You Were Always There To Hold My Hand

I can't believe I never told Ronnie this. He's gonna hate me.

"Thank you."

"For what?" Max asked as we drove to Ronnie and I's apartment.

I looked over to him.

"For sacrificing your friendship to protect me."

As we stopped at a red light Max looked at me.

"How could I not? You were my best friend, I'd do anything for you. I wasn't gonna hold your brother against you." He said as started to drive again.

I scoffed, "My brother. I shouldn't even call him that."

He laughed.

"Will Ronnie hate me?" I blurted out suddenly.

"Do I hate you?"

"No but........Ronnie's different. I mean, look how quickly he blew up at you after what happened. The same could happen to me."

He shook his head.

"Trust me Stace, your an exception to him."
