I hadn’t heard from Taylor all day, and it was unlike her to not call me during the day. I usually hear from her by noon, and it was almost 4 in the afternoon and I hadn’t heard anything. I’m pretty sure she made it home safely, because she texted Tammy to let her know. I know who to call to get info, she’ll tell me.
“Hello” Syd answered
“Hey sis”
“Hey babyboy, what’s up?” she asked

“We’re good, how’s my girl Tammy? You better be treating her right” she said
“C’mon now sis, ya’ll trained me better than that, you know I’m treating her right” I laughed
“I know we did, I’m just checking. Did Tay tell you that we’re all having dinner and mama and daddy’s tomorrow after church?” she asked
“No, that’s why I’m calling, have you talked to her today. I haven’t heard from her all day
and I was just checking to see if you have?” I asked
“Yeah, she called me earlier, she checked up on Matty, and said she was meeting Chris at the studio for 12, but you know she’s never on time for anything” she laughed
“Oh ok, yeah some things went down at the Spot last night and I know she was mad at him
and he said that he was going to try to work things out with her as soon as possible, so I guess that’s what they’re doing”
“Yeah, I told her that that boy is really into her, and that we knew she was into him to. You
need to stop being so over protective of her and let them hook up. You’re the younger brother, not the older one. DJ didn’t even act as protective as you do. She’s a grown woman Jus, she can make her own decisions, and if she wants to be with Chris and he wants to be with her, then as a brother and friend, then all you can do is be supportive” she scolded
“I know Sydney” I started annoyed “I told Chris last night that if he wanted to hook up with
her, then who was I to stand in their way. He really is a good guy with a good heart, yeah he hit a rough patch, but that’s not the type of guy he is. I know he cares about her and that he would never do anything to intentionally hurt her. I just told him that he needs to put that ugly Kae girl in check before he moves on with Tay, and from the way she left yesterday, he did just that.” I laughed
“I’m proud of you babyboy! I know you mean well and your heart is in the right place, but you just have to trust Tay’s judgment. Yeah, Chris hit a rough patch, that in my personal opinion was not his fault, he never gave up, he has perseverance, and that says a lot about a man. “Yeah sis, you’re right, I just want to see both of them happy and if they’re happy with each other, than so be it. Anyway, when are you and K going to come out to one the party’s I work. I’d love for ya’ll to come to one, ya’ll would have a great time. Ya’ll need to get out sometime, let loose” I teased
“Yeah, I know we do. Tay told me how you threw down last night. I think she loves going to the club to support you. I tell you what, I’ll talk to Keith and we’ll see about coming to the next one that you have.” she said.
“Cool, I’ll let you know when the next one is, but I usually do at least 3-4 a week. I’m going to see if I can reach Tay and make sure she’s okay, and see if she’s coming to the Spot tonight. I’ll talk to you late sis, love you”
“Ok babyboy, keep me posted. Talk to you later, love you too” she said hanging up the line
I better text Tay and see if she’s okay. I know Chris cares about her and will do anything to
keep her from being mad at him, but I just need to make sure that that hoe Kae didn’t piss her off and try to ruin things for them. Just before I could text Tay, my phone vibrated with a new text message from Tammy.
Tam: Hey babe
J: Sup baby
Tam: What time you comin to the club?
J: I’ll be there around 8:30

J:Idk, I’m about to check, will let you know

Lemme text Tay before I get sidetracked. I still need to get my clothes together, shower, and get to the club. I know she’s at the studio with Chris, I just wonder if she’ll actually tell me that. I know Tay, she doesn’t tell me everything. I need to make sure she’s coming to the Spot tonight too.

When I got home, I felt like I was cloud nine. I was so happy that me and Chris were finally
together. Just the thought of him made me smile. I walked in the house and went straight to my room to start getting ready. I opened the door to my walk in closet and took a deep breath. I had no idea what I wanted to wear, but I definitely wanted to look good, I mean this was the first time that me and Chris were going out as a couple. As I looked through my clothes, my phone rang alerting me to a new text message. When I picked it up, I was surprised to see that it wasn’t Chris texting me.
TJ: Hey Ms.Taylor, whatcha up too?
Tay: Mr. Jenkins, what’s up?
TJ: Not much, just thought I’d see what you were up too.
Tay: Oh nothing really, just looking for something to wear to J-Spot tonight, and u?
TJ: sitting here chillin, tryin to figure out what I’m gonna get into tonight

Maybe I should have told him that I was going with Chris, but then again why does it matter. I go back to my closet and I finally figured out what I wanted to wear. was downstairs, and I didn’t have to try to run down any stairs. It’s funny, but my heart
was beating a lil fast and I had butterflies in my stomach, even though I had hung out with
Chris so many times, it felt like this was our first date.
“Hey baby” I smiled when I opened the door, reaching up to kiss him.
“Hey beautiful” he said leaning over to give me a kiss, wrapping his arms around my
waist and lifting me off my feet in one foul swoop. I wrapped my arms around his neck

“Ok, we’re going to VIP, you coming up there later right?” I said pecking him on the cheek.
“You know I am, I have to check on my guest” he smirked pecking me back.
Big Pat led the way to the VIP area which was set up across the dance floor from the DJ booth. When we got up there, the area was set up with balloons that said
“Congratulations” and a couple bottles of Rose’ and Ciroc. As I looked around, I just started laughing, because I knew this was Justin’s doing, being that he likes to pull jokes and stuff, and is a hopeless romantic even though he won’t admit to it, but I just didn’t know how he knew about me and Chris when I hadn’t even told him. Chris looked around and laughed, then he walked over to the balcony of the VIP area and gave J a what’s this all about motion.
“That’s for ya’ll” J replied over the mic
“I can’t believe he did this, I’m soo kicking his butt later!” I said wrapping my arms around Chris’s neck
“You know how your brother is! ” he replied sliding his arms around my waist and leaning
over planting a soft kiss my forehead
“Where’s Ty and ‘em?” I questioned looking around the club
“Did I hear somebody say my name” Tyga said walking up into the VIP
“Oh hey, where is everybody?” I asked
“They’re on their way up to the DJ booth, they went over to speak to J” he said nodding in the direction of the DJ booth and coming over to give me hug.
