“WHOOOOO!!!” Dylan screamed as he finished chugging the bottle of beer in his hand. “THE WEEK BEFORE GRADUATION!”
“You already graduated!” Steve exclaimed. “Last year!”
“Yeah but now I’m officially out of high school for good” Dylan explained. “So I have the right to PPPAAAAAAARRRTTAAAAAHH!!” he jumped up and down to the music. Steve couldn’t help but giggle.
Kaya came by his side and hugged him. “Hey hot stuff” she said. “One year today” he kissed her.
“The best year of my life” Christian brought Kaya and Steve some classic red cups. “To another year” he toasted.
“you guys are so perfect together” Christian said. “I hope you have many years in front of you” Kaya and Steve smiled at each other.
Jill sat on the bank of the river with her third red cup. “Whoa slow down speed racer” Alice said as she walked over. “Graduation’s in a week, don’t wanna ruin your pretty little face”
Jill smiled for a moment but it faded. “I’ll be fine”
“So, where are you going for college?”
“WSU” she said. “You?”
“Northeastern” she said.
“Oh cool”
“Hey, I just want to apologize for the party awhile ago. I didn’t know what to say”

“If your confused it’s okay”
“I’m not confused” Jill said. “Not anymore” Jill finished her drink. Alice gave Jill her drink and left. Jill chugged all of Alice’s cup.
Jayden and Kaya were standing behind a tree a few feet from Jill. “Should we say something?” Jayden asked. “She looks pretty down”
“I don’t know, she did make a huge fool of herself in front of Zack and the whole school”
“Which gives us more of a reason to talk to her” Jayden whispered. Kaya shook her head.
“As much as I want to make her feel better, she’s been on Steve all year. She’s on her own” Kaya walked away. Jayden followed her. “I can’t wait until we get out of here. I’ll never have to see her face again”
“Thank god” Jayden said. “You and Me at RIC, no one will stop us now” Kaya put her arm around Jayden.

“After senior semi” Steve said. “It was pretty awkward at first, she said it hurt…but then we did it and it was awesome!”
“Yeah the look on Jayden’s face explained it all. But she didn’t tell me to stop so…yeah”

Jill tripped on a tree stump and fell to the ground, dropping the six red cups she had collected so far. She smiled, she got to her feet and threw the cups out. She looked around at all the seniors.
“Oh god I’m trashed” she crawled on the ground and tried to make her way through the bushes to get the fuck out of there. She hated being drunk, she told herself she would never be drunk again but she’s not learning.
She found her purse and her hoodie and then her eyes fell onto Steve. She just couldn’t help it, he’s gorgeous and she’s gorgeous. How are they not perfect for each other? Kaya is the only thing standing in her way.
Jill got to her feet. She wasn’t leaving without even trying to get Steve. She tried with Zack and accepted defeat, at least should try with Steve for a new beginning.
She started to stumble and trip over herself to get over to him. “Hey Steve’ she said in a flirty tone.
“Hey Jill”
“Having fun?” she aksed.
“Yeah definitely. Are you?”
“Yeah, now I am” Steve was feeling a bit uneasy about this. Kaya hated Jill.
“So, are you all set for graduation?” Jill smirked.
“Yup. I’m going to WSU this fall”

From a distance, Kaya was crushing her red cup. Jayden had to take it away from her. “Relax” she told her. “Trust”
“I do trust Steve, I trust him with my life. It’s just I don’t trust that bitch Jill”
“I know I know it’s hard” Jayden started. “But we can’t protect them from everything. This fall your going to Northeastern which is an hour away while Steve’s staying here to go to WSU. You need to be confident he will know what to do around other girls”
“Ok maybe you have a point” they watched the interaction between Steve and Jill for a little longer. Jill moved in a little closer, Steve took a step back but he tripped and almost fell into the river, but Jill caught him.
“Thanks” he said. “My girlfriend would not appreciate having a wet guy in her car” they laughed. “I’m really looking forward the college this fall and the life, so I’ll be excited to see—“ Jill leaned in and tried to kiss him but Steve pulled himself away and fell back into the river.
“Oh fuck no!” Jayden exclaimed. Kaya gave her a weird look. “Ok, now I give you permission to go over there” Kaya smiled.
“Thank you” Kaya marched over there with every intention of kicking Jill’s ass. “Excuse me” Kaya started. “Do you realize Steve here has a loving girlfriend, and she doesn’t appreciate it when other girls try to kiss him?” she asked her.
“I’m just so sick of all of these pathetic little girls being with men. I’m a woman I know what Steve wants a little bit more”
“How do you know? You’ve been rejected by Zack more times than I can count on two hands. Your life’s basically falling apart before my eyes and I love it because I should have never…EVER, become your friend last year” Jill punched Kaya in the face.
“Oh god” Steve got out of the river finally and tried to split the two girls up but Kaya was not having it. She punched Jill back and hard because Jill fell over and hit her head against a stump of a tree.
Jill didn’t stop though, she pulled Kaya down on the ground with her.
“Steven do something!” Jayden exclaimed. Steve pulled Kaya right off of Jill. It was like two cats fighting, they just wanted to get right at each other and even the sure humiliation of being those two caddy girls wouldn’t stop them.
“Kaya, stop” He told her. She calmed down. “Fighting is not going to make everything better”
“Can we go now?” Kaya asked.
“Yeah, just let me say goodbye to a few people first” Steve kissed Kaya. “I will always love you, I hope you know that”
“I do” Jill was watching the little interaction between them. In her eyes it just wasn’t fair.
Kaya started to head to where they parked, which was in the heart of the cemetery. At midnight in a cemetery? Not the best place to be.
“I should have walked with Kaya” Jayden said. Brandon kept kissing down her thighs.
“Relax” he told her. “She’s fine” he smiled then kissed her lips.
“I know it’s just—this is the second fight Kaya has been in with Jill. I don’t think it ends”
“You are just crazy” he held her face in his hands and kissed her again.
“Well I’m sorry if I can’t have sex in a cemetery next to a grave” Jayden touched the stone grave next to her. “It’s disrespectful” Brandon rolled his eyes.
“Come on” he helped Jayden to her feet. “What else can we do?”

Kaya leaned against her car waiting for Steve. He said he had a few people, not a whole colony.
She loved him a lot, like so much she would marry him on the spot if he asked. It’s just, all the other girls in their way. She’s never had a boyfriend before so it’s hard to understand how to deal with other girls talking to him. Even worst, Steve’s one of the hottest guys in their grade. To the sluts he’s fair game. Kaya’s not anything extraordinary.
Jill started to walk over. Not in a way she would apologize to her.
“Jill” Kaya said. Her heart started to race. There was no one around to stop the fight this time.
“This is why I love parties at the cemetery” Jill started. Her hair was ruffled, she looked like a psychotic mess. “No one can hear you scream”
“What?” Jill got a little closer. “You are crazy if you think you’re going to hurt me. Steve will kill you if you even thought about it”
“You’re pretty confident in your relationship aren’t you?”
“Yeah, we’ve been dating for a year now. How long has it been since you lost your chance at him?”
“You might be a minor step back. But when your at Northeastern and I’m at WSU with Steve all day long. You’ll think other wise”
Like Jayden said, Kaya was confident in Steve and their relationship. But the fact that Steve and Jill were going to the same school is kind of sketchy and not okay. So she didn’t respond.
“I can’t wait to get in his pants. I heard you fucked him after senior semi. I heard it wasn’t that great. I’ll make it the time of his life”
And now Kaya lost it. Kaya punched her in the face, and it had to have been the greatest moment of her life when her nose spurted blood.
“Now I know why Steve finds fighting so exhilarating” Kaya said. Jill got up and pulled at Kaya’s hair. They had to have dragged each other around for ever. Eventually Jill tripped and dragged them both down a hill. When they landed at the bottom, they were both had cuts and bruises.
Kaya was a little worn out but Jill was more than determined. They got up and kept rumbling around. Eventually they got close enough to the river that Jill almost drowned Kaya. Then Kaya got back and threw her against a rock, which no doubt broke Jill’s upper arm bone.
They kept going at it. In the end Jill got above Kaya and hit Kaya as hard as she could with a big rock, basically leaving Kaya unconscious.
When Jill didn’t move she realize the severity of what she had done. She got up and ran, she kept running and didn’t stop until she was out of the cemetery.

“This is why I’m going to miss you man” Steve hugged Dylan one more time.
“I can’t believe were splitting off like this” Dylan said. “While I’m at QCC you’ll be at WSU”
“Dude, there like right next to each other”
“But the parties man! Nothing will ever compare to high school parties”
“I think you’re wrong but okay” Steve and Dylan got to Kaya’s car. “Uh” he said. “Where’s Kaya?” he asked. They looked around the car and everywhere. It’s a big open cemetery so you can’t really miss anyone living.

Liv thought about it. And as she was rejected by two people that year, she didn’t want to end things on terrible terms
She walked over to Taylor. “Hey” she started.
“What is it?” he asked. “I’m not in the mood”
“I’m sorry, I know I’ve been a massive ‘headfuck’ as you guys call it. But it’s just…I don’t want to end things on bad terms with you. I want to be able to talk to you like before all of this happened”

“I’m sorry for being a total dick this year, you deserved better” Taylor hugged her.

“You hve nothing to be sorry for, it’s been terrible for both of us. Just accept my apology”

“Thanks”
“I just want to put this year behind us” he inhaled. “And get ready for the best years of our lives”

“Ok, Christian truth or dare” someone told him.

Steve ran in the middle of the circle everyone had set up. “Guys Kaya’s missing!” he exclaimed.
“What do you mean missing?” Jayden asked. “she went to her car”
“She’s not there. It’s kind of hard to miss someone” Brandon looked around the party. 20 people were there and he knew each one of them by name.
“Jill, where’s Jill?” he asked.
“Oh fuck” Steve said. “What if there fighting somewhere?”
“I doubt it I saw Jill leave” someone said.
“When?”
“Like ten minutes ago”
“So where’s Kaya?”
“Come on let’s split up, she couldn’t have gone far”

“I can’t believe we are doing this” Liv said. “Why would Kaya run away?”
“I have a bad feeling about this” Dylan said. they wandered around the cemetery but didn’t find anything. “If she were to leave she would take her car, right?” Liv nodded.
“Yet again the roads here aren’t that big, it might be easier to go on foot” Steve said. “Wherever she would go”
“Yeah, there’s no stores around, it’s just the school and rite aid up the street” Taylor said
“So where would she go?” Liv asked. They all shrugged.
“And that’s why I have a bad feeling about this”

Jayden and Brandon were alone when they were searching. They covered the woods, the woods that no one went to because well…it was really creepy.
They kept wandering around and made their way back to Kaya’s car.
“If I were a moody, angry teenager where would I go?” Brandon looked under the car to see if anything was broken. He saw her keys.
“Oh god” Brandon grabbed them. “Do you think she was kidnapped?” Jayden thought about it and it could be true, but it was kind of impossible at the same time.
“No way, Kaya’s really tough there would be blood somewhere. She would never go down without a hard fight”
“Good point, so where is she?” Jayden shrugged. Brandon looked around the car. “Hey look, the grass” Jayden looked at it.
“Looks like a clue to me” Jayden and Brandon followed the indentations in the grass, they went all the way down the hill, and then they saw blood.
“Oh my god” Jayden said.
“Looks like she put up a very good fight, but there’s too much for one person. Wherever she is she’s losing blood fast” they followed the blood to the river, the grass was tall so it was kind of hard to see but they kept going and they saw Kaya’s lifeless body.
“OH NO!” Jayden freaked out. Brandon couldn’t help but throw up. Jayden quickly called 911.

Steve and the others who went looking for Kaya all met back in the heart of the cemetery.
“No ones got anything” Dylan said. “And it’s getting late, I can hear the cops now”
Steve listened a little closer. “That sounds like a lot of cops” he said. Jayden called him. “Hey Jay what’s up—oh my god, I’m on my way” he hung up. “They found her, but she’s unconscious”
“Oh my god, oh my god” Dylan was freaking out and pacing back and forth.
“The ambulance and cops are on their way, get everyone out of here” Christian nodded.
“Come on let’s clean up!”
Steve and Dylan ran through the woods to where Jayden told them to go, by the time they got there the paramedics were just catching up with them.
“She still has a pulse” one of the paramedics said. “But it’s faint”
“Head trauma, were looking at a severe concussion” the cops finally got there.
“What do you have?” one of the officers asked.
“Severe head trauma” one cop pointed to a big rock with blood on it. “This one, sir” he said.
“Bag it and take it in for print search”
Another officer came into the woods, it was Kaya’s dad. “Steven?” he asked. “Jayden?”
“Oh god” Steve said.
“Mr. Thorne” Jayden said. But her father saw the accident because she could say something. “I don’t know what happened.” She said. “We were at this party…”
“In the cemetery?” Mr. Thorne asked. He couldn’t even process what he was hearing.
The paramedics were getting Kaya on a stretcher. “Steven, you love that girl more than I know, you go with her”
“Are you sure?” he asked.
“Jayden and I need to find who’s responsible for all this” Jayden nodded. “I want every kid in the vicinity brought in to the station to be questioned”
“Sure” Steve called Dylan. “Hey, get everyone back down here, it’s important” Steve looked at her body.

Steve got in the ambulance with Kaya and the paramedics, they were doing a lot and there was blood everywhere. It was really scary. In fact Steve kind of wished Mr. Thorne was mad at him, Steve always promised nothing bad would ever happen to her, he’s been right all the times for the past year expect this one time. Why wasn’t he mad?
Everyone at the party was being questioned.
“Well, Kaya said she was leaving with Steve. She took the keys and she was going to leave, she went to her car I think I didn’t see her leave. Steve was saying bye to a few friends before he left, he was out of her sight for at least ten minutes maybe a bit more”
“Why was she alone so long?”
“Well…she got in a fight with this girl over Steve so she needed some time alone in my opinion”
“Who is this girl?” a different officer asked?
“Jillian Steinfield” Brandon said. “Speaking of Jill, when did she leave?” he asked Christian.
“Around the same time Kaya did I guess” he said.
“she’s the only one who’s missing”
Jayden clicked. Jill and Kaya were fighting the whole night and then she disappears randomly. It was her.
“Well when we have the prints checked then we can know for sure” a different officer asked.
Brandon gave Mr. Thorne her keys. “She was definitely attacked we saw these under her car”
“And you say this Jill girl left before Kaya?”
“I think so” Dylan said. “We didn’t know when Kaya went missing so it could be that Jill left before or after Kaya disappeared”
“Well we need to talk to this Jill girl sooner or later and find out what she knows” Jayden was going to find her first and kill her first.

Meanwhile, Steve was still in the ambulance. “We’re losing a pulse” Steve was not freaked out by all of this until the paramedic said that.
“She’s losing too much blood too fast” another one said.
“She’s suffered a massive head trauma” something started to beep, and then she was spouting blood and Steve had no idea what to think.
“We’re losing her” another one said.
“We need to stabilize her”
“It’s not going to happen’
“What do you mean it’s not going to happen?” Steve asked. “Do something?” this machine beeped like crazy.
“T.O.D” one of the paramedics asked.
“2:58 AM, June 2, 2013” and in that moment, Steve knew she was dead.

Kaya was a little worn out but Jill was more than determined. They got up and kept rumbling around. Eventually they got close enough to the river that Jill almost drowned Kaya. Then Kaya got back and threw her against a rock, which no doubt broke Jill’s upper arm bone.
They kept going at it. In the end Jill got above Kaya and hit Kaya as hard as she could with a big rock, basically leaving Kaya unconscious.
When Jill didn’t move she realize the severity of what she had done. She got up and ran, she kept running and didn’t stop until she was out of the cemetery.

“This is why I’m going to miss you man” Steve hugged Dylan one more time.
“I can’t believe were splitting off like this” Dylan said. “While I’m at QCC you’ll be at WSU”
“Dude, there like right next to each other”
“But the parties man! Nothing will ever compare to high school parties”
“I think you’re wrong but okay” Steve and Dylan got to Kaya’s car. “Uh” he said. “Where’s Kaya?” he asked. They looked around the car and everywhere. It’s a big open cemetery so you can’t really miss anyone living.

Liv thought about it. And as she was rejected by two people that year, she didn’t want to end things on terrible terms
She walked over to Taylor. “Hey” she started.
“What is it?” he asked. “I’m not in the mood”
“I’m sorry, I know I’ve been a massive ‘headfuck’ as you guys call it. But it’s just…I don’t want to end things on bad terms with you. I want to be able to talk to you like before all of this happened”
Taylor smiled. “So what are you saying?”
“I’m sorry for being a total dick this year, you deserved better” Taylor hugged her.
“And I’m sorry for…well I don’t know what to be sorry for”
“You hve nothing to be sorry for, it’s been terrible for both of us. Just accept my apology”
“Of course I accept it” Liv smiled.
“Thanks”
“I just want to put this year behind us” he inhaled. “And get ready for the best years of our lives”

“Ok, Christian truth or dare” someone told him.
“Hmm, dare”
“Take off all your clothes and play dizzy bat with your dick!” someone randomly exclaimed.
“Uh, sure” just when he was about to take off his clothes everyone stopped him because no one wants to see that.
Steve ran in the middle of the circle everyone had set up. “Guys Kaya’s missing!” he exclaimed.
“What do you mean missing?” Jayden asked. “she went to her car”
“She’s not there. It’s kind of hard to miss someone” Brandon looked around the party. 20 people were there and he knew each one of them by name.
“Jill, where’s Jill?” he asked.
“Oh fuck” Steve said. “What if there fighting somewhere?”
“I doubt it I saw Jill leave” someone said.
“When?”
“Like ten minutes ago”
“So where’s Kaya?”
“Come on let’s split up, she couldn’t have gone far”

“I can’t believe we are doing this” Liv said. “Why would Kaya run away?”
“I have a bad feeling about this” Dylan said. they wandered around the cemetery but didn’t find anything. “If she were to leave she would take her car, right?” Liv nodded.
“Yet again the roads here aren’t that big, it might be easier to go on foot” Steve said. “Wherever she would go”
“Yeah, there’s no stores around, it’s just the school and rite aid up the street” Taylor said
“So where would she go?” Liv asked. They all shrugged.
“And that’s why I have a bad feeling about this”
“We all do”

Jayden and Brandon were alone when they were searching. They covered the woods, the woods that no one went to because well…it was really creepy.
They kept wandering around and made their way back to Kaya’s car.
“If I were a moody, angry teenager where would I go?” Brandon looked under the car to see if anything was broken. He saw her keys.
“Oh god” Brandon grabbed them. “Do you think she was kidnapped?” Jayden thought about it and it could be true, but it was kind of impossible at the same time.
“No way, Kaya’s really tough there would be blood somewhere. She would never go down without a hard fight”
“Good point, so where is she?” Jayden shrugged. Brandon looked around the car. “Hey look, the grass” Jayden looked at it.
“Looks like a clue to me” Jayden and Brandon followed the indentations in the grass, they went all the way down the hill, and then they saw blood.
“Oh my god” Jayden said.
“Looks like she put up a very good fight, but there’s too much for one person. Wherever she is she’s losing blood fast” they followed the blood to the river, the grass was tall so it was kind of hard to see but they kept going and they saw Kaya’s lifeless body.
“OH NO!” Jayden freaked out. Brandon couldn’t help but throw up. Jayden quickly called 911.

Steve and the others who went looking for Kaya all met back in the heart of the cemetery.
“No ones got anything” Dylan said. “And it’s getting late, I can hear the cops now”
Steve listened a little closer. “That sounds like a lot of cops” he said. Jayden called him. “Hey Jay what’s up—oh my god, I’m on my way” he hung up. “They found her, but she’s unconscious”
“Oh my god, oh my god” Dylan was freaking out and pacing back and forth.
“The ambulance and cops are on their way, get everyone out of here” Christian nodded.
“Come on let’s clean up!”
Steve and Dylan ran through the woods to where Jayden told them to go, by the time they got there the paramedics were just catching up with them.
“She still has a pulse” one of the paramedics said. “But it’s faint”
“Head trauma, were looking at a severe concussion” the cops finally got there.
“What do you have?” one of the officers asked.
“Severe head trauma” one cop pointed to a big rock with blood on it. “This one, sir” he said.
“Bag it and take it in for print search”
Another officer came into the woods, it was Kaya’s dad. “Steven?” he asked. “Jayden?”
“Oh god” Steve said.
“Mr. Thorne” Jayden said. But her father saw the accident because she could say something. “I don’t know what happened.” She said. “We were at this party…”
“In the cemetery?” Mr. Thorne asked. He couldn’t even process what he was hearing.
The paramedics were getting Kaya on a stretcher. “Steven, you love that girl more than I know, you go with her”
“Are you sure?” he asked.
“Jayden and I need to find who’s responsible for all this” Jayden nodded. “I want every kid in the vicinity brought in to the station to be questioned”
“Sure” Steve called Dylan. “Hey, get everyone back down here, it’s important” Steve looked at her body.

Steve got in the ambulance with Kaya and the paramedics, they were doing a lot and there was blood everywhere. It was really scary. In fact Steve kind of wished Mr. Thorne was mad at him, Steve always promised nothing bad would ever happen to her, he’s been right all the times for the past year expect this one time. Why wasn’t he mad?
Everyone at the party was being questioned.
“Well, Kaya said she was leaving with Steve. She took the keys and she was going to leave, she went to her car I think I didn’t see her leave. Steve was saying bye to a few friends before he left, he was out of her sight for at least ten minutes maybe a bit more”
“Why was she alone so long?”
“Well…she got in a fight with this girl over Steve so she needed some time alone in my opinion”
“Who is this girl?” a different officer asked?
“Jillian Steinfield” Brandon said. “Speaking of Jill, when did she leave?” he asked Christian.
“Around the same time Kaya did I guess” he said.
“she’s the only one who’s missing”
Jayden clicked. Jill and Kaya were fighting the whole night and then she disappears randomly. It was her.
“Well when we have the prints checked then we can know for sure” a different officer asked.
Brandon gave Mr. Thorne her keys. “She was definitely attacked we saw these under her car”
“And you say this Jill girl left before Kaya?”
“I think so” Dylan said. “We didn’t know when Kaya went missing so it could be that Jill left before or after Kaya disappeared”
“Well we need to talk to this Jill girl sooner or later and find out what she knows” Jayden was going to find her first and kill her first.
…
Meanwhile, Steve was still in the ambulance. “We’re losing a pulse” Steve was not freaked out by all of this until the paramedic said that.
“She’s losing too much blood too fast” another one said.
“She’s suffered a massive head trauma” something started to beep, and then she was spouting blood and Steve had no idea what to think.
“We’re losing her” another one said.
“We need to stabilize her”
“It’s not going to happen’
“What do you mean it’s not going to happen?” Steve asked. “Do something?” this machine beeped like crazy.
“T.O.D” one of the paramedics asked.
“2:58 AM, June 2, 2013” and in that moment, Steve knew she was dead.
