You Make Me Feel So Right, Even When I'm Wrong

3/2

I’m watching TV waiting to talk to Dean about this weekend. Lucy comes in with the people she is planning on go to the Smoke Out with.

“Hey so we talking about Smoke Out,” Lucy said.
“I’m going with someone else,” I said.
“What?”

I grab the envelope and take my and Dean’s ticket out then hand it to her.

“Those are two tickets,” She said.
“I paid for it and mine. It is my ticket to give away.”
“Ok fine thanks for the tickets.”

She walks out with them all. My phone rings. I grab it and see it is Dean.

“Hello,” I said.
“Hello Angel?”
“Yep Dean. How are you?”
“I’m good. What you want to talk about?”
“The concert tomorrow.”
“What about it?”
“How do I find you since it is in the middle of us.”
“It is?”
“It’s at Nos Events Center in San Bernardino. I drive through that to get to your house.”
“You remember it?”
“I was there twice.”
“That’s right. So we meet up at the place.”
“That’s the best plan.”

I hear him sigh a little.

“What is your idea?” I ask.
“You should come over here tonight so we can just go with each other, lot easier.”
“I don’t know.”
“Please.”
“It’s just you live with your parents and we both know we can’t date. They most likely know that.”
“I sleep on the floor or couch tonight, see fix.”

I laugh a little at him and get up.

“Ok text me your address,” I told him.
“Wait what?”
“I’m coming text me the address.”
“Sunday night too?”
“Ok.”
“Ok bye.”
“Bye.”

I pack everything up that I need for the weekend. I go to my car and drive to Pair’s place. I go inside and put the poster of Dean away and grab Shrek. I go back to the car and drive to Dean’s house. I park in front of the house number he gave me. Dean comes and smiles at me.

“Hello,” Dean said.
“Hey,” I said.

I hug him tight since I haven’t seen him since the San Diego race. He hugs me back and kisses my forehead.

“Come on inside. My mum made you dinner,” Dean said.
“Oh I’m fine,” I said.
“She said you need a home cook meal. Something about you most likely not getting it.”

I nod my head knowing it’s the truth.

“She didn’t have to,” I said.
“I think it’s less time in the room together.”

I laugh at him and grab my school bag.

“What’s that?” He asks.
“Laptop and school work.”
“Ok. And this bag?”

He grabbed my clothes bag then shut the door.

“That is the clothes bag," I said.
“Ok and your purse," Dean said.
“Yes and my purse. I can park here right?”
“Yeah it’s fine.”

He led me to his room and put the bags on the side.

“Come on time to get food,” Dean said.

I laugh at him and fallow him out. His mom set a plate in front of me.

“Here you go Angel,” Mrs. Wilson said.
“Thank you Mrs. Wilson,” I said.
“Your welcome.”

I grab the fork and take a little bit. Andy came and sits down across form Dean who took the seat next to me.

“What are you guys doing tomorrow?” He asks.
“Going to a concert,” I said.
“That’s nice. Do you know any of the bands Dean?”
“Sublime,” Dean said.

Andy and Dean talk while I eat.

“How did you like it Angel?” Dean’s mom asks.
“It was great. Thank you.”
“It was no problem. You need a home cook meal every once in a while got to add meat to those bones.”
“Are you trying to fatten her up?” Dean asks.
“Just a bit.”
“Your food can’t do it. She eats sugar more than anything.”
“Stop attacking Doughnuts. They are yummy,” I told Dean.
“You eat a lot of things?”
“I eat a lot of unhealthy things. It’s hard to eat good without a kitchen.”
“You have no kitchen?” His mom asks.
“There is the kitchen but it’s shared so it’s easier to eat in the cafeteria and going out.”

She looks at me and shakes her head.

“What’s your favorite meal. I cook it for tomorrow,” She said.
“Oh no it’s fine,” I said.
“Nope tell me what is your favorite meal for dinner.”

I look at Dean not liking people fussing over me.

“Say anything that is a meal,” Dean said.
“Something you miss having since you don’t cook or your mom isn’t there to make,” Mrs. Wilson said.
“It’s odd,” I said.
“Trust me can’t be that odd.”
“There this sausage and potatoes thing my mom always make.”
“Potatoes and Sausage?” Dean asks.
“The sausage is like a U and it’s in a skillet fried with Potatoes.”

Dean laughs a little and looks at his mom.

“Where is your mom from?” Mrs. Wilson asks.
“Ireland,” I said.
“Ok that makes sense.”

I look at Dean trying to figure out why. He takes my hand and takes me to his bed room.

“Why did she ask that?” I ask.
“It’s common to something she makes but there is Onion.”
“Yeah my mom stop doing that with me and Pairs being allergic to it.”
“Really?”
“Yeah. Going in to an in and out makes me gag. I get sick with them.”
“Ok I have to make sure she knows that.”
“Does your mom like me?”
“Yeah so dose my dad. I think Mitch even likes you.”

I laugh a little and nod my head.

“He gave me a monster fridge,” I said.
“What?”

I laugh at him and grab my lap top.

“Ok you want to listen to some of the bands you going to be listening to tomorrow?” I ask.
“Sure.”

I turn my lap top on and turn on The Dirty heads.

“This is The Dirty Heads. I wouldn’t say they beat out Nine Inch Nails as my favorite but they are close at doing that,” I said.
“This is the band we have to see I take it?” Dean asks.
“They are doing a meet and greet and we going to see that.”
“Ok, what time should we leave?”

I open Google maps and put the address in and open the time table for the bands and meet and great.

“Let’s see the Dirty heads come on at 2:20 so we have to be there at the latest at 2. Then they do the signing at 3 a little after they done on stage. So then Sublime with Rome sign at Five. Then after that at 6 we see Cypress Hill then Sublime with Rome is on then we can leave after that,” I explain.
“I heard WIZ KHALIFA going to be there,” Dean said.
“On during the Sublime with Rome singing.”

I pout at him and he laughs at me a little.

“Fine we do the singing. Then go see him,” Dean said.
“Ok sounds good we might not miss a lot since there is 15 minutes between the start of them.”
“Sounds good.”

I giggle at him and kiss his cheek and show him the Map.

“So most of the time we going to be at this stage or this tent where the singing is,” I explain to him.
“It says VIP.”

I grab the tickets and show him.

“I got VIP Tickets. I am meeting the Dirty Heads,” I told him.
“You sound upset.”
“I was going to do it in High School but my friends screw me over and I didn’t get to meet them."
“Ok Then.”

I lay my head on his shoulder and yawn a little. He kisses the top of my forehead.

“So it takes one hour to get there so we need to leave around 12:30 to get through the line in time to be there at two?” Dean said.
“The doors open at 12,” I said.
“Eleven sounds good?” He asks.
“Sounds perfect.”

He kisses my forehead. I yawn and close my eyes. I fell his arms tighten up. I snuggle up to him and lift my head up.

“I don’t know why I’m so tired,” I told him.
“Full belly,” He said.

I laugh at him and my phone rings. I grab my purse and grab the phone.

“Hello,” I said.
“Hi Angel,” Paris said.
“hey Paris how are you?”
“I’m good and you with your term paper?”
“I’m getting there.”
“You need three pages on Tuesday. Have you started writing it?”
“No but…”
“Honey you need to start. You have everything ready. It doesn’t have to be the right thing just some ideas on paper.”
“I know Pairs. I do it Sunday and Monday.”
“Who are you taking to the smoke out tomorrow?”
“I’m going with Dean.”
“Good.”
“Thanks bye Pairs.”
“Please try to work on it before you go to bed and then it is fine for the weekend.”
“Ok bye Paris.”
“Bye it be good so you can just have fun tomorrow with Dean and see the Dirty heads.”
“They are doing a singing.”
“Oh god I’m hearing about this forever.”
“Bye Paris.”
“Bye Love you.”
“Me too.”

I hang up and sigh.

“What is it?” Dean asks.
“I have to write three pages for a thing for class and I’m been putting it off for 2 weeks.”
“When is it due?”
“Tuesday.”
“You got Monday and Sunday on it.”
“I know. Paris thinks I need to do it tonight.”
“That’s a lot to ask of you.”
“Not really I can do it in 2 hours.”
“What really?”
“Yeah when you are ask to normally do a 3 page paper you come out with it fast with little stress.”
“What do you want to do?”
“You’re a good pillow.”

Dean laughs a little and kisses my forehead.

“I kind of want to see if you can do it,” Dean said.

I laugh and Dean turns the music off.

“Listen to something else,” He said.
“I got Podcast.”
“Ok put one of those on.”

I go to my podcast and turn it on.

“It’s a radio show,” I told him.
“Ok what show?”
“Kevin and Bean on KROQ.”
“I heard of that station.”

I laugh at him and grab my bag and grab my note cards. I read them over and open up a word document and write up the body paragraphs. I look up when I feel the bed sink.

“It’s been 3 hours,” Dean said.

I look at him and then at my document.

“I got 5 pages on single space typed up.”
“So that means?”
“Around 10 pages double space where it should be.”
“Oh whao that’s a lot.”

I laugh at him and shake my head.

“It’s a good thing that you want to do this that you are fast,” Dean said.
“Yeah I thought so too.”

I turn my lap top off and yawn. Dean kisses my forehead.

“Time for bed,” Dean said.
“Yeah what time is it?” I ask.
“Eleven.”
“Ok.”

I grab my bag. He shows me to the bathroom. I wash my face off and change in to sweatpants and go out. He pats his bed.

“I will be in the living room,” He told me.
“Ok.”

I smile and lean over and hug him. He kisses my forehead.

“Sleep tight,” He told me.
“Night Dean.”
“Night.”

I lay down and Dean grabs a pillow and turn the light off while leaving.
