TAYLOR POV

When we got to the venue, we parked the car and walked with Mama J into the arena to sit in on sound check. Chris didn’t know that I was there, nor did he know what I was wearing. I couldn’t wait to see the look on his face. He had given me the sweatshirt a while back, probably right before we got together, but I had never worn it. It’s been sitting in my closet all this time. I didn’t get a chance to text him to let him know that I was on my way, I got side tracked by a phone call

My phone rang just as I finished putting on a little make up. I let out a long and deep sigh. I wasn’t in the mood for the BS today.

“Hello” I said as I turned on the speaker phone, then laid the phone on the counter so I could do my hair.

“Hey Taylor, don’t hang up” he said in one breath

“What do you want Donovan” I huffed

“I’m just calling to apologize about yesterday”

“Go ahead” I replied switching my weight to my right foot as I curled my hair

“I apologize for my behavior yesterday. I was completely outta line. I had no right to speak to and about Chris the way I did, it wasn’t fair to you or him. I was angry with myself and hurt all at the same time. In seeing the two of you yesterday, I realized just how bad and how much I had ruined what we had. Taylor, you were the best thing to ever happen to me, then you blessed me with the second best thing to ever happen to me, Matthew Christopher, and I took the both of you for granted. I took for granted the fact that you had forgiven me for cheating on you and instead of honoring you, our relationship, and our child, I still went out and kept sleeping around, then to make matters worse, I put my hands on you, which is something that I will forever regret doing. Taylor, I never meant to hurt you. All I can do now is try to fix the situation with Matthew. I don’t want him to grow up hating me for never being there for him. Matthew means more to me than my job does. I realize that I’ve missed my chance with you, and that was made evident yesterday when I saw the way you look at Chris. I’m happy that you found somebody that makes you happy and treats you the way you deserve to be treated. From here on out, our relationship will be centered around Matthew. I never want him to see us the way we were yesterday. I want him to be able to say that even though his parents weren’t together, they still remained friends. Would that be okay with you?”

I took a deep breath, just taking in everything that Donovan had just said. I quickly wiped away a stray tear that had fallen. I couldn’t believe that he was finally apologizing for everything that he had done to me; an apology that I’ve waited so long to hear from him. I took another deep breath, this time letting out all of the built up frustration and animosity that I was harboring for him.

“Hello? Tay, you still there?”

“Yeah, I’m here Donnie” I replied, using the nickname that I had given him in college

“You haven’t called me that in a long time. Say something” he chuckled

“Yea…yeah, we can work on being ONLY friends Donnie. Our relationship is ONLY and ALWAYS about Matthew. I want him to be able to say the same thing, that his parents were friends even though they were not together. He’s the most important thing to me, and I’d do anything for him. But I also need you to understand that I’m with Chris now, and I love him, there’s no more US! You understand”

“I know. Thank you Taylor. You gave me my biggest and best accomplishment. If it’s okay with you, I’d like to try to take him camping when you guys get back, I mean if it’s not too cold, or do something with him when ya’ll get back” he asked

“No, I don’t mind. I never wanted to keep him from you, but from here on out, you have GOT to stop making him promises that you can’t keep. You have no idea what it’s like to have to cheer him up from YOUR broken promises”

“I won’t, from here on out, I’m going to be a better father to him, he deserves it” I could tell he was smiling.

“Ok, we’ll see, you know actions speak louder than words”

“I know. You are definitely your father’s child” he chuckled making me laugh, because my dad would always tell him the same thing when we were in college.

“Well, I gotta go, I gotta finish getting ready, Cai will be here in a few minutes, and you know how she is” I laughed

“Yeah, I know” he chuckled back “Well, I was just calling to apologize and tell you that I’m going to be a better father. Ya’ll have a safe trip and have my son call me when he gets a chance”

“Ok, bye” I smiled hanging up the phone. If felt good to finally get an apology.

The intro to YO (Excuse Me Miss) playing brought me out of my thoughts. I blinked my eyes twice trying to focus them. Just as I was able to focus, I made eye contact with Chris, who was standing in the middle of the stage. A beautiful dimply smile spread across his face, causing me to laugh. He stepped to the side, and Matthew was sitting on one of the props on the stage singing along with Chris. Chris went through the 1st verse of YO, walking back and forth on the stage, occasionally shooting me a smile.

“I like that sweatshirt” he said into the mic. I just nodded and smiled at him. A few minutes later, me, Cai, and Mama J headed to the back. I spoke to everyone and took a seat in Chris’s dressing room on the couch.

“Hey mama” Matthew said running in and throwing his arms around my neck, then pecking me on the cheek

“Hey baby, have you been good?”

“Yes ma’am” he smiled

“Hey buddy, I don’t get no love, what’s up with that?” Cai smiled

“Awww, I’m sorry Aunt Cai” he smiled giving her a big hug.

“You havin fun?”

“Yes. Daddy came to see me” he smiled

“He did?” he caught me off guard, I could see Cai frowning from the corner of my eye

“Yes” he nodded his head

“Well, what did he say?” I questioned with a smile, hoping that he didn’t come to start any mess.

“He said that he just wanted to give me a hug and to tell me to have fun and to be good. He said that we can go camping when I get back” his little eyes sparkled

“Did he really?”

“Yes, I can’t wait either”

“Well, we have to see if it’s not cold, but I’m sure your dad will have something planned for the two of you to do when you get back” I kissed his head

“Bighead, I thought you were going to come play the game with me?” Tyga said pushing the back of Matthew’s head gently.

“Stop bighead” Matthew squealed trying to hit Tyga back as he dodged his little fist

“Hey babygirl” he smiled leaning over kissing my cheek “What’s up Cai” he smiled kissing her cheek too “oh I can’t be kissing on you no more, I don’t want no trouble from J” he laughed

“Shut up boi” Cai laughed

“So, you set to hit the road with us?” he turned to me

“Yes sir” I replied going through some pictures on my camera.

“Whatcha doin” he asked taking a seat on the arm of the couch next to me

“Getting ready to clean out some of these pictures, to make room for some more. I forgot to pick up a new memory card on my way” I was focused

“Oh ok, so basically you trying to get locked and loaded huh?”

“You already know how I do” I laughed

“Babygirl, did you check on that for me” Bow asked coming in the room

“Yes, I did” I looked up shacking my head “and hello to you too Shad” I chuckled

“My bad, what’s up Tay” he chuckled “Well, what happened?”

“All systems a go” I smiled with a wink

“Secrets don’t make friends” Tyga said

“She talking about Bow tryin to get with Melissa” Cai laughed

“Tay, I thought you didn’t say nothing to no body” he pouted with his eyes wide opened looking shocked

“She didn’t ole bighead boi, I’m her best friend, I know everything” she smiled “plus Melissa asked about you when you left the house after the last get together” she smiled

“For real?” his eyes widened even bigger. I didn’t think they could get any bigger either

“You are a mess boi” me and Cai laughed in unison

“Who is, Bow?” Chris said coming in, grabbing Matthew by the waist and making him squeal. “Hey baby” he leaned over quickly kissing my lips.

“Hey boo” I smiled

“Ummm, excuse you, Taylor is NOT the only person in this room” Cai teased. Her and Chris were always messing with each other

“She’s the only one of any importance” Chris laughed

“You shoooo right Christopher” Cai chuckled nodding her head.

“I’m just playing, you know we cool, I don’t want no trouble from J” Chris laughed putting Matthew back down on the floor

“I see ya’ll got jokes today”

“Leave my bestie alone” I defended as the guys played around with Matthew “Maury, don’t you have to get in to your M&Gs?”

“Yeah, in a few, they still setting up the room. Are you trying to get rid of me or something?” he pretended to pout

“No, plus why would I do that, I’m about to get on a bus with you for the next week”

“You can’t get rid of me, you’re stuck with me” he made a kissy face at me.

“You are so silly” I laughed

“Ro, do I smell okay?” he said coming over lifting his arm and putting his pit in my face

“Ewww babe, I don’t wanna smell you!” I frowned up my nose and turned my head laughing

“C’mon bae, I don’t wanna go out there smelling all funky and shit, my future wife might be out there” he laughed

“Oh yeah, well tell her to smell you then” I laughed

“I’m trying to, but she don’t wanna smell me” he winked as I shook my head at him. That boy is so silly I swear.

“Christopher, are you ready?” Aunt Christine walked in the room, business face on.

“Yes ma’am, but Taylor won’t tell me if I stink or not” he smiled at her

“I don’t wanna smell your arm pits boy”

“Hey Tay” Aunt Christine smiled, crossing the room to give me a hug “boy leave babygirl alone” she swatted at him

“Thank you Aunt Christine”

“Taylor, I was going to ask you if you would mind taking the pictures at the M&Gs, our normal photographer got sick last night. Would you mind if it’s not too much trouble?” she smiled

“No, that’s no problem, I’d love to”

“Thank you so much. I know you probably hadn’t planned on working while you were with us, but this was last minute”

“It’s no problem” I smiled “It’s a family affair”

She smiled and told Chris to hurry up and get freshened up, they were ready to start. He sat on the arm of the couch by me for a few minutes playing with my hair while I finished cleaning out the memory card to my camera, before getting up to change his shirt.

“C’mon Matty, let’s go play on the PlayStation while your mom takes pictures” Tyga said reaching for Matt’s hand.

“Wait!” I said as they stopped “Smile” I told them, holding up my camera to snap a pic of them as Chris and Shad jumped in the picture too. “Give me kiss” I said “I dunno if Chris is gonna be okay with that” Bow laughed leaning over puckering up his lips as Tyga gave me a quick peck on the cheek

“I wasn’t talking to ya’ll” I laughed turning my head from Bow as his lips landed on my other cheek.

“Yeah, mama was talking to me” Matthew pushed Bow and Tyga away, pulling me down to give me a kiss.

“All ya’ll need to keep your lips off my woman”

“I can kiss her, she’s my mommy” Matthew defended

“My bad, I don’t want no problems” Chris laughed backing up with his hands in the air, palms facing out; making me and Cai laugh at all of them.

“Ya’ll are all silly” I laughed

“Bye ya’ll see, ya’ll later” Tyga laughed shaking his head “C’mon Matt” he grabbed his hand

“I’m going to go see if Aunt Christine and Mama J need some help” Cai winked walking out behind Tyga, Matt, and Shad “C’mon Mijo” she called back to him, he had just been sitting in the room quietly, which was kinda odd for him.

“Coming dear” he replied making us laugh and closing the door behind him, always the smart ass

“Mmmm, finally alone” Chris smiled pulling me on his lap, wrapping his arms around my waist, resting his chin on my shoulder, then planting a soft kiss on my neck

“C’mon, you have people waiting for you” I tried to get up only to have him tighten his grip on me

“Mmhmm, we’ll go out there in a minute” he said quickly but gently laying me down on the couch

“What are you doing” I giggled as he nibbled on my ear

“Picking up where we left off this morning” he smiled into my skin

“Oh really, as nice as that sounds and as good as this feels...” I was interrupted when he planted his lips on mine, slowly slipping his tongue in, as we entered into a passionate kiss.

“Now, what were you saying?” he grinned as he came out our kiss

“Ummm...you have people waiting for you” I stammered

“I know” he smiled taking my hand and guiding it down to his crouch; my eyes widened

“Oh yeah, it’s like that” I grinned as he winked and nodded his head, “too bad I can’t take care of that right now for you” I pecked his lips

“You are such a freak”

“Only with you baby” I smiled as he pecked my lips and got off of me “Go do what you have to do, I’m going to go up here and get ready to take these pictures” I stood up

“Mkay, love you” he smiled the prettiest dimple filled smile

“Love you too” I smiled back walking out the door.

CHRIS POV

I didn’t tell Taylor that Donovan had stopped by. I didn’t want to spoil her evening. I decided that I would tell her later on tonight when we were on the bus chillin. I changed into my blue F.A.M.E sweatshirt, Taylor was wearing the red on that I gave her. I slipped out of my Concords and into my Addias slippers. I wanted so badly to walk out with her to the M&G’s but I outta respect for her and my fans, I let her go by herself. I love my fans, and they love me, but truth of the matter is, some of them love seeing me happy with someone, and others can be hatas. Mijo came back to get me.

“You ready bruh?”

“Yea, where’s Tay? What’s it looking like out there?” I asked patting my pockets for my phone

“She’s out there talking to Aunt Christine and some of TB. It looks like club central out there. Man I swear these cluck clucks come to these concerts dressed like this is the club or something. And I bet half of them end up at the after party in the same exact outfit, because they leaving straight from here to the club” he laughed shaking his head

“For real though, they will, but if they ain’t over 21, they won’t be getting in tonight” I laughed

“Ya’ll didn’t lower the age limit at the club for the party tonight?”

“Nope, we doing it Grown and Sexy tonight bruh” I replied as we walked down the long hallway

“Damn, that mean I gotta put on some real clothes tonight then huh?”

“Something like that” I laughed shaking my head, Mijo probably hated dressing up more than anybody I knew. When I walked into the M&G room, it was filled with screams, even Taylor and Cai were screaming like a bunch teenagers. I couldn’t help but laugh at them. Some of my fans held conversations with Taylor while others just gave her dirty looks. I thought it was funny, because she never lost her smile even when she caught some of the dirty looks she was getting. She smiled with every picture that she took of me and one of my fans, sometimes laughing so hard from some of the poses that she could barely snap the picture. All in all, it was a lot of fun. After M&Gs we headed back to my dressing room. Tyga would be getting ready to take the stage in about an hour or so. Lauren had shown up and was in his dressing room along with Drake, Nicki, and Malika. Kmac, Trey, Mijo, Justin and Jermaine were chillin with me in my dressing room and Matthew was sitting on the couch playing his NintendoDS. Wayne had stopped by with Baby and was chillin in Bow’s dressing room. We could hear the DJ mixing as the crowd started to come in and take their seats.

“Breezy, where’s my sister?”

“Oh, I think she went to lay down on the bus for a few minutes, she said she had a headache from laughing at us. I think Cai just went to check on her” I replied pulling my phone outta my pocket

I thought I’d check on her, she’d been on the bus since we got back from M&Gs. I know I can be a flirt sometimes, but I’m just hoping that she’s not upset by that.

I’m fine baby, I just had a headache. I’ll be in in a few minutes. Love you <3 Ro

I guess she’s not mad. I got up and headed for the restroom to wash my face. I needed to do my vocal exercise too, and the restroom had some good acoustics, I guess you could say. I shaved and washed my face, then started on my vocal exercises. I could hear the guys all talking and laughing in the dressing room. I closed the door to the restroom and my eyes and focused. I must have really been in my zone, because I didn’t hear when Taylor and Cai came back in the dressing room, let alone when Taylor came in the restroom. I felt her slowly snake her arms around my torso, sliding her hands up my exposed chest, causing me to smile and open my eyes. The scent of her perfume filled my nose. I slowly turned around in her arms, wrapping mine around her waist.

“Hey beautiful” I smiled

“Hey” she pecked my chest, her lips soft and cool against my skin.

“You okay Ro?” I pulled away a little so that I could look her in her beautiful brown eyes.

“Yeah babe, why? I’m fine”

“I’m just checking. You left right after my meet and greets, so I wasn’t sure” I half smiled

“I’m fine Maury, I just had a really bad headache, after last night, and this morning; then with all the excitement going on today, my head was pounding”

“I wore you out huh?” I grinned sliding my hands down her waist, resting them on her butt

“I guess you can say that” she giggled burying her head in my chest, softly kissing my tattoos

“Mmm, if you keep that up, you’re going to get something started before I have to hit the stage”

“Focus bighead” she slapped my azz

“I am focused” I smiled leaning over sucking on her neck.

“Not on meee” she softly moaned as I continued sucking on her neck, cupping her butt with my hand and lifting her off the ground. She wrapped her legs around my waist; I walked over to the counter and set her down on it. I softly pecked the purple spot on her neck opposite side of the one I had given her this morning, trailing kisses up her jaw to her cheek meeting her lips.

“Mmm baby, we can’t do this right now” she gently pulled out of our kiss

“Why not?”

“Because you have a show to get ready for, that’s why; but maybe later tonight” she winked

“Finnee” I pretended to pout making her laugh

“I’m going to get Matthew situated for the show, so I’ll see you after. Be AWESOME baby” she softly kissed the dimple in my chin before I stepped back and helped her off of the counter “I love you” she smiled before walking out the door

“I love you more”

************* 3 HOURS LATER *************

The show was crazy. The arena was sold out and so loud with TB singing along with me, that I damn near didn’t have to sing, but that’s one of the things that I loved so much about performing. I couldn’t take my eyes off of Taylor during the show either. I kept going back to that side of the stage. She was rockin just as hard as my fans were, singing every word with Cai; they were dancing and everything. Matthew was even singing along. I was a little nervous about doing “Take You Down” in front of Taylor. We picked a girl from the audience and laid her down on a “love seat” and I would sing to her and grind on her. I wasn’t sure how Taylor was going to react to that. When I looked at her, her face didn’t show any signs of disapproval, she was laughing and singing and smiling along with everyone else. I thought doing that part of the show in front of my mama was bad enough, but doing it in front of the girl I was in love with was worse. I guess I’m glad Taylor’s not the jealous type. I know I’d be furious if I saw my girl giving some guy a lap dance. I know I have some issues to deal with when it comes to that. By the time I finished performing, Taylor and everybody was already back stage. When I got off the stage and had taken off the jacket to the suit I was wearing, I saw Taylor waiting with a white towel in one hand and a bottle of water in the other. I stepped to her with a big smile and scooped her up in my arms.

“Babbyyy” she giggled as I quickly lifted her feet up off the floor “You’re sweaty”

“I thought you liked me sweaty” I whispered in her ear, softly nipping it as I put her down

“I do, but only in the bedroom” she kissed my lips “Here” she handed me the bottle of water

“Thanks babe” I took the bottle of water as she wiped my forehead. She threw the towel over her shoulder and I grabbed her hand as we walked back to the dressing room. When I opened the door, damn near everybody was in there. I quickly scanned the room to see who all was there. I saw everybody but Matt, and my heart immediately started to race.

“Where’s Matt?” I looked between, around, and over everybody.

“He’s in the restroom” Justin replied

“Oh ok”

“That was a great show Chris” Cai smiled

“Thanks Caitlin, I’m glad ya’ll liked it”

“Yeah, it was awesome” Matthew exclaimed coming from the restroom.

“You liked it? Did you have fun?” I kneeled down to his level as he just shook his head and smiled

“Well, bruh, we’re going to get going, gotta get to the club. I’m pretty sure it’s packed” Justin said grabbing Tammy’s hand “We’ll see ya’ll when you get there”

“Cool” I replied giving him dap as I headed for the restroom to get out of that last costume from the show. It was sweaty and definitely needed to be cleaned.

“Babe, I’m going to head out to the bus and get Matthew ready for bed, it’s getting late” Taylor said as she slowly walked in the restroom. She bit her lip and smiled when she saw me standing in nothing but my black boxer briefs, a smirk came across my lips

“You like what you see?”

“Hell yeah, hell yeah, fuckin right” she sang as I walked up to her

“You are so silly” I laughed wrapping my arms around her waist, as she wrapped hers around my torso, I softly kissed her forehead.

“I was dead ass serious, and I’ll show you just how much I like it later on tonight” she smiled “right now, I have to go put my little man to bed, while my big one gets ready to party”

“Mkay” I pecked her cheek before letting her go so that I could put on some clothes

“C’mon Matty” she called as she headed out the restroom door.

I changed into some jeans and a F.A.M.E sweatshirt then gathered up my things to take on the bus and headed out the door. All the gifts that my fans had given me during the meet & greet were already put on the bus. I walked over to Tyga’s bus and hollered at him for a few minutes while they got us prepared to head out. Me and Tyga hopped on Bow’s bus and kicked it for a few before I jetted over to my bus. It was quiet on the bus, the only person I saw was Pat. Austin and Mijo were nowhere to be found.

“Sup Pat, where everybody at?” I stepped on the bus

“Austin just went over on Tyga’s bus to kick it with Trell, he said that he’d get back on when we leave the club tonight, and Mijo said that he’d meet us at the club, he’s riding with Carmen”

“Oh ok” I replied opening the door to my room. Taylor was lying in the middle of the bed with Matthew, and they were both sleeping. I gently closed the door, not to wake them up, and climbed into bed behind Taylor, wrapping my arm on top of hers that was wrapped around Matt, interlocking my fingers with hers. I softly kissed the back of her neck, and laid my head on the pillow next to hers.

“Mmm, hey baby” she sleepily smiled

“Hey” I whispered

“Don’t you need to get ready for the club?”

“I will when we get there, I’m just gonna take a quick nap with you and Matt right now” I whispered softly against her neck before softly kissing it.

The club was about 20 -30 minutes away from the arena so it was nice to be able to lay down next to Taylor rather than being on skype with her like I’d been doing after every show. I know when the tour hits the east coast, I might not be able to skype with her as much due to the time difference, so I plan to enjoy every minute of the time that we have while she’s on the bus with me. It’s funny the little things that you miss when you’re away from your loved ones. I missed the scent of Taylor’s vanilla shower gel filling the bathroom at night when she got out the tub, and her Japanese Cherry Bloosm filling the bathroom in the morning after we made love. The smell of her Fairy Dust when she left for work, and the scent of Tease when we went to the club. I missed our quick dinners at night after we had both worked a long day, and just laying in the bed watching Law & Order:SVU at night before we went to sleep. Playing silly card games in the bed when the house was quiet and just laying out in the middle of the back yard at night looking up at the stars. Playing games on the Wii with Matthew, little things like that I missed while out on the road. I smiled just thinking about the last time the 3 of us spent together, Caitlin had gone out with Jermaine, we just sat on the couch and watched both Cars and all 3 Toy Story movies.

“What are you smiling about?” how’d she know I was smiling

“Nothing, just thinking about something, that’s all”

“What you thinking about Maury?”

“The last family movie night that we had, that’s all”

“The night we watched the Cars and Toy Story movies, then you and Matt decided to play the Toy Story3 game on the Wii” she quietly laughed, trying not to wake up Matthew, which was easy considering he slept like a rock

“Yeah, and we ended up staying up to like 3 in the morning and all of us slept in that morning”

“Yeah, that was a fun night” she smiled
