Call Me A Name, Kill Me With Words

Alexs P.O.V

Alex stood rooted to the spot, still shell shocked. Nathan was still clinging to his hand, making Alex feel claustrophobic. Ella was stood in between Nathan and Jack looking uncomfortable, while Jack was still looking at Alex waiting for a reaction. Just as Alex opened his mouth to say something, he was interrupted by Nathans whiney voice.
"Alexx... I don't understand. What's he sorry about? Hell, who even is this guy?!"
Jack looked from Nathan to Alex, and Alex noticed the way that his eyes rested on their entwined hands. He looked at Alex then, his eyes boring right into Alexs. It felt as if Jack was looking right into his mind.
"Nathan... Could you give me and Jack a minute? We have things that need to be discussed."
"Why not discuss them right here? I'm your boyfriend, I have a right to know."
Alex saw Ella roll her eyes at Jack out of the corner of his eye, before stepping in to save Alex.
"Come on Nathan, I think we should give them a second. It sounds serious."
Nathan pouted, folding his arms over his chest and not moving.
"I'm going nowhere. Anything Alex needs to talk about can be spoken about with me. Right Alex?"
Looking expectantly at Alex, his jaw tightned when Alex said nothing.
"Nathan... Just-"
"No! I am your boyfriend! I deserve to know what's going on!"
His voice was shrill and it pierced through Alex like a knife, angering him.
"Nathan I swear to god if you don't leave this room right now-"
Ella looked amused as she pulled Nathan's arm, leading him to the front door and cutting off the end of Alex's sentence.
"Let's go Nathan. You have about ten minutes guys, don't kill eachother."
She gave Alex a wink before dragging Nathan out if the front door and slamming it behind her.
Jack and Alex stood awkwardly in the hallway, Alex avoiding Jacks eye.
"I missed you."
Jacks voice broke the silence, and his words made Alexs heart start thudding in his chest. But he knew Jack was lying. He didn't miss Alex. He missed the sex.
"And it wasn't just your body I missed. I missed the odd little chats we had in my car. I missed arguing about whether Green Day are better than Blink 182. I genuinely missed your company Alex, and I have felt so bad these past few weeks."
With every word Jack had moved closer and closer to Alex, until their chests were about two inches apart. He stopped then, looking at Alex and waiting for an answer.
"How very touching. However it is completely invalid because I am in a very happy and stable relationship at the moment."
Jack looked at Alex for a moment, turnig his head to the side and studying him. Suddenly, he let out a loud, sarcastic laugh.
'If that is a happy stable relationship Alex, then I dread to think what a bad relationship looks like."
He didn't say it in a mean way, he said it in a tone of voice that suggested that he knew better than Alex. This angered him further, and Alex took a step away from Jack putting some distance between the two.
"Do you love him Alex? Do you really love him?"
Alex hesitated. Part of him wanted to say yes just to see what Jacks reaction would be. But another part of him would hate to lie to Jack. Sensing Alexs hesitation, Jack moved towards Alex again, leaving Alex no room to move back as he was now against the wall.
"You don't. I know you don't. I can tell by the way you look at him."
He was right, and it was annoying for Alex to know that Jack could read him so easily. With each passing second Jack got closer to Alex, so that their chests were now pressed together lightly. Alex was sure that Jack must have been able to feel Alexs rapid heartbeat, that increased when their faces moved closer to eachothers.
"Jack...?"
His lips hovered over Alexs, the intoxicating smell of his aftershave making Alex shiver. Though he wanted nothing more than for Jack to press his lips against his, he knew he could not let this happen. Not again. Mustering what little will power he had left, he used his right hand to push Jack away roughly by his chest. Jack was persistent, grabbing both of Alexs wrists and pinning them down by his sides. He hated and loved the feeling that action gave him, loving the controlling side of Jack but hating the fact that he was so weak for this man. The need to be in control took over Alex, so when Jack ducked his head in again to kiss him Alex moved his face away.
"Just go with it Alex... I know you want too."
Alex whined quietly, looking into Jacks big brown eyes and seeing the lust pooling in them. Gulping, he attempted to free his wrists from Jacks strong grasp and failing miserably.
"But... I have a boyfriend, and he could get back any minute..."
"What boyfriend?"
There was a mischievous glint in Jacks eyes as he spoke those two words, and he pressed his body against Alexs making him gasp and struggle to hold in a moan. The long forgotten feeling of having Jacks body near him again had been sorely missed, making Alex press closer to him eagerly, not caring about how desperate he probably seemed. This made Jack chuckle in triumph. Slamming Alex against the wall, he pressed their lips together in a heated kiss. The feel of having Jacks lips on his again was almost enough to make Alex groan. As much as he hated to admit it, he had really missed Jack. His lanky bony body. His soft lips. His thick, dark hair. His big brown eyes. His ability to make Alex turned on by just looking at him. All these things swirled around Alexs brain, making it difficult for him to think straight. When Alexs wrists were released from Jacks hold, he wrapped his arms tightly around his neck. Jacks tounge prodded at Alexs bottom lip, and Alex opened his mouth immediately. As their tounges slid against eachothers slowly and sweetly, Jack moved one of his hands up to gently cradle Alexs face. The gesture made Alex go weak at the knees, and he pulled away so that their lips were barely touching anymore. Sighing, he began to untangle himself from Jacks warm embrace. Jack frowned and looked at Alex longingly, before allowing Alex to move away. Smoothing his clothes and hair down, Alex took a deep breath and took a few steps away.
"I... Nathan will probably be here soon."
Jack nodded, looking at him sadly for a minute. Before Alex knew what was happening, Jack was infront of Alex. Looking into Jacks eyes, he saw nothing but sadness. Guilt washed over Alex, making him lean his face towards Jacks for the second time that evening. Their lips met in a short and sweet kiss, that barely lasted two seconds. Their noses brushed together, and Alex moved his hand up to cup Jacks face in his palm.
"I'll see you soon. Promise."
Jack nodded, and as if on cue Nathan came bursting through the door. Alexs hand dropped back down to the side of his body, and he smiled falsely at Nathan.
"Ready to go babe?"
Jack flinched at his name for Alex, but managed to disguise it by scratching his cheek nonchalantly. Alex nodded, looking at Jack for one fleeting moment before exciting the house. Ella was just walking up the steps as the left, looking out of breath.
"Oh bye Alex. Call me yeah?"
Knowing that Ella would want to know all of the gossip, he promised to call her as soon as he could.
"Care to explain what all of that was about then?"
Nathan was attempting to sound indifferent about the whole thing, but Alex knew that if he didn't give him an answer there would be an argument.
"Just an old friend that's all. We had a bit of a falling out and we both wanted to put things right."
The answer he gave Nathan was practically true. The only lie was that his feelings for Jack were slightly more than friendly. Much more than friendly.
"I don't believe you."
Sighing in annoyance, Alex turned to look at Nathan as they walked.
"I don't give a shit Nathan. I'm telling you the truth but if you don't believe me then that's fine."
His voice was snappy and angry and his words made Nathan flinch slightly. Feeling no remorse whatsoever he watched Nathan walk down his road, feeling glad to be alone.
His thoughts drifted back to earlier. The fact that it had been a month since he had last seen Jack had made the kiss even more amazing. Seeing Jack had only made Alex realise how much he didn't like Nathan. Everything about Nathan was wrong in Alexs eyes. His hair was the wrong colour and length. His body was the wrong shape. His aftershave was the wrong smell. As unfair as Alex was being towards the poor guy, he couldn't help it. Nobody would compare to Jack anymore, and even though Alex was defintily the dominant one in their relationship he still wasn't satisfied. Jack was different. Jack was a challenge. A challenge that Alex would be more than willing to take on, any day, no matter what the consequences may be. As much as he had sworn to himself that he should always be in control, he couldnt help but love it when Jack dominated him. It would take some getting used to sure, but Alex was willing to try this time.

Nathans lips pressed against Alexs softly, and he wrapped his arms around Alexs neck. They had made up yesterday after Alex had apologised, and luckily Nathan didn't press the subject any further. Squeezing his eyes shut tightly, Alex tried his best to get in the mood for Nathans sake, but it wasn't working. Ever since the kiss that him and Jack had shared two days ago, Alex had been completely preoccupied. He had even found himself pretending that Nathan was Jack. It was cruel and unfair to both himself and Nathan, but he didn't have much of a choice. When Nathan sat down on Alexs lap and began grinding his hips down Alex had no choice but to push him off. No amount of imagining would work today.
"For gods sake, why have you been acting so weird recently?!"
He sounded annoyed and Alex really couldn't blame him. If he was in that position he would have been annoyed too. "I'm sorry Nathan, I've just got stuff on my mind. I'll make it up to you though, I promise."
Nathan sighed and sat down on the couch next to Alex, before running his fingers through his hair. Jack had always loved it when Alex ran his fingers through his hair, and he could see why. It felt relaxing, and Alex leant back on the sofa.
"What's on your mind baby?"
"Just bills and stuff really. Nothing too important, but enough to make me stressed I guess."
Nathan cooed as Alex lied through his teeth. He was having no trouble with the bills at the moment. A regular customer was keeping him busy and leaving him with money to spare. He was no Jack, but he wasn't old, grimy or disgusting, which was always a bonus.
"So... How are you going to make it up to me?"
"Anything you want, have a think and get back to me."
Nathan yawned, resting his head on Alexs chest and shifting around to get comfortable. Before long he was fast asleep on Alexs rising and falling chest. He was a sweet kid really. Kind of annoying at times, but sweet nonetheless. It was a shame the way things had turned out, and Alex was dreading the day he would have to break his heart.

"Hi what can I get for y-"
Jack looked up from behind the till and stopped dead in the middle of his sentence when he saw Alex. Clearing his throat and brushing his fringe out of his eyes, he tried again with his question.
"What can I get for you?"
"A word? Somewhere private?"
Glancing around the pretty much empty coffee shop, he called to one of his coworkers.
"Hey Jen, do you mind covering for me? Only for ten minutes or so."
She looked at Alex, then at Jack, then back to Alex.
"Ohh... Yeah course. Have fun. But not too much fun."
Winking, she went back to wiping the tables down whilst humming to herself. Blushing furiously, Jack lead a smirking Alex to the store cupboard behindbthe counter. Once they were both in, there was barely room to breathe. Their bodys were already pressed together tightly when Alex took Jacks hand in his own.
"Any particular reason you're here? Not that I'm not pleased to see you, because I am-"
His speech was cut off by Alex connecting their lips together softly. Pulling back, Alex shrugged and replied to Jacks question whilst brushing his hair from his face.
"I just wanted to see you is all."
"Aww did ya miss me?"
He was joking when he said it, but the reason he was here was because he had been missing him. A lot.
"Shut up. But yes I did. Also, my boyfriends busy tonight, so we can do something."
Alex had expected Jack to be happy, but instead his face fell.
"So you're still... With him?"
"Well yeah..."
Jacks expression turned from sad to angry in about two seconds flat.
"I suppose that's the only reason you're here then? Because your first choice was busy?"
His voice was stiff, angry - not at all like his usual soft joking tone.
"No of course not! I'm just trying to keep everyone happy here!"
"Whatever. I'm busy later anyway."
He looked away from Alex, and moved so that he was nearer the door.
"What are you doing?"
"Not any of your business really is it? You have no hold over me, remember?"
Sighing, Alex ran his fingers through his own hair and decided to swallow his pride.
"Look Jack I'm sorry okay?"
"It's fine by me Alex. If you're happy in your little relationship then that's fine, it makes no difference to me. But please don't expect me to be your bit on the side."
His tone suggested that this was the end if the conversation, and he turned around and walked out of the tiny store cupboard. As Alex walked out of the coffee shop he passed Jack on his way.
"I'll see you soon okay?"
Jack just shrugged and carried on with his work, not even looking up. In a way, Alex could sort of understand why he was angry, but he felt that this was taking it a bit far. Alex had only been trying to keep everybody happy after all. But of course that had backfired too.
