I’d be lying if I said that the last few months in Atlanta were not awesome. I finally was able to tie up some loose ends in Houston and make that big move to Atlanta. With the money that I in my savings account, I was able to buy out Taylor’s friend Monique that she as partnered with in her photography studio, now not only are we best friends, but we’re also partners now as well. I’m really enjoying it too. Taylor keeps telling me that I should go into modeling, but she’s crazy and I tell her that everyday too. I’ve been staying with her, Chris, and Matty until I can find my own place. Staying with them has been a blast, but to be truthfully honest I’m not going to be able to stay for too long, I need my privacy. Jermaine has been coming around quite a bit, but it’s nice. I’m not going to lie, I’m very attracted to him, but I just don’t wanna rush into anything. I know me and Will broke up 6 months ago, but I was with him for 2 years and I just don’t wanna get back into a relationship until I know for sure I’m over him. I already talked to Jermaine about it and he’s been really sweet about the whole thing. You know, by just hanging out with me and being friends first. I like it this way, because the way I see it, is if he wants to really be with me, he’ll continue with the way things are now, and let them blossom into more. I have to admit, I want a relationship that’s like Taylor and Chris or Tammy and Justin. I want to be friends as well as a couple, if that makes sense, I mean I’m not asking too much am I?

My phone rang, not needing to look at the LCD, I answered the phone on the second ring, not wanting to see too anxious “Hey J” I tried not to blush into the phone
“Hey gorgeous, what you doin?”
“Nothing sitting here watching TV with Matty, what’s up?” I replied
“Oh nothing just wanted to see if you felt up to company. I was going to come by and hang out for a lil while, that’s all”
“It’s cool with me, but I gotta check with Tay and see if its okay with her” I replied. I mean I know that’s her cousin and that I’m staying with her for a lil while, but I still need to respect the fact that this is her house. When I get my own place, I won’t have to ask anybody.
“Oh ok, well, I’ll call and check with her, I’m sure she’ll be okay with it, so I’ll just see you in about 20 minutes” he replied before hanging up the phone
“Aunt Cai, let’s watch Diary of a Wimpy Kid” Matty said getting up off of the couch in the upstairs game room, going over to the bookcase with the DVDs on it to look for his movie.
“Ok papa” I smiled. I remember when Matty was just 2 when Taylor and I met each other, he’s grown up so fast.

“Hey Caitlin, are you busy right now?”
“Not at this particular moment, just about to watch a movie with Matty, and Jermaine’s on his way over, why what’s up ?” I asked
“Would you mind taking Matty out to maybe Chuck E. Cheese or something for a few hours? I want to spend some quality quiet time with Tay, plus I have some news to tell her” he asked
“No, that’s no problem, I’ll see if Jermaine wants to join us. How long before you get home, we can leave before you get here. Taylor’s been in the darkroom most of the day”
“I should be home in about an hour”
“Ok cool, that gives me enough time to make sure me and Matty are dressed by the time Jermaine gets here. Soooo, what’s your news?” I smiled into the phone
“I’d tell you, but I want to tell Tay 1st, I’m sorry hun” he apologized
“No need, I understand. Besides I’ll know by the end of the night or week at least” I teased
“Oh I know you will” he laughed “I’ll call Jermaine and see if he’s okay with taking Matty out for a few hours, you just make sure that ya’ll ready to go” he finished

“Oh and Caitlin, make sure she stays in the darkroom until I get there, I’ll get her out of it after you guys leave” he chuckled
“Yes sir” I teased before hanging up.
“Hey Matty, I have a better idea, how about we go get some pizza or something like that?” I smiled as he took a seat back on the couch with me
“Can we go to Chuck E. Cheese or Monkey Buziness?” he asked, his eyes sparkling
“Sure, if that’s where you want to go” I smiled
“Yayyy!” he yelled jumping off of the couch, running to put his movie back on the shelf
“Go take your shower papa, and I’ll get you something to wear” I smiled following him out of the room as he ran to his room. I walked through his room into the bathroom that joined his room and the guest room, I turned on the shower, making sure that the water wasn’t too hot. “Ok papa, come get in the shower” I said as he ran in the bathroom wearing just a t-shirt
“Aunt Cai, I can’t get in the shower with you in here” he blushed
“Oh, I’m sorry papa, I’ll go get your underclothes and clothes together. I’m going to put them on your bed okay. Don’t get the floor wet either, keep the water in the tub papa” I said before leaving the bathroom. I went to his dresser and pulled out his lil boxer briefs and a lil white wifebeater. I went into his closet and grabbed his Perry the Platypus shirt, some blue jean shorts and his Vans to match. I pulled down his Perry the Platypus hat and laid it on the bed with the rest of his clothes. “You almost done Matty?” I called into the bathroom
“Yes, I’m ready to get out” he replied
“Did you wash everywhere papa?”
“Yes ma’am” was all he said
“Ok, well here’s your towel” I offered as he turned off the water. He pulled back the shower curtain and took the towel. “I put your lotion on the counter top and your clothes are on the bed. When you finish drying off, lotion your legs and put your clothes on okay? Aunt Cai is going to go get ready” I smiled heading out of his room.
I went into my bedroom and looked through the closet for something cute to wear, I mean I guess you could call this an impromptu date with Jermaine, so I have to look effortlessly cute. I pulled out some jeans and my Love Coutour t-shirt. I put the clothes on my bed and headed for my bathroom. I turned on the shower when I heard my name being called.
“Caiii” Taylor called as she came up the stairs
“In here Tay” I replied from my bedroom
“Hey, Jermaine called, said he was on his way over” she grinned coming in sitting on the bed
“Yeah he said that he might come over today. Why are you grinning at me like that?”
“Like what?” she asked trying to sound innocent but still grinning

“I’m just thinking that ya’ll have been spending a lot of time together lately, that’s all”

“It’s just an observation. I mean he’s really feeling you Caitlin, and I know you, you’re feeling him too, so what’s really going on bestie”
“Nothing. I mean I do like him don’t get me wrong, but I don’t think I’m ready to get back into a relationship right now. I want what you and Tammy have with Justin and Chris. I want the friendship first, you know before everything else.” I shrugged
“Well, that’s understandable, but have you talked to Jermaine about how you feel?”
“Yeah, I explained it to him, and he said that he was willing to go as slow as I needed too. I do really like him though” I smiled
“Well, as long as you two know what’s going on then that’s all that matters” she smiled
“So, is that why you’re getting all cute, because you do like him?” she grinned referring to my clothes laid out on the bed

“Well, go a head and get ready, I’ll listen for the doorbell” Taylor said heading out of the door “Matttt, what are you doing bubba?” I heard her say as she closed my door.
I jumped in the shower, bathed in my “PS I LOVE YOU” by Bath & Body Works, turned off the water, wrapped the towel around my chest and got out the shower. I turned on my flat iron before going in my bedroom to lotion my body. I put on my underclothes and my jeans and headed into the bathroom to straighten my hair before putting on my shirt and shoes. Just as I finished putting on my jewelry, the doorbell rang.
“I’ll get it” I called coming down the stairs. Matthew was sitting on the couch in the den watching Cartoon Network. I could see his silhouette from the smoke stained windows on the side of the doors. I opened the door just as I heard Taylor coming out of the darkroom.
“Hey Jermaine” I smiled
“Hey beautiful” he replied stepping over the threshold and wrapping his arms around my waist pulling me close in a tight hug. I loved when he did that, he always smelled so good. I slowly inhaled the scent of his cologne before pulling out of his arms. “You look nice as usual” he smiled
“Thanks” I blushed
“Hey Jermaine” Taylor called from the kitchen as we walked into the den
“Jermaineee” Matty yelled jumping up off the couch and running over to him
“Heyy Matt Matt, you getting big boy” he laughed picking him up in his arms tickling him while Matt laughed as he walked into the kitchen

“What you been up to cuz?” she asked as she took a bottle of Cran-Grape juice out of the refrigerator.
“You know the same ole same, working hard on this mixtape and album, so basically I’ve just been in the studio I guess you can say” he smiled putting Matthew back down on the couch. “Whatcha been up to Tay?”
“Not much, just developing some film, that’s all. What ya’ll got planned for the day?” she asked.

My phone rang in my back pocket, I hurried to answer it before Taylor noticed it was ringing
“Hello”
“Hey Cai, I’m on my way home, I should be there in about 10-15 minutes” Chris said, I could hear him unlock the cars on his Lambo
“Ok cool, talk to you later then” I replied before hanging up, trying not to be to suspect. Taylor can be very nosey at times, and when you don’t tell her what’s going on, she can and WILL figure it out for herself.
“Ok well, Matthew should be good and tired by the time ya’ll get back then” Taylor said to Jermaine as I hung up the phone.
“You ready sweetie” he turned to me
“I am” Matt yelled jumping up on the couch as Taylor shot him a disapproving look and he quickly got down.
“Yeah, I’m ready” I giggled grabbing my purse off the kitchen island
“Ok Matthew, you behave yourself, do you hear me?” Taylor looked down at Matthew. He was half her size.
“Yes ma’am” he said looking up with his puppy dog eyes.
“Gimmie kiss” she smiled leaning over so he could kiss her.
“See ya cuz” Jermaine called , opening the door

“By Tay, we’ll see you later” I smiled as Matthew jolted out the door behind Jermaine.
JERMAINE POV
The last few months have been almost surreal. Since I’d come back home to Atlanta, I’ve met some of the coolest people, and have had the chance to work some people that I never thought I’d ever see myself working with. Staying with Aunt Nini and Uncle D has been cool, but I’m hoping to be moving into my own spot soon. Things with me and Cai have been cool. I try to spend as much of my free time with her as I possibly can. She told me that she had just broken up with her boyfriend of 2 years about a month before we met and that she wasn’t ready to rush into anything. I’d be lying if I said that I wasn’t a little upset about that, but to be truthfully honest, I wasn’t ready to rush back into anything either. I liked hanging out with her though, because the more we hung out the more I got to know her and wanted to be with her. Hell who am I fooling, I was digging her, and hard too.
I called to see if she was free for the afternoon, I just wanted to be close to her, next to her, in her presence, anything that I could get at this point. I have to admit I was glad as hell when she said she was, then I told her that I’d call Taylor and let her know that I was coming by. I know Taylor is family and all, and that Cai’s staying with her but, out of respect for her privacy, I like to ‘call before I come’. When I hung from Taylor my phone rang again.
“Hello”
“Sup J?” Chris replied. I have to admit, Chris was a cool dude. I’d been in the studio with him a few times and he was really cool. I was glad that Taylor had found somebody that loved her as much as she loved him. Their relationship wasn’t something that everybody has, they were actually best friends that fell in love with each other, and friendship before relationship is the key, at least according my aunt and uncle.
“Sup Breezy, you at the studio?”
“Naw, I’m just leaving a meeting. Hey are you busy today?” he asked
“Naw, not really, I’m just headed to you house to chill with Cai, that’s about it, why what’s up?” he sounded like something was going on.
“Yeah, I just talked to Cai, could you do me a favor? Would you mind taking Matt out the house for a few hours?”
“Sure, I haven’t had a chance to hang out with him in awhile, so that’s no problem. Is everything okay?” I was concerned, he didn’t sound like his normal self, but not in a bad way
“Yeah, errything’s cool, I just want some alone time with Ro, I mean Taylor, if you know what I mean” he chuckled
“Ohhhh, I gotcha homie, we’ll give ya’ll a few hours of some ‘QT’” I laughed. I know it’s been awhile since they’d had the house to themselves since Cai moved to town.
“Thanks dude. I already talked to Cai about it, so it’s cool with her, just don’t let Tay know what’s going on. I want to surprise her when I get home.”
“Ok, cool, I’ll be at your house in a few minutes”
“Aight, I’m not too far away, but I’ll call Cai to let her know when I’m close” he replied

Caitlin looked beautiful when I picked her up. Taylor walked in from the darkroom as I walked into the den. You could tell that they were having a lazy day. I talked to Taylor for a few minutes before Cai gave me the signal that Chris was on his way. We said our byes and were out the door. The ride to Chuck E. Cheese was pretty quiet with the exception of Matthew telling us what he wanted to do once we made it there. 20 minutes later we arrived at Chuck E. Cheese.
“C’mon Aunt Cai, c’mon Jermaine, hurry up” Matthew yelled unbuckling his seat belt and jumping out of the car.
“Ok ok, calm down papa, and don’t move until I tell you to” Cai told him

“C’mon lil man, lets go see how many tickets we can collect and what prize we’re gonna take home” I said coming around the back of the car and grabbing his hand, then stealing a kiss on the cheek from Cai, causing her to blush

“What?!? I’m sorry I just couldn’t help myself” I chuckled as she took Matthew’s other hand

I liked hanging out with her though, because the more we hung out the more I got to know her and wanted to be with her. Hell who am I fooling, I was digging her, and hard too.
I called to see if she was free for the afternoon, I just wanted to be close to her, next to her, in her presence, anything that I could get at this point. I have to admit I was glad as hell when she said she was, then I told her that I’d call Taylor and let her know that I was coming by. I know Taylor is family and all, and that Cai’s staying with her but, out of respect for her privacy, I like to ‘call before I come’. When I hung from Taylor my phone rang again.
“Hello”
“Sup J?” Chris replied. I have to admit, Chris was a cool dude. I’d been in the studio with him a few times and he was really cool. I was glad that Taylor had found somebody that loved her as much as she loved him. Their relationship wasn’t something that everybody has, they were actually best friends that fell in love with each other, and friendship before relationship is the key, at least according my aunt and uncle.
“Sup Breezy, you at the studio?”
“Naw, I’m just leaving a meeting. Hey are you busy today?” he asked
“Naw, not really, I’m just headed to you house to chill with Cai, that’s about it, why what’s up?” he sounded like something was going on.
“Yeah, I just talked to Cai, could you do me a favor? Would you mind taking Matt out the house for a few hours?”
“Sure, I haven’t had a chance to hang out with him in awhile, so that’s no problem. Is everything okay?” I was concerned, he didn’t sound like his normal self, but not in a bad way
“Yeah, errything’s cool, I just want some alone time with Ro, I mean Taylor, if you know what I mean” he chuckled
“Ohhhh, I gotcha homie, we’ll give ya’ll a few hours of some ‘QT’” I laughed. I know it’s been awhile since they’d had the house to themselves since Cai moved to town.
“Thanks dude. I already talked to Cai about it, so it’s cool with her, just don’t let Tay know what’s going on. I want to surprise her when I get home.”
“Ok, cool, I’ll be at your house in a few minutes”
“Aight, I’m not too far away, but I’ll call Cai to let her know when I’m close” he replied
“Bet” I said before hanging up.

Caitlin looked beautiful when I picked her up. Taylor walked in from the darkroom as I walked into the den. You could tell that they were having a lazy day. I talked to Taylor for a few minutes before Cai gave me the signal that Chris was on his way. We said our byes and were out the door. The ride to Chuck E. Cheese was pretty quiet with the exception of Matthew telling us what he wanted to do once we made it there. 20 minutes later we arrived at Chuck E. Cheese.
“C’mon Aunt Cai, c’mon Jermaine, hurry up” Matthew yelled unbuckling his seat belt and jumping out of the car.
“Ok ok, calm down papa, and don’t move until I tell you to” Cai told him
“Yes Ma’am”
“C’mon lil man, lets go see how many tickets we can collect and what prize we’re gonna take home” I said coming around the back of the car and grabbing his hand, then stealing a kiss on the cheek from Cai, causing her to blush
“Jermaine!” she playfully hit my arm
“What?!? I’m sorry I just couldn’t help myself” I chuckled as she took Matthew’s other hand
“C’mon Jermainnneee” Matthew was getting impatient and started pulling us.
“I guess we better get in before he gets upset” I laughed
“Ya’ll go ahead and get some tokens and play, I’ll order a pizza and get our drinks” Cai smiled “What kind of pizza do you want?” she finished
“I’ll take a meat lovers and get some wings too babe” I replied
“I want a cheese pizza Aunt Cai” Matthew said as we walked inside.
“OK, I’ll get a table then” she smiled heading to the counter “Be good Matty” she called after us as we headed to get tokens. Looks like this was going to be a long day.
