Back To Square One

When two people break up, people always go and sympathize with the person who was dumped and left behind. They always flock around that person with words of kindness, and comfort coupled with advice on how to get over that particular person. When someone leaves you behind, your beloved ones will take care of you and help you back up again. That's just how the world works. Where ever someone's in need, help will follow.

But during all those times that you notice couples breaking up and leaving memories and moments that they built to just crumble and fall behind, did anyone of you ever stopped to consider what the other person must be feeling? Did anyone of the spectators ever wondered what the one who dropped everything felt? Or where you too busy to criticize and point out that other person's flaws and shortcomings that you didn't stop for a while to visualize what their real reasons were? That at the end of the day, they're humans too and make mistakes.

In our case, Yoona was the one who left, leaving Kai to watch her retreating figure vanish into nothingness, knowing that if they ever see each other, things will never be the same again.

But what if these two see each other again after a long period of time?

What if they both realized their shortcomings and what went wrong and tried to fix it?

What if all of these times, they still harbor that love inside them, carrying it arround like an excess baggage in their hearts, preventing them to wander and explore new things and different people?

What if you get a chance to talk to that person, would you choose to let go of that baggage, or do what your hearts tells you and stay with that person again?

Would you go back to square one?
