Augustine Leffer is known as the lonely, depressed kid in her Vegas highschool. She lost her mother 2 years ago and is still mourning over her death. Her father, Dean, moved on and is now with Michelle Green - Maxwell Scott Green's mother. Max is the arrogant, cocky type and doesn't want anything to do with Augustine, let alone tell the whole school that the saddest kid there is his little sister.
It's 2 months before Max's 18th birthday, and 2 months before he moves out. Augustine is looking forward to his departure, until the incidents that change Augustine's mind completely.
