Holding On To Forever

My head ached every time it slammed against my locker. Kayla’s sharp words pierced my heart, breaking it even more. I don’t care if she’s the head cheerleader at our school; it gives her no right to do this to me.

“ Nobody likes you freak,” Kayla whispered. I was feeling woozy by the time she stopped, only to see that she was talking to some scary looking guy.
“ Yeah, my band’s playing at that new restaurant tonight, you should come,” the guy said.
“I’ll see Drake, but I probably can’t,” Kayla pouted.

“It’s fine sweetie,” he said.

He stalked off and Kayla turned to me.

“What are you staring at,” Kayla snapped as she walked away.

I started to get up but it was hard. “Do you need some help,” a voice said. I looked up and saw who it was and almost fainted. Adam Hewitt; the baseball star, football star, basketball star, artist, musician, and the hottest guy in the whole school. He grabbed my hand and helped me up from the ground. “Thanks,” I murmured. He narrowed his eyebrows and looked at me suspiciously. “Are you ok?” he asked. Great, I could use another sympathetic person. I put on a huge smile. “I’m amazing,” I said cheerfully.
