So Hard to Say

I never thought I'd lose you. I never thought I'd have to figure out my life without you. I always thought I'd have enough time to tell you those words I never said. Sometimes life has other plans, though, and we don't have time to brace ourselves for what life throws at us. I wonder now, why was it so hard to say?
