In a world where vampires walk among humans, there is a strict code of laws that governs how a vampire and a human are allowed to interact.

Alek is a vampire that should never have happened. His existence is illegal, so he must hide everyday of his life to stay alive. If he is found, the punishment is destruction.

Blake is a good girl. She lives with her father and step-mother, makes straight A's (with a B here and there), never goes to parties (though she'd like to), and never stays out after dark.

By chance, Alek and Blake's destinies collide. If their trust and friendship can survive, then maybe so can they.
