think I’m going to go home and get some rest.”
“Ok. See ya tomorrow.”
I went and told Brian I was leaving. He insisted on coming with me but I told him I just wanted to go home and sleep so he let me leave.
The next day I woke up with an atrocious headache. I took some Tylenol and then went and took a shower. I called Brian and he must have still been asleep because he didn’t seem too happy when he answered the phone. He said he would be over in few.
I got dressed and started breakfast. I was starving so I’m sure he was too.
I heard a knock at the door and I went to open it. I figured it was Brian but instead it was Matt. He had a bad expression on his face.
“Come in. What’s wrong?” I asked.
“It’s Rebekah. I don’t know what happened. She started saying off the wall things. I just figured it was because she was drunk, but this morning when she came into the living room she was so pale and then…”
“Then she fainted?” I asked.
He gave me a weird look.
“How did you know?”
“She used to have those spells all the time. She will be fine, but you took her to a hospital right?”
“Yeah.”
“Ok. Well I will go see her in a bit. Thanks for telling me.”
“You’re welcome.”
He left. Brian called and said he wouldn’t be able to make I until later. So I finished cooking breakfast, grabbed me a plate and sat down on the couch. I heard a knock on the door.
“I thought you said you weren’t coming ‘til later.” I said as I opened the door.
“Expecting someone else.” Zacky said.
“Yeah.”
He laughed.
“Well come in. There’s breakfast. I made enough for two but Brian said he got held up.”
“Sucks for him, I’m starving.”
He got a plate and he sat down on the couch beside me.
“You know you want him.” The voice in my head said.
“Hush.”
“You know you want him.” The voice kept repeating.
I knew the voice in my head was true. I did want him, and before I realized what I was doing our lips touched and I was kissing Zacky.
He didn’t pull away and neither did I. I knew it was wrong but I just felt so right. He pushed me down so that he was on top of me. The kiss got heavier. I just went with every move. Then reality set in and he got up. We sat in silence for a couple of minutes trying to take in what had just happened. I don’t know if Zacky felt what I felt but I think he felt something.
“Well that was…” He said breaking the silence.
“Yeah.”
“So do you just want to agree that this never happened?”
“Yeah that sounds good.”
“Ok. It’s a plan.”
He got up and smiled.
“Well I’m going to head out.”
“Yeah me too. I need to go see Rebekah at the hospital.”
“Well I’m sure ill see you later.” He said.
“Yeah. I’m sure you will.” I said smiling.
He smiled back and then we both left.
