You're the Only One...Aren't You?

Chapter 7: "Lovestruck"

Chapter 7: "Lovestruck"
[Dahvie's P.O.V.]

Today's the day. I sighed, opening my eyes and instantly I had a huge smile on my face. There was a baby blue card standing up on my nightstand next to my bed, and I reached out and pulled it to me, turning and laying on my back to read it:

"It's magic each time we hold each other, each time we cuddle, and each time we kiss. I feel goosebumps all over again. I never want to let you go for fear of losing you, so I just hold on a little bit tighter each day, refusing to let go. You will never know the warmth I feel inside me when I'm with you. You're all I ever wanted."

I felt myself tear up a little bit as I read the card, and I couldn't stop smiling. At the bottom was Jayy's signature, and "I love you Dahvie Vanity<3". I got up and went into the kitchen to have breakfast with Andrew. Jayy was staying at Sally's today, and Andrew was staying here today, because both of them were going to help us get ready for the wedding. Andrew and I laughed and talked the whole way through breakfast, but I couldn't get Jayy out of my mind - today was going to be absolutely amazing, and I was too excited to wait. About an hour later, I finished breakfast and went to get changed into my black tuxedo quickly. It fit me perfectly, and I actually looked really good in a tuxedo - even Andrew agreed - and I went into the bathroom and brushed my teeth. It was about 10:20am now, and I went to recite my vows with Andrew one more time. "Perfect, Dahvie, just perfect," Andrew said, smiling at me, "Hey. I want you to know I'm really happy for you guys, and I know this will last. I know it's scary to get married, but Dahvie, you're 100% ready for this; you and Jayy are both ready." I nodded, and he hugged me as I said, "Thank you so much, Andrew - this really means a lot to me, and I am nervous, but I'll be all right." Andrew and I left to go to the wedding early so he could help with placement and decorations, while I stayed hidden inside the building in a backroom. Sally had marked off the rooms because she believed in the whole "can't see the groom before the wedding or it's bad luck" thing. I waited patiently for the wedding to start, and eventually Andrew came and found me, so we played video games for an hour and 30 minutes. At 11:50am, Andrew and I stopped the games and recited my vows one last time, and then the wedding started at noon. My mother walked me down the aisle slowly, towards Jayy, and I was excited and smiling the whole time - she broke from my side as I reached Jayy's, and I faced him, staring into his eyes while he stared into mine. The wedding officiant started, and minutes later it came to Jayy's part in the ceremony.

"Jayy Von Monroe, will you have this man to be your wedded husband, to love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, and forsaking all others, keep you only unto him, for so long as you both shall live?" Jayy nodded slowly, a smile spreading across his face as he said, "I do." The officiant turned to me, asking the same. I replied, my eyes never leaving Jayy's, "I do." Our wedding officiant had us take each other's hands and repeat after him, then, "I, Jayy Von Monroe, take you, Dahvie Vanity, to be my wedded husband, to have and to hold, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, to love and to cherish, from this day forward." I repeated the same, only with our names switched, and I felt myself tear up a bit. I squeezed Jayy's hands gently, and he squeezed back, slightly nodding to me in agreement - he was tearing up a little too. Andrew was standing by our sides with a pillow that carried our rings, smiling happily towards us. Jayy took one ring gently from the pillow, took my hand and slipped the ring onto my left ring finger, saying, "With this ring, I thee wed." I took the other ring from the pillow, a tear sliding down my cheek gently as I took his left hand and slid the ring onto his ring finger, and said, "With this ring...I thee wed." Jayy reached up with his right hand and gently wiped the tear from my cheek, smiling softly at me, silently telling me it would be okay. The wedding officiant stated, "Let these rings be given and received as a token of your affection, sincerity and fidelity to one another. You may read your vows, should you have any." Jayy nodded, asking, "Would you like to go first, love?" I shook my head no, replying with, "You first, babe." He pulled out a slip of paper from his pants pocket, and glanced down at it every once in a while, reading out:

"Dahvie Vanity, I love you. You are my best friend. Today I give myself to you in marriage. I promise to encourage and inspire you, to laugh with you, and to comfort you in times of sorrow and struggle. I promise to love you in good times and in bad, when life seems easy and when it seems hard, when our love is simple, and when it is an effort. I promise to cherish you, and to always hold you in highest regard. These things I give to you today, and all the days of our lives."

I teared up more as he spoke, and as he finished, I took my vows out and read out loud:

"Jayy Von Monroe, from this day forward I promise you these things; I will laugh with you in times of joy, and comfort you in times of sorrow. I will share in your dreams, and support you as you strive to achieve your goals. I will listen to you with compassion and understanding, and speak to you with encouragement. I will remain faithful to our vows for better or for worse, in times of sickness and health. You are my best friend and I will love and respect you always."

The wedding officiant smiled and said, "I now pronounce you Mr. and Mr. Vanity. The groom may now kiss his groom," and chuckled quietly. Jayy leaned in and kissed me deeply, both of our eyes closing and we smiled against each other's kiss. He gently broke apart from my lips, and looked longingly into my eyes, whispering to me softly, "I love you, Dahvie fuckin' Vanity." Tears formed in my eyes as I grinned at him, whispering back, "I love you too, Jayy Von fuckin' Vanity." With that, he took my hand and lead me off to the tour bus, and we waved at everyone, yelling goodbye and such. We were off on our honeymoon, and nothing could stop us from living our dreams.
