Tell Me All Your Secrets

Chapter 1

The new kid. The words were almost engraved onto my forehead. I’d spent so many years trying to get over that in Weybridge, just to have the towel pulled out from under me. I wasn’t leaving behind much, a couple of friends sure. It’s was the thought of starting over that terrified me, being nothing, having no one.

Elissa has been trying to tell me that this is the time to ‘reinvent’ myself, so I’m more ‘likeable’. I think it’s a load of rubbish if you ask me, I’m already a very likable person . It’s just that everybody else are a bunch of bloody wankers.

I took her advice anyway, knowing If I didn’t it’d cause an argument and I haven’t really seen her much since she went to uni. So moments we get to talk are rare.

I picked nervously at my torn skinny jeans, were these a good idea? What would people say? There’s really nothing can do now, and they’re ‘me’ I suppose. More me than those god awful uniforms I wore at my old school. I snorted, and anyway since when did I care what people would say?

“Don’t get into trouble, I don’t want to get a phone call on your first day.” My mum said worriedly, she’s under the impression that I like to cause trouble. I scoffed, it likes to follow me.

“I’ll try.” The look on her face wasn’t happy, I just smiled and kissed her cheek. “Love you mum, see you later.” She rolled her eyes. “Love you too Josh.”

Despite the nervousness running through my veins, I kept my head held high as I walked into the front office. The woman behind the counter looked up uninterestedly, “New?” Her voice was bored and toneless. I resisted the urge to roll my eyes, someone looked thrilled about their job.

“Yeah, Josh Franceschi.” She tattered around the counter before handing me a schedule.

“You go to Registration, which is room... 159 for you. Then the rest of your classes.” I almost glared at her, really? I’ve been to school before, arsehole.

I silently thanked her (Not that she needed that much thanking) and headed to Registration. I didn’t realize I was late until I walked in and 20 something pairs of eyes stared at me. I grinned out of the rows of my new classmates, keeping my head held high.

Is it wrong to say I loved their eyes on me? I’m an attention whore, to blatantly put it. Sue me, but one day I know I’ll be up on stage, singing my heart to millions. Don’t tell me I won’t, I don’t think I could handle that.

Some girls were throwing me flirty looks, and I couldn’t help but send out a smirk or two. Honestly? I know I’m hot. I’m not vain, just a bit.. hmm cocky confident.

“New student eh?” My eyes raked over what I guess was the ‘teacher’. If you could call him that. He looked more like a rockstar, he had long black hair and was wearing extremely tight jeans with a white shirt and tie.

“Josh Franceschi.”

He grinned and slapped me on the back. “Welcome to hell! I’m Mr. Watkins, the single-handed best teacher in this school. Not that, it came out of my mouth.” He winked. “Tell us something interesting about yourself Mr.Franceschi.”

I bite my lip and thought for a moment before smirking. “In a few years I’ll be on stage with a sold out crowd, singing my heart out. So don’t forget this face.”

He rolled his eyes and mumbled something that sounding something close to ‘Won’t we all.’

“Take a seat next to Sean. Mr. Smith raise your hand.” A boy in the back with peroxide blonde hair lifted his hand in the air. I raised an eyebrow, sitting in the seat beside him.

“I’m Sean Smith. This fellow right here is Gavin Butler.” He pointed to a guy with a beard. “And this is--” The brown haired guy beside him cut him off.

“Max Helyer, you know I hate it when you talk for me Sean.” The blonde just shrugged. Max I noticed had a slight baby face, and Gavin had extremely blue eyes. Sean, I shake my head, Sean’s hair was really blonde with a pink streak in it.

“I like your hair.” I couldn’t help but blurt out, cause honestly? Who has the balls to dye their hair like that. Sean smirked, “Me of course. I got to keep looking sexy. Thanks by the way.”

I furrowed my eyebrows, had I said that out loud? Max and Gavin were laughing as Sean was sent into a fit of giggles. “Yes, and you’re still doing it.”

My face redden from embarrassment, “Oh god. That.. uh doesn’t happen a lot.” They all smirked. “Righhhhht. You’re going to fit in here just fine mate.” Max said patting my back, I couldn’t help but grin.

I think I would.
