Chapter 4

(*Leanna's Point of View*)

"Liam! I thought you said you would never tell!" I shouted at him. I really can not believe him right now.

"They deserve to know." He said.

"Sure they deserve to know, but you couldn't have waited til I knew them a little better?!" I said.

"I'm sorry, I just can't let that happen again..." He said trailing off.

"I'm sorry, Liam, I shouldn't have shouted. You're a great big brother." I said, tears starting to stream down my face. I got up and hugged him, burying my face in his neck.

"And, you are a great little sister." He said, hugging me back. "Alright. Go get ready. We have reservations at a posh restaurant. This time it really is a posh restaurant, it isn't McDonalds." He smiled.

"Ok." I said smiling and letting go of him.

I hopped in the shower and quickly washed my hair and body. I shaved my legs and under arms then got out. I quickly got dressed. I then put on my makeup and curled my hair. I looked myself up and down in the mirror. I couldn't help but point out all of my flaws.

Fat thighs. Some acne. Small boobs... My thoughts were interrupted by Niall knocking on the bathroom door saying, "You know you're supposed to share the bathroom, right?"

I opened up the door and said, "And you know you never disturb a lady when she's in the process of getting ready, right?" He chuckled.

"Wow, you look... Great." He said smiling.

I felt my face heat up. "You don't look to bad yourself." I said looking him up and down. He was wearing a fancy white dress shirt, black skinny jeans, black supras, and nice sunglasses. "Thanks, but I haven't done my hair yet, which is why I need the bathroom." He said smiling.

"Your hair looks fine, Horan!" I said moving out of his way so he could get into the bathroom.

"No! My hair is in need of gel!" He said. I laughed. After a minute or two he finally came out and we left to go meet up with everyone else.

When we got there everyone's eyes were on me.

"Woah. You look great, Leanna." Harry said getting quite close to me, like the flirt he is. I could see Niall getting flustered out of the corner of my eye. Why was he getting mad, though? We aren't even dating...!

"You, too, Harry." I said, smiling. He smiled and then walked over to Zayn and Liam.

"Hey, Love. Nice dress. Where'd you buy it?" Louis said.

"I don't know. Sometimes I buy things. From stores." I said.

"Right." He said, looking confused. He walked over with the others.

Now it was just me and Niall standing there.

"Why were you getting mad?" I asked him.

"What?" He said.

"When Harry was flirting with me, you were getting mad." I said.

"No..." He denied it, but blushed and looked down.

"You like me!" I called him out.

"No!" He said, blushing even more.

"It's ok... I like you, too..." I said. Just then the others called for us to tell us the limo was here. On the ride to the restaurant I sat as far away from Niall as possible. I couldn't like him... I just couldn't. Not after Eric. Not after what he did to me...

When we got to the restaurant everyone sat down besides me, and the last chair was next to Niall. I hesitated, but finally sat down. I got a text from him.

So you like me...? It said.

Yeah... I texted back.

He started typing back but then Harry said, "Niall! It's not polite to text at the table! You either, Leanna!"

"Looks like they're texting each other," Zayn said.

"Oh really?" Louis said. "What are you talking about?"

"Nothing." I answered quickly.

"Nothing means something, and something is something. Therefore I am hungry!" Harry said.

"Why do I even hang out with you guys...?" I sighed out.

"Because were awesome!' Liam said.

"Yeah, you guys are totally awesome." I said sarcastically.

"You bet!" Zayn said. Our food came over at that moment.

"The portions are too small..." I whispered. The guys laughed at me.

"We've got another Niall here," Harry said.

I blushed and started to eat. Niall watched me, I looked at him with a spaghetti filled mouth. "What?" I mumbled through spaghetti. He just laughed. I seen a few people staring at me in disgust. "Oops..." I whispered, swallowing and then wiping my hands and mouth. The people turned away. I could tell that they were talking about my eating habits. I pushed my plate away and felt embarrassed.

"Woah." Liam said. "That food shouldn't still be there if it's Leanna's plate."

"I'm not hungry." I said.

"Are you sure? You nev-"

"I said, I'm not hungry." I cut him off.

"Ok..." He shrugged and went back to his food.

I just hate it when I embarrass myself. But, when people start to talk about me like that it just ticks me off. You see, I'm like ticking time bomb. But you just don't kn0w how much time you have left so I could blow at any moment.

The rest of the dinner was good. We shared a few laughs and ate dessert, but I couldn't help but think everyone was still talking about me. After dinner I sat next to Liam in the car.

"What was that about in the restaurant, Leanna? You never not finish your dinner." He whispered.

"Some people were talking about me... You know how I hate that..." I whispered back.

"Oh, I thought you were starving yourself."

"Never! Food is my lover!" I said acting offended. He chuckled.

We arrived at the hotel and I went into me and Niall's room. I kicked my heels off and laid on my bed. "Ahhh, those heels hurt like hell."

"Tired?" Niall asked walking in.

"Yes." I answered simply. "I'm using the bathroom first!" I sung, sprinting into the bathroom

"Why?!" He said. I giggled.

I put my hair up in a bun and peeled my dress off. I took off my earrings along with the rest of my jewelry. Then I got dressed in my pajamas. I threw on my Mickey Mouse shirt as well as my too big sweats. I slipped on my Toms and removed my makeup.

"I'm done, Nialler." I said, walking out. He was already dressed for bed, though. He wore a pair of grey sweatpants and a green shirt that said FREE HUGS.

"Your sweatpants are too big on you!" He said.

"I know, they're my ex-boy-" I cut myself off. I don't want to talk about Eric, but I have a feeling that now I've said something I'm gonna have to.

"Who?" He asked.

"No one." I choked out.

"Seems like this person gets you all choked up," He stated.

I sighed. "My ex-boyfriend."I said.

"You still like him?" He asked. He seemed kinda upset.

"NO. Definitely not. Not after what he did..." I said. I instantly regretted saying that.

"What'd he do?" He asked.

"Nothing..." I said, turning around so that my back was facing him. I was holding back tears now. What he did haunts me still. It was horrible.

"You can tell me, Leanna." He said, turning me around.

"He beat me..." I whispered. The tears spilled down my face like a waterfall. He embraced me in a hug, I didn't hesitate to hug him and sob in his chest.

"Look at me," He said, lifting my head so my eyes met his. "Don't cry. I'm here, and I will not let anyone do that to you ever again." He said.

"He would just get drunk, and blame everything on me. He shoved me against walls, punched me, kicked me, slapped me... Everything..." I trailed off. It was a total nightmare to be with him. But I was 16 and wanted love, now I'm 17 and want revenge, but I don't think I'll be getting that.

"I'm so sorry you had to go through that. No one as beautiful as you should ever be treated like that." He stared into my eyes. I stared into his. And before I knew it his lips were on mine.

It was the best kiss I'd ever had. Our lips moved in sync. It was perfect. We both pulled away and smiled.

"Leanna, I really like you. Would you go on a date with me tomorrow?" He said.

"I would love to." I smiled.

"Trust me, it won't be some posh restaurant either." He said.

"What a nightmare that was..." I said, biting my lip. He laughed.

For the first time in a year, I wasn't scared to love again.
