New and Pretty

Stare

After a few weeks I did feel bad for Krystal. The students had taken it much further than I expected. Krystal suspected me and she had no problem voicing her opinion at any chance she got, but no one had any proof and I wasn't about to fess up. After the first week she started staying home from school all together and got her work sent home to her.

The weeks seemed to fly by now. Keelan and I remained not talking but often caught each other staring, Matt continued trying to convince me he was the right guy for me, and our group remained as close as ever.
"Do you ever think we may have taken it too far?" Anne said as we walked to our next class together. I sighed.
"Yes, but look at the upside that could still be us."
"I suppose, I just feel bad for her."
"I think a lot of people do, but no one has the balls to reach out to her in fear of getting stepped on themselves."
"I'm surprised Suzy stayed with her as long as she has." Anne said as we walked through the door to our English class.
"She probably still feels bad for what she did with Matt." I said, sitting down in my usual seat beside Anne's.
