He was the one who was always there for me when I was down. He could make me laugh, when I didn't even want to smile. He loved me for who I was and not what people expected me to be.
But when I told him I didn't need him, he walked away without a word and with a tear streaming down his face. That was the first time I'd ever seen him cry; not even when his mother was hospitalized did he shed a tear.
Now that he's gone I realize that I not only need him more than ever, but that I love him too.
